1) Fore the moment there isn't jet a good WP7 rom available. A little bit patience.
2) Yeah you can used android on your device 2.1 and even FroYo (2.2) only request is to have a Radio version who is compatible. Radio 2.12.50 ore the latest 2.15.50 are recommended

PS; there is be done lot of improvement about android on the HTC HD2 but not least there are some versions where not everything works. But thy are working on it.

Try Android and make up your own mind what you prefer. Android runs on the SD card so you don't have to remove Windows. You have both.

I don't know about you... I ever once use WM6.1 that Micht created... release 6.1 ... I hate the icons... it look so messed up... i think it converted from QVGA icons. So I get back to official ROM of TMobile...

I misunderstood the context of your question.
I thought you were looking for the spl1.2 version of WM6.5
look in the sticky at the top of this forum for valid links.
I did use michy 4-1 for a while and more recently the clean 6.0 version.
Curently I am experimenting with his latest WM6.5 rom
Of course I have SPL3.5
I would encourage you to read the wiki and stickys to avoid making
the same mistakes that a lot of people are making.

Sure? We can just take a Rom for another device (i.e. this: [ROM|16/03|ITA/WWE|6.5.5|23545]DIAMOND LOVER's 3.00|HTCSense2.5.2012/Titanium/Lite ) and put in the Mega without cooking/modifying it???
It has to be ported, but thats simple, it was explained by davidshaw in the hspl thread sir

However... for me (as far as i know) our current mega rom is the newest. But still ...I hope there is someone who could build the sense 2.5 for mega with 16 or 9 quicklinks in the homescreen tab

There is another - maybe dumb - question. Is there any CLEAN windows to install? SE users have their wm pack's on manufacturer site. Is there any HTC wm sources?

Please guys i found a wm 6.5 rom with WP7 interface in XDA forum for China and registered there so i could download it but it seems like i cant download because am in the uk or something ? each time i login, the page keeps redirecting me to another page showing me my profile only and no link back to the forum so i can make the download, and i have tried all i can, please can anyone PM the download link to that rom ? am so loving it and would donate $40 for it, i am running andoid but i still want to have a feel of wm 6.5 in my HD2. Here is the link to the rom..

Hello sir, I must admit I don't have access to the Chinese webpage; but if it's needed I can ask it to one of my Chinese friend's if he would download it for me.
But I just take a look on the video (the link you added), and this have nothing to see with WM6.5 I mean your first question was to have a W6.5 ROM with a WP7 interface. But what you see on the video is simply the WP7 ROM.

Don't try to flash it, cuz I have tried it for you all. Destroys sd card. Only solution is to format it in a nokia device and your sd card works again.

every wp7 rom reformats your sd card in a typically way, doesn't it? this is a known behaviour and rom doesn't work without that....
Why does this thread need to be deleted? The op clearly states its for kitchen use and not flashing. He is helping out anyone who potentially wants the files if they want to attempt to rebuild the rom to work on our HD2s.

but does it works on hd2?
i don't understand if it's the x86 version or arm version
It's a sort of update/data file for Zune that upgrade your mango version on your phone when you connect it.
I tried to upgrade "blaksideSeven 7592" fom Elminster with it, but it doesnt work, I dont get the upgrade screen on Zune.
sorry if this has already been answered, but don't you need the update to have HD2 drivers inside it? or doesn't the update replace them.
you would need to rebuild the rom from scrach as in replace all apropriet files manually and then see if it works...and all sorts of other crap
in short you wuld need to know what you are doing
if i where you peeps i wuld wait untill DFT had relesed these versions and then atempted to mod them your selves... unless you know what you are doing
from what i can tell its a generic update file for a wp7 native device...

it is a generic update straight to the phone which is a lill bit hard to do customization etc ... well hopefully DFT will release it or they r waiting for RTM ver
im thinking they are waiting untill the finall version of mango... untill then we just have to wait and be patient with them ... sence it is very hard work to test and solve problems that araise from a device that has no official build for it, and no drivers to speack of
i think we shuld consider ourselves lucky that DFT have invested as much as they have in the HD2
i for one would be glad to wait untill the final version of mango if it means a bug free rom ... just not years mind you

We'll just leave this here. It should be no surprise that those savvy gurus at team DFT have not only managed to get their hands on the RTM build of Mango (7720) but they've already have it running on an HTC HD7.
No word on whether others can flash this and our Chinese-forum skills are not helping here, but we imagine we'll see this trickle out to other devices, including the HD2...why not, right?

Microsoft is only giving OS update as beta, no driver nothing, its same for all... It just use the old drivers already in the old rom. It only updates OS files.

Well to be honest they just can't do something different, just think you were in their place, you must sell your OS. We HD2 users are only a small amount compared to the rest of possible users out there .
So if they did some drivers, they have to explain that to HTC, aswell it is HTC's job to provide drivers and not microsofts.
And why should Htc make drivers for a device they can now sell for 200 € if they can make the same for devices which will cost 400-700 €? It is nothing against us, they have to do this if they want to be competitive and survive.
