sry for bad english
You can run Android from your SD card, without losing your current installation of Windows Mobile. This is stable.
You can flash an Android ROM so that it replaces Windows Mobile. This is stable.
Chose which suits you best and then visit either the HD2 Android Development forum, or HD2 NAND Android Development forum to find out how to do it, once you've decided which you'd prefer.

This might be of assistance. You should really post in the devices thread. THere are countless tutorials that will help one flash Android to their HD2 while still having WM on their phone.
Thanks for the reply. I am new here. I read somewhere that to change to android, must change radio version. also how to find out waht is my phone SPL version?

Thread on HD2 SD Android ROMs is here, there's a few nice one to choose from, my personal favorite (speed, reliability, good battery life) was AmeriCanAndroid (CM7 implementation for HD2) - probably most popular so far with 18k replies and 3M views,
should you decide to test it, all the necessary info in posts #1 and #2,

Hi,
I am new to android ROM development. I searched the forum but could not find anything specific to my requirements.
Basically I need help in the following two things.
1. To make my own custom ROM.
2. To modify the call screen of that custom ROM and tailor it to my own needs.
Additionally i want to know, what is the learning curve of this whole stuff and how much time it will take to complete the above mentioned tasks.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Kind Regards
*My Device is HTC Wildfire S, However initially i want to work and test on the android emulator that comes with the android SDK.
Hello, I will try build my own AOSP ROM but I wanna have clarify to some questions before I do.
I readed top-to-bottom this thread, is it still usable to build Android 5.1? With some changes, of course.
I noticed the process of building do not changes a lot when is to another device, I wanna know here the process changes. On this part the user instructs to download the driver files. I wanna build the AOSP to delos3gub (Samsung Grand Quattro), which drives should I get?
Also, in "#3 Choose your Device!" at the same thread (here), the user says:
If you're on GSM, you want to use "maguro." If you're on Verizon, you want to use "toro."

Thank you, and sorry my english
Edit: I was told to ask this in this section of the forum so here goes.
Hi,
some time ago i bought a 50€ chinese tablet to mess with. It has android v4.0.4 on it and is very slow/ has a lot of useless stuff. In my attempt to educate myself on Android OS, I'm trying to build my own custom rom for it using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801690
I'm at the point where I could repack my work and flash it to this tablet, but all i've achieved so far is simplified version (less random apps and few tweaks here and there) of existing rom.
I want to update this tablet's android version but I'm completely unsure how I'm supposed to do that and google isn't being of any help as the search results are just bunch of those irritating blog posts that in nutshell just explain how to plug your usb cable into your pc.
No updates are provided by the manufacturer himself (duh).
Do I have to get desired android version's source code and integrate it with existing files or something?
Any help is appreciated.
