Wireless Chip - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

So.. the wireless chip in the mini is TQM679002A
and here is the specs:
http://www.triquint.com/prodserv/more_info/proddisp.aspx?prod_id=TQM679002A
Is this true? can it support wireless N and not just b/g as it dose at the moment in the mini?
Is this also the same wireless chip that is in the normal X10?
If so, why have SE limited it to b/g? Or is it just a limit of Android 1.6?
Thoughts, comments?

I'm more interested if there will be future support for WiFi Direct as the fact that this protocol doesn't need anything special, just a special software layout.

yes! N supported.
Can be activated in /etc/tiwlan.ini, but no real needed.
also placed hardware FM-transmitter, but no software.

What about on the normal X10?

Our minis and mini pro have a fm-transmitter. wow!!!!!!!!!!!! Can anyone please make asoftware for it. Or can anyone activate it. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..............
Many thanks on any suggestions.

WOW, support for 802.11n is very good news! You know, there is definitely reason for activate it .. 802.11n have better reach and is more stable than B a G. I just wonder why it is disabled. Anyone tried to activate it?

Ill see if i can do it on my mates mini.
Ims till trying to find out if the wireless chip is the same in the x10

Any one got an answer to this???

we got a FM thing that can make a FM signal??? for real??? we can use to link minis in any radio!!!!

Logitech MetroFi 170vi and Xperia X10 compatible?

Easy question:
can anyone confirm me, that the Logitech MetroFi 170vi (http://www.logitech.com/de-de/speakers-audio/earphones/devices/5651) Headset is compatible to the Xperia X10? Didn't find anything on the internet except for some online-shop compability lists, but I don't really trust them..
No, they are not compatible with the x10...i had bought them too from a webshop and its not working, only compatible with iphone and blackberry says the info on the box..
what a pity thanks, though.

[Q] Bluetooth & AVRCP

Heya!
Got Alpine's BT stereos on my car, that support AVRCP 1.4 (for file browsing), and apparently the X10i running 2.1 doesent.
So my question is, is this hardware or software related, and is there any fix available for it ? (in antoher words, will i throw the phone out of the window and go buy Nokia, or ? )
thanks
bump!
Anyone got any clue ?
Well, 1.4 is too high, Android I think only supports 1.2 or something around, not even 1.3 atm.

In another words say first where you usually drive, then I'll tell about AVRCP.
I used to read that SE supports basic only and nobody knows when they include last standards in this area. It is a shame since Ericsson invented Bluetooth.

[Q] ANT+

Does anyone know whether the Atrix will have the Ant+ ability? That would be awesome to work in my training regime

Looks like no. All the industry firsts were with Sony/Ericsson.
I actually read that the Droid X uses texas instruments WiLink 6.0 which supports ANT+ protocol.
Strange not to take advantage of it since it's already there! So I'm really asking whether anyone knows if Atrix is equipped with WiLink 6.0 or later.
Peace
Adam
Seems like a no here, according to ifixit site the atrix does not use the WiLink but instead uses a Broadcom solution for Bluetooth and Wifi. Based on what I can see, none of broadcom's solutions support ANT+.
However, there may still be light at the end of the tunnel. See this:
Ok, I'm not allowed to post links, google "spectec sda-323"

[Q] FM Radio receiver in X10???

Read somewhere that SE Thailand has started with 2.3.3 in X10. Couldn't get it confirmed but came across smthing interesting
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/pro...ax10?cc=th&lc=th#view=features_specifications
Of course the page is in Thai but translate it and you will see that it says Xperia X10 has Radio FM under entertainment specs.
Does it mean the phone has a built in FM receiver or is it an online radio app??
A similar thread exists (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683083) but none could answer the question.
no built in receiver, just over data via app
Sent from my X10 using XDA Premium App
Over data with app isn't remotely close to FM radio.
To answer your question, the FM Radio Receiver is referring to the MW600 headset, which was bundled with X10s in Europe and Asia I believe. The headset has a built in FM radio and can work alongside the X10, any number of android phones or even just by itself I believe.
X10 has no buil-in Radio FM receiver

Yes sir, I am aware of the MW600. I bought my phone in The Netherlands, so didn't get the headset with it. But Thailand SE site mentions Radio FM and they are not getting MW600 either. I guess the X10 hardware has no built in FM but ohh well, we keep dancing to the tunes of Xperia anyway
The Rachael's Big Mystery
[conspiration mode ON]
I have a theory:
X10 is built with ET technology.
This is the reason why nobody in this world knows the real X10 hardware.
Some people said that it can run very well under Froyo, even Gingerbread. The manufacturer engineers said no.
Some people say that it has multitouch. The manufacturer said it has only single touch due to hardware limitations.
We have a 16M colors capable screen, like the other mobiles. The manufacturer let us use only 65K. At first they said it was Donut fault, but even with Eclair+ we can see only 65K.
Some say that the frontal light sensor is truly a cheap frontal VGA cam (that would be hiddenly working with the built in facial recognition software!). "No no no!", says the manufacturer.
Now this strange FM radio rumor...
Who knows which other mysteries our Rachael hides from us?

Haha very funny

Tht is quite an insight my friend. We shall check properly and we could find "Not Made in China" inscribed on our X10 which proves ET technology. You wont be surprised I guess.

I Like conspiration mode!
We will hardly ever know everything that is inside x10, there is no complete hardware specs.
Someday we may find out that there is an infrared on it and we can use it to control the TV, rsrsrs.
We may find out that we can use to open garage doors. also kkk.
I recall a guy reporting that his X10 was ran over by a truck and still survived. Screen partly craked but touch was still good and everything worked
BTW, Please dont try this at home (or outside)
No FM radio in X10

[Q] Possibiliti x10 HDMI?

Have any possibiliti to make hdmi for x10, from arc sources and implement via micro usb like in nokia? In service menu also have hdmi?
I am Zulea, past developer of unlocking tools. You know USB Smart, but now I am out.
Sorry.
I also think the same micro usb to hdmi i asked this before i asked this but didnt get the ansnwer.
galaxy s can do this.
Caan our developers impliment this???
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
This would be awesome, we have some great devs here, if anyone can its them!
I think that can BE DEVELOPED!

And I think they also could implement USB OTG for x10..
we'll see what the devs gonna do!
Really great will be. Time will show.....
Someone sent this to all devs

you are talking like everything is possible with x10(like quadcore).not that i dont like to have HDMI,but its very very unlikly
(dont get me wrong brother)
Anyone know any dev to show him this?....
Every dev most likely already "thought" about this many times, but this is a dream, it could be possible to get somehow a video output using usb or even the phone connector, yes it would be possible, but that would be a very poor output, because they would have to remap somehow a software encoder inside the phone to redirect data using USB or phone connector and connected in the usb or phone would have to be an adapter that would again translate the information in some vga, A/V, RGB, or at max S-Video, nothing like HDMI could ever happen as there is no such hardware for this built inside x10.
Don't dream on this guys, this is not like something that you can build on drivers.
Here goes an example of things that may be developed in future for x10:
Mass storage like pen drive(connecting a pen drive in the phone directly)
Mouse, keyboard and other input stuf.
Further undervolt and overclocks.
Multitouch, real multitouch(no dual touch as it is now with axis issue)
This may be developed sooner, and only maybe...
HDMI is too far from possible, not impossible though, but yet they would have to find a hardware in the phone to use for that which i don't really know if there is such a thing in x10, but i doubt.
@ all dev...
Is it possible to use USB OTG...?? like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1224676
Or
Live Dock support for x10??
any hope..
This would be amazing but highly unlikely. I just don't think the X10 has the necessary hardware to push HD video out of the USB controller. The only thing I would add is there is a HDMI section in the Service Menu. I don't know if that would help us but it's a place to start.
@xpaa thanks for the interesting link.
My wife's Samsung Infuse 4G came with the hdmi adapter and my first thought was, "How the heck would you get HDMI speed out of a USB anyway?"
i also try so many ways to share my videos and photos on TV via Hdmi out .. even i found some suitable cables for X10 which was selling for that aims. try to search vivaz audio video cable , it is working like output from audio jack , in vivaz it shows videos but in x10 only audio no video , but it is possible via Wi fi share photos and videos on TV
About Live Dock to regret it doesnt support X10 ( only neo , arc , arc s , pro ) as i know
