ok guys, I have honestly read a s*#t load of threads regarding the installation of this ROM.
I cannot make sense of all the back and forth.
Is it possible to get an idiots simple step by step guide?
I have a Telstra branded HD2, and have 1.72 WWE ROM, with HSPL3, SPL-2.08.
What do I need to do to install the new 3.14 WWE ROM, so I do NOT get the 50Mb RAM issues? Do I need to downgrade first, flash HSPL, SPL etc etc.
Thank you in advance. I hope I can get it sorted.

You can't install a Telstra branded Stock rom (there isn't yet one) without using HSPL.
But using HSPL on this particular Stock rom will means you will only get +/- 50mb of program memory.
I am not after a Telstra ROM.
I have installed Official 1.72 WWE ROM, but it has the Chinese integration. Although the ROM is ok for now.
I want to upgrade to non Telstra, Official 3.14 WWE ROM, need to knwo what SPL/HSPL I need for the RAM to work.

Interesting.
I'm in the same boat: I'm using Hong Kong (HKSCL_WWE) 1.72.831.1 ROM with HSPL3 (2.08) on a Telstra branded HD2. I was looking at upgrading the 3.14 WWE but I was a bit unsure.
So you are saying I should either:
*. Wait for a Telstra 3.14 ROM update <- not that I would anyway, for Telstra ROM's are bloated.
or
*. Wait for a new version of HSPL which supports 3.03 SPL?
yeah, if you don't will be stock on +/- 50Mb of program memory you need to wait fore a compatible HSPL version who match with the integrated SPL 3.03!

Maybe I wasn't clear the first time, but you can't upgrade a stock rom to a Telstra branded device without using HSPL (HSPL 3 2.08) But this means you only have +/- 50Mb of free program memory left.
Thanks for the clarification.
The sad part is that it does not appear to be any development in a new HSPL at the moment.
I flashed the WWE version.
Initially Bricked the phone, just like most people did. I had to reFlash using a 1.43 stock ROM to recover it.
Then, after extracting the EXE file i used CustomRUU to reflash 3.14, so no radio and no SPL flash. I got the 448MB RAM, and a super smooth rom experience. My SPL is 1.6.
I managed to upgrade the radio to 2.09.51.03_2 and still have the 448MB RAM.
Hope this helps.

if the telstra rom comes before hspl you can use that to get spl3 and then use SSPL to flash the wwe or 3.x based cooked roms, so no need for the telstra bloat.
(at least i assume SSPL will do it,, i've not seen it confirmed, but it's the first thing i'll try when o2 spits a 3.x rom out.)

the title of this thread sounded perfect and it started off really well but seems to have died a death.
I consider my self to be a reasonably intelligent person and computer literate. i am a vb.net programmer and oracle programmer. i bought a stock hd2, installed hspl 2.08 and have been doing every artemdes rom release since.
this new rom has me totally stumped though.
i understand i need to install the new spl and if i dont the phone will quickly resart, fail and generally mess up because i am using hspl 2.08 with a new rom (3.14) that needs the new spl 3.03. i understand that.
I understand i need to flash the rom from a memory card to get the hspl over written.
i downloaded the rom, renamed it leoimg.nbh and put the rom on the root of a freshly formatted sd card and booted into the bootloader and got nothing. prob because of my 16gb mem card. okay i got that one.
so what now are my options?
1) stick with hspl 2.08 and atemedes rom 37
2) wait for a hspl okay with 3.03 (does not look like its happening)
3) buy a new memory card and boot from that via the leo img track and hope for the best?
4) try to install hspl 2.08 again, tell it to install spl 1.66 and then install the new rom via usb?
am i correct in those? also, what happens with the radio, do i have to have a specific one installed before the flash or will the flash install the correct radio as well?

Using HSPL in combination of Stock Rom 3.14 gives you limitation of program memory; bad reception, and also bad reception on WiFi.
The problem about bad reception isn't in all case, but limitation of free program memory is alway's there!
so remove your HSPL!
Rom locked O2 regular hd2, 1.66.hspl, 3.14 wwe rom extracted from the .exe, flashed using customruu.
As documented all over, flash the 3.14 rom onto a phone without spl3 and you show a much reduced Program memory. (RAM) Around 50MB free, running stock.
So i had decided to ignore 3.14 till hspl caught up,. or O2 released a rom, but boredom overcame me and i figured I'd have a look.
My main finding, and i was surprised I hadn't read it yet, was that flashing a ..51.. radio sorts out the free ram issue.
Yes you are down to 448 total ram, but the free ram is no longer 50 mb, around 160 - 180(sorry forgot to write it down,). Lose 128 meg to gain 128 meg, fair enough.
Reception and general connectivity seemed OK, but i didn't really put it under any real tests. wifi on, a few short test calls.(update, , forget that, i've flashed around 20 times tonight, playing with various combinations of 3.14 roms and spls and radios, and about half the time the calls are crackly or silent with a 51 radio, whilst the rest of the time it works fine.)
Anyway, i played with that for a bit, then thought i'd have a play with the rom in a kitchen, see if i couldn't unlock the ram, try the nk.exe from the tmous 3.14, just to see what happened, etcetera, and i ended up staring at a bootloader screen that said ''wrong platform'' on the microP line and it scared me so much i deleted the kitchen completely, went back to my custom 2.13 rom, and i'm not touching 3.14 again till the o2 rom arrives.
FYI
Found a post here about the 3.14 ROM. Seems like if you flash it from the SD card, and then reflash HSPL3, you will be OK......Maybe. FYI

except the sd flash would put spl3 on the phone and so no version of hspl can be put back on since they don't support spl3.
I am confused. Need help , Thanks
Hi, After reading the threads on ROM upgrades now I am confused if I can upgrade my HD2 having Telstra ROM with Artemis HD2 v40.0. (thread 612580)
I am looking at removing the Telstra brand stuff and put the latest build without any telco branding..
My ROM version is 1.49.841.1 (71528) WWE
Radio Version 2.05.51.11
Protocol Version 15.28.50.07U
Manila Version 1.0.19211622.1
OS Version 5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82)
I have seen different methods of upgrade. That confused me again. which is the right one my phone.
"1. Remove SD
2. Remove HSPL with HSPL2_RUN.exe (flash SPL 1.66.0000 with HSPL2_RUN.exe)
3. PowerOff the phone
4. Boot to bootloader (VolDown+PowerOn) and when it shows "USB" flash stock ROM by running matching RUU_Leo_S_HTC_XXX_3.14.XXX_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15 .50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe (get yours HERE)
5. Hard Reset (when phone starts booting after step 4, remove the battery, insert it back press VolUp+VolDown and still holding both press PowerOn and follow the instructions)
6. Boot to homescreen.
7. Run SSPL_RUU.exe with Artemis v40 RUU_Signed_0409.nbh in the same folder - YOU HAVE TO BE ON HOME SCREEN, NOT BOOTLOADER (this took me 3 tries until succeded - yes - nerve wrecking, but works). If it doesn't work (hangs on black screen for more than 2min or stays at 0%) remove the battery and try again. If still doesn't work - try solutions in NOTE below.
8. Hard reset (instructions in step 5)
9. when on homescreen - softreset."
Looked at the thread (26465) from which I copied the instructions above. As per the comment I wont be able to upgrade. Is that correct?
Also if I upgrade the radio will that cause any trouble? Or is the radio upgrade not necesary,
Thanks very much for helping.
Sir this will not work on a Telstra ROM!!
There isn't a 3.14.841.x Stock Rom available!!
Don't install stock rom over SD on your device if it isn't create for!
There are two way's to do:
- Waiting for a available Stock Rom 3.14.841.x ore a compatible HSPL version.
- Ore using the GoldCard technique.

There is no HSPL version present yet who is compatible with SPL 3.03
We need to wait sir
Ow Ps, do you have a Branded UK Orange device?
no its unbranded
Any updates on hspl for this yet
if its unbranded just flash a stock 1.66 to downgrade the spl then hspl as before.
Hi. I am on 3.14, i would need to downgrade too...
would this file i found online be good? :
RUU_Leo_HTC_NLD_1.66.404.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.0 ΒΆ
7U_2.06.51.07_Ship
Its 1.66.404.1 but not 1.66.0000.. is this a problem?
I need to find a stock rom on NLD (dutch) to downgrade before putting my HSPL... Why is it so hard to find an original file from factory, say 1.42 in everylanguage?
And what is the difference by downgrading to 1.42 or 1.66?
Thank you kind sirs
1.66.404.1 is rom version,,, 1.66.0000 is the spl version.
yes that rom should be fine assuming you have an unbranded hd2. doesn't matter which you downgrade to, they both will allow hspl.
its not at all difficult to find them.
look for "leo official roms" thread, in rom development section, and in there, first post first link takes you to most of the roms.
Samsamuel, thx a lot for that positive answer HD2 is indeed unbranded.
makes me feel better, been in despair with my dutch HD2...
So its finally clearer to me, 0000 is SPL and XXX is rom version
But to Downgrade, a non SPL version is ok then?
But to install HSPL, i need an SPL version?
And one last thing, can i install all of this stuff without booting from SDmini?
Those were the old procedures, no?
Thx!
all stock roms come with a version of spl, but it doesn't say which spl in the filename.
1.43 and 1.48 roms come with spl 1.42.0000
1.66 and 1.72 roms have spl 1.66.0000
3.14 comes with spl 3.03.0000 and hspl doesn't work with it.
the numbers you see in the filename are rom (1.66.404.1) and radio (2.06.51.07) versions, not spl.
when you look in bootloader at spl, it will always end either .0000 or .hspl where 0000 is stock.
it doesn't matter which spl you have, so long as it isn't spl 3.03 then hspl will work and allow you to flash roms andradios.
Thx! Even clearer now
Unfortunately, i am currently on 3.14.. i tried installing a lower version ROM (1.66, the link i put earlier) but it didnt work..
How can i downgrade to those versions who enable me to use HSPL? Once u have a higher rom, it detects lower and u cant downgrade?
Is the only method to flash with SDcard?

Then that isn't your stock rom. (Although you didnt say why it didnt work, , ) if its teh right rom it will work
I think i managed to install my English pack allright!
I installed the earliest official pack from HTC, rom 1.48
Then installed HSPL3, then my official HTC WWE 3.14 rom!
Confirmed, it works!!!
Again, Thank you for your time and your explanations of roms!
See you around on the forums, mate!
dont smile too soon, if you flashed a 3.14 rom whilst spl is installed then you will have memory and stability issues.
Go to
settings menu all settings system memory, what does it show for free program memory? around 50meg? should be about 140.
Couldnt really find "memory settings" but what if ound was this:
Total storage: 176 mb
Used storage 56
Free storage 119 mb
TOtal programm 208 MB
Used program 163 mb
free programm 45 mb
NO SD CARD (must buy one tomorrow lol)
So, as u said, its around 40 mb.. What should have i done better?
Also, what is the difference in the SPL?
I mean, from factory settings, i upgraded to 3.14.
With HSPL, i upgraded to 3.14
What difference does it make, isnt it the same? Doesnt 3.03 spl install itself?
Anyways, will be glad to hear your comments on my new problem then haha
not through usb flash. If hspl is installed it remains installed.
3.14 roms must have spl 3.03.0000
Before the 3.14 roms it didnt matter, all roms worked on any version spl, but the 3.14 roms dont.
You should have removed hspl first, (so that your spl ends .0000) then flashed the 3.14 rom, , this allows it to upgrade spl to 3.03.0000
Hhm, i really dont wanna brick my HD2 with all those stability issues.. is there a risk if i leave it like that?
Anyways, i'll restart the instalations then. I checked on bootloader, currently this is what i have: SPL-2.08 HSPL 8G XE
How should i proceed? Should i flash from SD card a 3.14 directly WWE? I have nothing yet on my HD2, (using 3.14 WWE official rom from HTC website) so i dont really care about flashing, reinstalling, hard resets
Just give me advice on how to proceed to have the perfect installation
Is a flash from SD card obligatory? But that would get rid of HSPL, no? and if i get rid of HSPL, my HD2 is going to go back to its original language (DUTCH), right? I want to avoid putting my HD2 in that language...
Say, if i SDFLASH the latest rom WWE (even though my HD2 previously to HSPL only accepted NLD (hence dutch) roms), will it work?
Sorry for taking up so much of ur time, but ur comments are so helpful
connect to usb, put the phone in bootloader.
then
run hspl2
choose 1.66.0000
when phone reboots, quickly hold voldown to reenter bootloader
run the 3.14.exe
Thx for the quick reply.
Why would i use HSPL 2 now, i was using the HSPL 3 before? Isnt it the latest most stable one tu use?
Can i still run HSPL3 and choose 1.66? (i think not actually i only had choice of 2.08)..
So can i run HSPL3 and then re run with HSPL2??? It wont have compatibility issues?
And how to install the exe while in bootloader? Is it a flash from SD Card?
What will happen if i leave my 3.14 in the 2.08 SPL? only stability issues? No risk of bricking, or long term affecting negatively the phone?
So many questions.. hope u can answer all of them..
Also, one last big question: Now that HSPL is installed, isnt it easier to simply, when i recieve my SD card, to flash a WWE official rom 3.14? wouldnt that do the trick? Or i need to go through HSPL2 for sure?
Thx again!
the .exe's are just installers, the spl/hspl inside is the same. So, the 2.08.hspl in hspl3, the actual code that gets flashed to your bootloader, is IDENTICAL to 2.08.hspl in hspl2.
But, hspl3 only has 2.08.0000 and 2.08.hspl as options, but since spl 2.08 isn't stock for your phone, if you ever needed to get back to stock, you can do that with hspl2, but not hspl3, so since the one version of spl/hspl that they both contain (2.08) is teh same, and hspl2 has extra options for a non tmous user, why use hspl3? there is no reason.
Oh, and whilst we're at it, hspl2 detects which spl you currently have and offers you the opposite (so if it finds 1.42.0000 it sets the dropdown to 1.42.hspl)
HSPL3 doesnt do this, it always offers you 2.08.0000 until you manually change it, and many a newb has just clicked OK and thinks they have installed hspl, when in fact they haven't.
Lol, i be one of the many noobs.. But in my bootloader, it says i have installed HSPL, so.. i guess its installed!
Will follow your recommendations, but just one last thing
How to remove this current HSPL3 then and restart the steps with HSPL2? You said that
"But, hspl3 only has 2.08.0000 and 2.08.hspl as options, but since spl 2.08 isn't stock for your phone, if you ever needed to get back to stock, you can do that with hspl2, but not hspl3, so since the one version of spl/hspl that they both contain (2.08) is teh same, and hspl2 has extra options for a non tmous user, why use hspl3? there is no reason"
I used HSPL3 because i read on forums thats its better to use the latest HSPL as the previous versions usually are out of date.. seems i was mistaken then... Also, i used HSPL3 because it was compatible with any 1.XX rom, and i could only downgrade as low as 1.48. Would HSPL2 be able to be installed on 1.48 official rom? I thought highest HSPL2 could work on was 1.42?
So you say that now that i have installed HSPL3, i cannot go back to stock? Im sure there would be a way, but what should i do then?
Should i just flash some stock rom from SD card, hoping it takes HSPL3 away, and restart procedure with HSPL2?
Or with USB sync i can restart the procedure, by just openiong HSPL2 without touching any rom?
I have read a lot of threads, tried them all but still have problems. Can sombody please help me.
I updated my HD2 with the original 3.14 from HTC then my troubles started.
I started getting an error about not enough memory. After checking it the device only sees 64 Mb memeory instead of 100+ for the working area.
After this I installed the last Artemis version, problem with memory gone. Because the version kept locking up my phone and sudden reboots happend, I re-installed Artemis. Then the memory error was back.
I have now tried everything that I could find: task 29, HSPL, back to SSPL, old versions, back to original (new), flashing original via SD card.
I keep getting 2 problems:
1) memory only sees 54 Mb working area !!!
2) when I try to flash I have to start from coloured screen. Otherwise won't see the HD2 (with Async). When flash starts and percentage screen appears it won't start updating.
Anyone....?
Reduce program memory (+/- 50MB) with Stock ROM 3.14 is because peoples don't remove HSPL before thy install stock ROM 3.14
Turn back to previous stock ROM
Remove HSPL, use HSPL2_RUN.exe and select a SPL version ex 1.66
Than reinstall stock ROM 3.14
I am not on HSPL.

No, my phone, first owner and have it since May.
Just thinking. I did put HSPL on it when my memory problem (64 Mb) started (after installing Artemis for second time). After that I went back to SPL.

My suggestion is to flash stock ROM 3.14 again over SD to be sure.
I already did that, same problem. With the original HTC upgrade 3.14 renamed to leoimg and boot from SD card.

flash original shipped via SD then hard reset then flash 3.14 again and see what happens.
thank you. it looks like it's working. sees 73 MB memory, still not all I think but it's a start
I too am on 3.14. Was a stock dutch rom so annoying
I downgraded to 1.48. Used HSPL3 to install my WWE 3.14.
I too have around 50 mb of memory.
Indeed, the solution seems to be to remove HSPL before running the rom. but if i remove hspl, how will i be able to run the WWE rom? wouldnt the phone be blocked on Dutch settings again?
Also, i was using HSPL3. How can i remove it, to then install HSPL2? what steps should i follow, what should i remove first, add next, etc? (for example, nobody had told me HSPL and 3.14 caused memory problems.. any other things i need to know? )
Thx for the explanations! (and to Samsamuel for his previous explanations)
Original is still working, but when I upgrade to 3.14 (original or Artemis) memeory problem is back.
Still in search of a solution.....who can help.
The memory problem is because you have HSPL while running 3.14 ROM. The easiet method is to go and flash the origional ROM that your phone came with. This should remove the HSPL. If it doesn't, then run HSPL2 - in it is the option to select the SPL that origionally came with the phone (these end in .0000).
If this ROM was from HTC (and not with mobile phone company branding), then you can reflash with the 3.14 ROM appropiate to your region.
If your phone is branded (ie O2, T-Mobile UK, Vodafone, etc), then you have to use the GoldCard method * HERE *. Then you can follow the process for the non-branded HTC phone.
Please note, that when you flash your phone you do so at your own risk. Make sure before you start what phone you have (ie T-Mobile USA) and read the instructions. Then read the instruction until you are sureyou know what you are doing.
Tried it all but still the same problems. back on original
Every time I try to update to 3.14 memory problems start. I don't understand. I really went thru every thing step by step but I don't get the whole memory back even on original the max is 73 MB. A friend of mine has the same one and is on original ROM with 123 MB free memory.
Is there a way to see what's blocking the memory?
can somebody please help me, I have flashed 5 different ROM's to my vodafone HD2 and have encountered a varying degree of problems with each one. I would very much like somebody to tell me where I can get a Stock ROM not locked to any carrier so I can reflash my pretty usless fone or indeed to help direct me to a stable cooked ROM that would allow my fone to work again.
Thanks is advance.
P.s - my first post so please be gently, also the last 3 I have tried are Artemis ROM's with no sucessful outcomes.

there is no stock rom that is 6.5.x They are all 6.5
Not sure what you mean by stock rom not locked to a carrier, , do you mean a non branded rom (the ones marked HTC WWE, look HERE or in the various threads in the rom development section.) or do you mean you want to unlock your phone to use any network? in which case no amount of any kind of flashing will do that. Ask voda for a code, or buy one online.
Sounds to me like you need to return all the way to stock and start over. Get any of the voda roms from that link above (theyre marked vodaphone, you cant miss em, theres a 1,43 one, a 1.66 one ((if you're a brit)) or 1.72 if you have a european language voda.
Get that, and either
1 - remove hspl by running hspl.exe and choosing 1.66.0000
then
2 - run the downloaded rom.exe and flash over usb
or
1 - extract ruu_signed.nbh from the rom.exe you downloaded,(look it up if you dont know how) copy it to a formatted fat32 sd card smaller than 8gb, and rename it leoimg.nbh then start the phone into bootloader and it will ask you if you want to flash.
that way you are back to teh start, and you can apply hspl and start again.
(For people reading this thinking 'he didnt say do a task29',, its my understanding that using the official .exe to flash the rom does a task 29 anyway, and its been edited out of customruu.exe so it can be used to flash radios without wiping the rom,,,correct? yes no?)
I try 6 Rom but noone will work fine
Vodafone rom 1.72
I am not looking to unlock the fone, simply find a Rom that is 6.5.3 that is stable. I have just flashed back to voda 1.72 but that is 6.5, im fussy and don't like the start button at the top. I'm in scotland so need something that will work here ok on vodafone.
I was hoping to find a rom that had not been altered and as such an original (Stock) ROM.
your help is much appreciated.
There are no such stock roms for the HD2. If you want to flash a stable rom in the style you like (start button at the bottom) then you will need to HSPL (search the forum) your phone and I suggest you start with Dutty's rom. It's very stable and as close to stock as can be. You can always flash back to an original rom for warranty reasons if you need to.
tnx, trying one now. fingers crossed.
ok, just flashed one of duttys roms but now my phone will not boot, it turns on and stays at the htc splash screen. Wont turn off have to pull out the battery. If it will not boot how can I re-flash it? Any suggestions?
did you flash hspl? you will also need the newer radio 2.15.50_04

I hope you did some reading before you flashed!!
Put your phone into bootloader by holding the vol down side key and use a pen to push the little reset button when the back cover is removed. You should get a tri colour screen which shows you the hspl version you have. If you do this you can flash the correct radio which is probably why the phone will not boot.
all I have done previously is downloaded .nbh files and used SSPL_RUU.exe to flash and they have all flashed sucessfully, but with the after effects of either connection problems or freezing issues.
I have managed to re-flash to the vodafone 1.72 software so at least it is working again, this is not by any means where my talents lie. im a hardware guy, not software, so finding this all a bit confusing. I may just go with the artemis v33 rom which seemed to work the best apart from occassion signal dropouts.
Just out of curiosity - which hspl and radio are you using?
in the settings it says radio 2.07.51.22-2 and i believe the hspl was 1.42

If you are sure it's SPL, than your problems are normal sir. To be able to flash custom ROM you need HSPL ex (1.66 HSPL)
is there another way to check other than in bootloader?

No sir only bootloader.
I have just re-flashed v33 artemis, so will stick with that, might look at updatin radio version tho. all help much appreciated but must away now as wokring in 5 hours.
Hi all, I've been running HSPL and Stock ROM 3.14.405.2 on my UK T-Mobile HD2. I needed HSPL as its a generic ROM.
I decided to try a cooked ROM (Artemis), which required the removal of HSPL. I extracted "RUU_signed.nbh" from the 3.14 ROM, renamed it to "leoimg.nbh" and stuck it on my SD Card, before resetting and pressing the down volume. It rebooted, asked if i wanted to continue with the installation, and then reset halfway through.
I'm now getting "Upgrade ROM code error. Please Try Again" and sometimes a grey screen with red numbers "00028002" at the top.
I've tried installing a standard 3.14 ROM again, and a 1.66 ROM, but both say they are unable to communicate to the phone.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated please - I'm gonna have to crack out my Nokia N70 back up soon!!
What haoppened is that when you ran the 3.14 update from sd card, because HSPl was installed it allowed it to start flashing even though its not for your phone. (As hspl should indeed do).
Problem is that step 1 of the update process is to replace the spl(hspl) and instal spl 3.03.0000. The phone then reboots into the new 3.03.0000 bootloader and flashing continues. Except it doesn't, because hspl is no longer there, so your phone rejects the 3.14 rom and you get rom update error and are left with spl 3.03.0000 and no way to apply a 3.14 rom.
Had you tried to flash that rom without hspl, it would have simply failed and done nothing.
The 1.66 rom didnt work because it is an unbranded rom, and you have a branded phone.
You need a t mo uk rom, and you dont need to use sd card, you can flash over usb from bootloader and it will downgrade spl from 3.03.0000 and hspl2 will again work.
Only way, the ONLY way, you can get a 3.14 rom onto your branded hd2 is goldcard. running it as you did with hspl causes instability and only 200 and odd meg ram, with only 50 meg free.
if you would read the install instructions on the first post of the Artemis ROM;
1) you didn't need this thread.
2) you saw the step by step guide on how to do it (available in 3 language!!)

Thanks for the response - I thought something along those lines had happened, so I've gotten TMobile 1.72 from the HTC site.
Ive extraced RUU_signed and renamed it to leoimg, and stuck it on the SD Card. My problem is now, when i boot with the volume held down, It just says "Upgrade ROM code error. Please Try Again" still. It doesnt seem to boot from the SD. Am i missing something or is it totally ballsed?
EDIT: After formatting a different card and trying again, it's working. Wiping now....
As for this goldcard stuff, i assume there's plenty of threads to do that?

Ahhhhhh, that'd explain why performance with 3.14 has been totally rubbish. I had no idea hspl had an overhead like that. Goldcard it is then......if i ever get it working
its not hspl with the overhead, its an incompatibility between the rom and the spl. If you put 3.14 rom on there and then remove hspl leaving say 1.66.0000, you still get the same issues.
As for goldcard, theres a goldcard request thread in rom dev section, post a cid there and ill make a batch of images up later this evening.

All valid points, but not very helpful seeing as this is a thread requesting.....help.
Hy i searched for about 2 hours for a fix on my problem.
If i make or receive a call and i want to change volume up or down or activate speaker the phone hangs or get very laggy for a few seconds and then freezes and all i can do is a reset from the reset button on the back of the phone.
Manila: 2.5.20191914.0
Rom: Artemis 48.1 WWE
Radio: 2.05.51.05_2
Protocol: 15.28.50.07U
I had a original german soft (didn't tested if it does like that in that soft too because i didn't know how to make a call in german...)), after that installed HSPL3 and Artemis.
Any fix? Is it the radio faulty?
Thanks!
Ok i flashed RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.43.405.1_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50_22_2_Ship.exe and now seems that all is ok.
Your problem was related to the fact you didn't follow the instruction.
I mean with this that stock ROM 3.14 isn't compatible with HSPL.
Remove HSPL before you install stock ROM 3.14 and you would have problems.
Sorry for this dumb question but what is best not to do?
i just flashed now RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe
and i have HSPL3 installed, now everything works fine, haven't installed nothing untill now and 60 mb ram free ( dont; know if its good or bad )
I want to install Artemis 48.1 is it posible or i will have more problems?!
Thank you very much for your answer!

best is to remove HSPL > use HSPL2_RUN.exe and remove your HSPL value select a spl value. and reinstall then Stock ROM 3.14 again.
Edit; if you will some more information; step by step guide take a look on this.
In case you have the traditional (free device):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8776196&postcount=26465
In case you have a branded device:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8945325&postcount=28077
Go back and repeat what you did in Post 2 and flash RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.43.405.1_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.0 7U_2.04.50_22_2_Ship.exe.
Boot up into BootLoader Mode (Press and hold Volume Down button then tap the Power button). In the multicoloured screen you will see a value for the SPL, which should be 1.42.000. If it has a value of .HSPL instead of .0000, then you need run HSPL2 and change it to a .0000 version.
You next need to to use the GoldCard method so you can then flash with the Artemis 48.1 ROM.
From your first post, I would guess that you just did a quick read through of the Artemis ROM first post. In the FLASHING NOTES part, it says not to run HSPL and use the Gold Card Experience. All 3.14 ROMs and Based ROMs (ie the Artemis 48.1) require a Radio 2.15.50.14.

Just a small correction; Goldcard isn't alway's necessary, only in case if it is a branded device who don't have received yet a 3.14 stock ROM or if the aria ROM isn't updated yet to 3.14

Hi Kurt,
I was specifically talking about crys18's problem.
You are correct that if they already have a 3.14 (based) ROM, then they need to use SSPL to use a custom ROM.
Ok i installed Artemis 48.1 over RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe without removing HSPL3 and everything works normal. Except the fact that rams is only 39 Mb free, i think i will repair it with a hammer
