Yea got a bid so far! I personally dont like windows mobile 7, android all the way for me. This was the upgrade Orange offered as they dont have the HD for now and so getting this and selling it for one
I'm finding myself in a similar position, I wanted the HD but they have sent me this out. It'll be here Monday also. I imagine there will be more listings after Monday for sure, good thinking on getting that head start. I think I'd rather do that than pay £7 to send it back to Orange.

Exaclty yeah, I want the HD but they dont have it as of yet therefore selling the unwanted Mozart for it. I was the first on ebay but now there are 3 others, one of which was 'highly inspired' by the wording of my listing down to the letter at points lol but my lisitng is at £499 so far being lead by an American, perhaps they cant get this phone right now, VERY curious to see how high this goes!
I intend on picking up the HD from a Phones4u store as soon as the cash transfers

I wish we had things like that over here...
I use this as a Daily internet portal, listening to music on Spotify, ebook, sketch design concepts, taking notes for work. Anytime I travel, this Little tablet is the one thing I take with me on the plane. I don't really play that many games on it, some and it does a decent job for that. So I think these Specs will be fine as long as the Apps I use doesn't require a Quad-Core. Might gift another tablet to myself, but probably sell it to a co-worker who might need the all around awesomeness of HTC Flyer at cost.

Just got in for the $199 Open Box HTC Flyer. I'm so glad I waited. I came so close to buying this afternoon and then I went to work at 4pm to 2 am came home and it was $100 cheaper then the $299 I was gonna pay.
FYI: I just checked eBay and they are still selling for around $290 used.
Looks like they sold out of the refurbs that were $180.

Same here. It was $295 and I almost bought one but went to Best Buy to ***** at them in person for jerking me around. I come home about an hour later (found a friend camping outside Best Buy) and it was $199.49! I couldn't click buy fast enough. Thank you Best Buy but you still suck.
I also bought one from techforless. We will see what happens. They got good reviews on Google shopper.

I live in Colorado Springs and have purchased from Tech for less many times, to all that have doubts, I would say you have nothing to worry about and will receive a quality product for the price, the reason they did this is because they had over 800 yesterday and when they have a large amout of inventory they do what is called a fire sale and that is how they move a lot of merchandise in a very short period of time. I wish I would have seen the sale would have liked one myself, OH WELL I guess I just missed out. Congrats to all that got one you got a heck of a deal!!!

Well, as luck would have it, I saw a tweet today about being able to go see the transformer prime at select Gamestop locations. There were two in Colorado that were supposed to have them to demo.
I called one of them in Denver, they said they had a display unit and a unit to sale. Well, hop in the car, and now I have an Amethyst Grey 32GB sitting next to me, completely sealed.
I wanted the 64GB version, and I think I will hold for that from Amazon. I'll probably just sell this one on craigslist.
I know I'm very lucky. The first time I've ever had anything like this happen to me.

Stuck it on Craigslist. Some of the people on IRC are saying I should take a dump of the rom before I sell it. However, if I open, I can't return it. Decisions, decisions.
Just called a gamestop about 75 miles away from me & they have the 32gb champagne gold one (purple) but i'm thinking i won't ever hardly ever be looking at the back of the thing anyway lol.My Xoom stays in a gel cover or either the folio at all times..so color really shouldnt be a big deal.

Lucky Mofo. If you don't plan on keeping it, smartest move now would be to put it on eBay. I'm sure you could easily get $800 or more for it. Since it's so rare and not even officially out yet. You should contribute by dumping the rom to developers so we could have a nice headstart on developing. The sooner the better and faster we get custom roms, CWM recovery, n over clocking.
Do a system dump dude listen to them then sell it on ebay I'm sure even opened you could still get Atleast 600! Just leave the clear plastic stickers on

Aftermseeing this thread I called around to local gamestops to see if they had it. They said only the big store ones around here would have it. I found one and they said none in stock yet but they will have it on the 19th. Only thing is he said they only taking pre orders on it so once they come in, they pretty much all will be accounted for. Especially since demand is so high. He said everybody been calling like crazy and going bananas looking for that tablet. I was like I know, it's the first quad core android tablet..LMFAO

So you bought a new prime with every intention of returning it while your original prime is getting fixed. Maybe you think twice next time or make sure there is a return window.
Considering all the problems with the prime, I am sure you could convince them to tak it back. We were told the same thing about Microcenter, and they took my prime back no questions asked due to all the issues (But in my case we were honestly returning due to the issues)
I'm waiting for the next model - Not worth the cash for a device with issues (Putting foil on the face to improive wifi reconfirmed my decision to wait)
Well that was stupid. Sounds like you need an intervention, lol. If everything works on it, you should have no problem selling it. Maybe even at a profit.

Anyone know where I can get a screw for the i717. I need it for the back plate. It's bugging the hell out of me knowing one screw is missing. OCD I know. I don't want to try ebay because the last time I ordered one for an iphone, it was some cheap stuff.
I would be taking out another screw and take it to the hardware store.

who have ordered in tmo store online and received their unit box sealed like tmo local store unit? the first time i ordered online i receive my device in a box that is not sealed. they just place 2 tmobile sticker to hold the box cover. when i open my unit there was a dent and scratch on the back so be aware. make sure when you receive a unit when ordered online, the unit must be sealed otherwise the unit you will be getting is a returned from someone nor refurbished.

PLEASE RETURN YOUR PHONE... do not accept a phone if is not sealed. thats an used one for sure ....contact tmobile and tell them they sent you a used phone when you paid for a new one ...
the box is supposed to be covered in transparent plastic...

that is what i did. i cannot accept a device that has a minor issue! not with the $579 device! if some user here are sticking with some minor issue then it is not me, i always go for the way they advertise the phone. no dead/stuck pixel and a gap. the phone is advertise as zero gap device. but when htc will perfect this design just like the way they advertise it? this phone is one of the best built quality phone at the moment..

very true ..... i am getting mine wednesday , but im goin to get it in store, so i make sure everything is perfect, and in case im too lazy and order ti online or over the phone, im goin to tell them to make sure they send me a new phone ( the box covered in plastic ) since im buying a new phone, not a used one .. and yes i loooove the design of this amazing phone

yeah! because when i received mine was just a box no cover whatsoever just a 2 tmobile tape like i said on top post. i tried calling all t mo store in my area but only 4 store carry them and they said back order. so i was like no shyt!lol.. i already return 3 items, 1 that has 5 dead pixel it can be seen to any color and a gap. and the 2 i bought in store has 1 tiny stuck pixel top right, noticeable in black background. i don't like any minor issues in my ONE, i want it perfect so i can get what i paid for..

not sure why people are complaining about gaps or anything that are not dead pixels since you will probably use a case with it and notice the gaps

The key word you used was "probably". Some people don't use a case. Some people want their phone to look as nice as possible. You are supposed to get what you pay for.... and this is not a cheap device.

every one of us has our own preference about build quality. me i want it just like the way they advertise the device. money doesn't grow on trees.
it doesn't matter if you use case it will not make the gap disappear, it will be there and you know it. and if you're ok with a minor defective device well that's fine with me, that is your device not mine. i just want my earned money to be worth spending on the device.

Can you guys show me where the advertise it with no gaps? I don't think I ever saw the exact words "no gaps" being advertised.
What about the operating system what about sense? Sometimes when you exit something it's not as smooth as other transactions. Why aren't you guys complaning about that?
Are the gaps really really that bad ?

Its advertised as "zero gap" construction but I agree that people are too anal about it. People sending back all these devices are going to make it very difficult for carriers to replace them if it keeps up.

operating system can be fix by updates.. it is actually zero gaps because it is a unibody device.. everything need to be flawless. people care because they want their money to be worth on spending.what if that gaps will get worse its getting older? what are you gonna do? send it to htc to get it fix? if you are ok with you device with minor issue then that is fine.sharing this to anyone who care not to anyone doesn't care.
Mine wasn't sealed. Just had two stickers holding it shut. The bag it came in was sealed though. It had the sticky cover over the phone and nothing was missing and the phone was in perfect condition.

Ummm... Pretty sure most carriers ship in open boxes - how else do you think they get the required SIM card in there? All phones I've ever gotten from T-Mobile, going all the way back to the Sidekick II, were just sealed with a sticker.
Same thing with at&t
Same with Sprint
Same with Verizon
And Sprint didn't even use SIM cards back then.
You guys are just looking to complain.

Please search on the Internet how carriers put their SIM cards inside the box and you will see how it works ... And today a tmobile representative confirmed all new htc one comes with the box covered in plastic , if is not covered, the phone is reburbished... I wish i had the conversation saved. So i could show it to you
