Would I be able to use my XTRsense Apns for 2.2 ROM without working MMS or do I need to go into a 2.2 ROM with working MMS and back those up and use them?
the apns will work (no need to use a 2.2 ROM to backup apns).
are you sure that apns are the issue?

ps, i decided on villain but i think mmszap was used on most of the 2.1 sense roms
It's an app that you use to put in the apn settings for mms messages. There is two ways to do this at the moment. You eiter use mmszapp or edit the file /com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony

I've got talk/text/data working perfectly on my phone, just need to get MMS working now.

Thanks, just in case I ever switch to MetroPCS. Don't know if they're available in Columbus, OH. Cricket is but they're not accepting new customers here.

hey i need that fix for my droid eris on metro my mms is not working it worked before but i updated it to 2.2 so no bueno..
Endoki has released the fix. it is a One-Flash-Fix. It works best with a fresh flash, without any other MMS Fix modifications.
Details:
MetrOFF for [GB/FROYO-CM/AOSP] ROMs:
- Changes carrier name on status bar/lock-screen to "MetroPCS."
- Updates BUILD.PROP with the right settings for MetroPCS.
- Updates telephony.db/APNs with the right settings for MetroPCS.
- Installs Modded Mms.apk required in most [GB/FROYO-CM/AOSP] ROMs.

This works perfect I used it on my eris with metro and I have mms now.
Adrynalyne had earlier posted a flashable zip file for froyo roms, using amend scripts, which adds dial up networking under wireless & networks menu.
The same feature was included in com rom and ukb 2.0 as well. In the latest gb leak based nameless rom, this feature isn't available which leaves me unable to connect my phone to qpst, which is quite useful in fixing few network and data issues.
My request to the developer community is simple. Please give us a flashable zip of edify scripts which can add this necessary feature to the rom. Please see this as a necessary feature and not a verizon bloat.
I hope I haven'toffended any feelings here and will be grateful to anyone who can help me getting this feature enabled on the new gb leak based nameless rom.
Btw, thanks to all developers here for their amazing work on the fascinate!

I just want to 2nd this. I would also love to use CM7, but, for now, data won't work so I too can't connect my phone to QPST and reflash to cricket. I've done everything from a touch diamond to a EVO to cricket, but the fascinate has to be one of the hardest because you have to use two versions etc. This would make it so other users such as myself, JEEZYMT3G, and jenisiz can use CM7 based roms. i'm pretty sure if we could flash in CM7 we could then flash miui if we wished.
I think TSM Parts for Froyo had this option with it. Can anything be done in this regard?

was hoping there is a rom higher than 2.1 for my cricket flashed eris? i have tried a couple, but can never get mms to work. i tried the anycut method with apn backup restore. but does not seem to work. any one have a eris on a rom higher than 2.2?

Apologies on yet another ICS technical question thread. But have searched pretty extensively and cant find any guidance or resolution posted elsewhere.
Have followed all instruction with install of v9.6 and v9.7.
Both still having data issues.
v9.6 would be able to access google via web browser, but apps/market could access data.
v9.7 no data access at all.
Anyone point me in the right direction?

Currently running Lite'ning Rom 1.1 as it provides all functionality, but miss that call recording function of ICS

You need rom check if you have the correct apn details. On the rom where data is working, go into settings/wireless & network/mobile networks/access point names and write them down. You can re-enter them later in the effected roms.

I've used the same APN setting on the stock ROM, as well as lite'ning v1.1 rom and data works fine across web and apps.
Same setting don't work with ICS. At one point the web would work, but not any apps or market.
Any other ideas?

I also recently installed the Resurrection Remix Rom and my mobile data isn't working either. I'm currently trying to flash the Siyah kernel to see if that resolves it.
The rom is great, but too bad the mobile data isn't working for me, I can't rely on wifi all the time.
Also my phone is with Virgin Mobile, so not sure whether it's Virgin being useless.
