[Q] home screen weather animation - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi, i want not only to disable the weather animation but to remove the sun/mun, location & temperatures H/L from home screen.
i know you can disable weather animation using an animated wallpaper instead of a weather wallpaper but i cant find the folder for animated wallpaper so i can use my wallpapers
if anyone know how to do this?, removing son/mun, location, animation & H/L temperatures i'll appropriate the help
PS: i searched all post and only found antoniomistretta post for transparent mods and themes but his way to remove the sun/mun didn't work on my phone

use cookies home tab. you can choose different clocks & one of them is just the clock with no weather. i'm too lazy to find the thread, so you'll have to search for it or wait for another person to give you a link.

CM7 wallpapers

Does anyone know which folder the CM7 wallpapers are in? I want to change my lockscreen wallpaper to one of those but I don't know where they are thanks a lot!

Long press on your homescreen and a menu will appear with a Wallpapers option. You may also add wallpapers from your gallery or from the app store.
or look in system/app/LiveWallpapers.apk/res/ or that general area and you may find what you are looking for

What happened to the weather animation after unlocking phone?

When I use to unlock the phone, it would show me a animation of the current weather, just wondering what happen to that feature in ICS? It's not a critical thing but I always thought the weather animation was cool.

you mean the live wallpaper in the background?
It's a Rosie animaton. You need one of the Rosie clocks. Drag it to the top left corner to 'edit' it select your location then it will ask if you want full screen animation. Turn it on or off from there. If you want sound open the weather app in your drawer then select menu and you can find it in one of those options.
This will not work if you're using a de-sensed Rom.

YAY lol I know its a simple thing but man it looks cool ;p Wish it had more animations though.
There's different animations but it depends on the weather. I like the rainy day animation with the windshield wipers..

It's Included in the rom touch and hold your screen until widgets appear
scroll through the widgets and you will see it...
if you don't see it try Reflashing The Boot.img

It's available only when you choose Sense Full in installation.
Removed the current weather clock widget, re-add the widget:
long press on the blank area (after you removed the widget), under widgets choose Clock (HTC), you should see five pages of clock style, the weather clock 4x1 in the 5th pages (see attached)
Edit: I notice the 4x1 clock widget is too high on the screen... will fix this next week hopefully.

thanks! i had the same problem

When making a theme widgets sometimes move each other.

When I try to add a zoomed widget in the same area as my weather widget, the weather widget was pushed off the screen and I can't get it back. Sure I can just try to make a new one but it's still running somewhere off the screen. Is there a way to list all widgets you have on screen? And delete them in that list? Or from a list default them to center of screen? I know the themer widgets can stack so why are they moving on their own? This is especially true if I try to edit a theme I download. As soon as I press configure or resize or add something the theme goes ape **** and everything just moves. Not using a custom dpi. Stock Rom galaxy note 3.

Hi vitessex,
We're not too sure how this happens, as testing it now reveals that a widget cannot push another one off the screen. However in your unlucky case, we suggest going into Themer's main settings - Advanced - Desktop - enable Allow overlapping Widgets. This should then just cause the widgets to overlap instead of jumping around.
Which downloaded themes are causing this? Most new themes should have the overlapping widget setting enabled to prevent this issue.

It seems to do it with all the themes I have downloaded. And even happened on the one I am making myself. But currently I will show an example with the theme "Coordinate." The overlapping Widgets option is enabled and this is what happens when I add a widget or edit in any way really.

I see. There might have been a bug during installation. Try this:
1. Uninstall Themer.
2. Delete the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/ folder (removing the Exported folder within it if you saved any themes).
3. Reinstall Themer.
Let me know how this goes.
