hey i have rogers factory unlocked x10a. i am in india.. i want the latest firmware update. i have this R1FA014 BASEBAND VERSION 1.0.14. WHEN I TRY TO UPDATE THROUGH seus or companion it says ur phone is update.. repairing with companion also fails in btw.as i cant repare so there is no update service folder in program data. so someone please so that i can update to latest firmware and also whenever the android 2.1 comes..

if I want to update to 2.1 legitimately through Rogers, do I have to flash my phone back to the Original Firmware that came with Rogers, or will SEUS do it automatically.

in future, to flash phone to 2.1 by rogers you could try default.prop method, a then just use Repair in PC Companion

You'll have to wait or debrand to the Nordic FW.
I use that guide to install the nordic fw already, when i run SEUS, i still get the message saying i already have the newest fw
Can anyone help me downgrade my global 2.1 x10i phone to 1.6 rogers x10a so that I could update via SEUS? When I downgraded to 1.6 it says my model number is unknown (Not x10i or a) and it doesn't recognize my phone at all. Any help would be appreciated.
Just flash your mobile with Root_F3v3 from the link below for 1.6 firmware

You only need to do flashing of firmware, after which you need to use X10root.apk to root your mobile.
Then change the region codes by following steps in

Then again use SEUS to flash your mobile, it'll recognize the mobile in 1.6 firmware and update your firmware to 2.1 if available in your region.

i got notification that new 2.1 is availible (finnaly).. so i updated via pc companion, and after update i still got firmware 1.6... it looks like phone is just master reseted..

Hi - What is the country and brand of your handset?
Try downloading SEUS from the SE website and use that.. depending on your settings within PCC it may not have downloaded the new firmware database.

How can I upgrade to stock ICS from 2.3.7? Sony website told me that I ready have the latest rom, but the system information shows that I'm still in 2.3.7. Is there any reason why I can't upgrade?

Forget to mention, it's sola.
Make sure you have the latest PC Companion, you can also use Sony Update Service to update your phone. If it still doesn't show you an update then search the ftf file for your phone and flash it via flashtool.
