True, it is just a copy. But I have removed all image files for lower res screens and have started the process of changing most (if not all) of the other images.
Does it not install for you or does it FC? Either way, it could just be a problem with 2.2 as I have not flashed any 2.2 ROMs, let alone trying this on it.
I did notice that I would get FCs if I used Titanium to restore App Data Only from any previous backup of Pandora. Just had to sign in fresh after installing and it has worked since.

I've been busy tonight. Who needs sleep before a full day of class
shameless bump

Version 1.0 of both W & B released. Pulled do FC issue. B1.2 released.
Let me know if there are any inconsistencies in the graphics.
PM me if you have a LDPI or MDPI screen and would be willing to test the mod once I get those graphics replaced.

Great work.
Can I ask what font are you using and what widgets are you using for weather and time/date.
[MOD/APK] Minimal Pandora Ver W1.0 | B1.2 (Update x3 - Nov 2) WIP
This is for HDPI screens ONLY.
It will not work on any other screen resolutions because I have removed all unneeded graphic files.
I may eventually take the time to change all the graphics to work on other screens, but as Bionix/Fusion is for the Vibrant which is HDPI, that is what I am focusing on right now.
I am not responsible for what you do with this.
Pandora is amazing. Nothing bad can be said about the service, but I think the app/widget are fairly ugly for such a smooth program. This project of mine is to clean up the interface and possibly unlock the full potential of the app (whatever that means). My inspiration for many of the changes are Sombionix/Team Whiskey's ROM work as well as rori~'s Smoked Widgets
This is by all means a WIP still, but I am releasing it so I can get feedback on the direction I am taking it and to use you as guinea pigs to search out any hitches I may introduce. That said, I am no coder in anyone's imagination. So if an update changes any code it will be highly experimental and I will do my best to figure out any issues to the best of my ability.
To use this if you have not installed a previous version of this mod:
Remove the Pandora widget if it is on a homescreen
Uninstall the Pandora you currently have
Download the version you want
Place the .apk someplace on your SD card / Find it on your SD card
Use a file manager to install
DO NOT restore Data from Titanium Backup. It is causing FCs for some reason

•Naming convention
• •W#.# will be white widget text for dark backgrounds.
• •B#.# will be black widget text for light backgrounds.
Links removed because app FCs when switching to landscape. Trying to figure out why and will update as soon as I do. Seems I pulled out a couple graphics that were being called when switching to landscape. Working on the fix and replacing a couple more graphics.
Minimal Pandora Ver W1.0 - still working on it, broke something else and now won't install. gong to have to rebuild from scratch
Minimal Pandora Ver B1.2
Market Pandora 1.5.1
*switched to MediaFire to track downloads to get an idea of which is being used more
••••••
May not work on 2.2 ROMs. If you are using 2.2, please say what ROM/Kernel and if this .apk works (installs and no FC after signing in)

Landscape FCs have been fixed.

I'm using ScalaSans Light. The link can be found in my signature. You must have a Galaxy S phone with Flipfont to use it.
The time/date is the dClock mod by ilangoadigal found here.
The weather is Typographic Weather Widget Small found here. I'm still deciding between the regular and the small version, but both are beautiful.

Not working on my captivate running cog 9.1.3. Wont install when I place the apk in system/app. Not sure why since his roms should enable non market apps and apk's.

If you are rooted, can you try moving the .apk into /system/app then reboot (using ADB or Root Explorer (or other file app with root access)). See if it shows up then.

Thanks a lot. I paid attention to the fony in your signature, though late.

Thanks for this creator!

Forgive my NOOB-NISH but this is a music app correct and not a theme?

Its working. I always forget some apps need to be used after a reboot. It has been awhile since I had one so I forgot. Looks good and I like the controls!

It's the little things that slip passed us that can make us feel really dumb. Those thumb icons were quite obnoxious.

If only I could use Pandora here is SA because Orbot seems to have died lol... Nice mod though.

Warez???? XDA Tapatalk was downloaded from the Market for free!
The term "warez" means using a paid app for free, in case you didn't know! No warez here.
But, I'll make a new ROM now to be safe if the developer doesn't want people using his app here on XDA. Doesn't make sense to me, but I'll do it.

Just an automated response lol. If its not warez then it should be okay. I've been out of android for quite some time. So Pardon if my app talk is archaic lol.
Does make sense as so the App creator can track how many users are using his app
Yeah but that's not a solid reason to really exclude it from anything. I say leave it how it is lol. For ROMs I can understand, but something like an app where DL's can be duplicated in one day and such, not much big of a deal.
Actually wouldn't it be if the author stated he doesn't want it in any Rom's? Shouldn't that be enough even though its free?

It might be that for some reason, the Wildmonk kernel is not liking your Nexus One. Guess it can happen. Try downloading my regular cyan theme that will put Enom's Kernel back on your ROM and see what happens.

(1) If you are on T-MOUS and are having problems with MMS see this for fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8981441&postcount=250
(2) If you get an error downloading any apps such as "Angry birds" try un-mounting your SD card then install the app and then mount back after it is installed.
(3) To switch to 2G or any other use the included "network" app.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installation
- Extract build to your desktop
- Place "Android" folder on the root of your SD card
- Unzip a data.img below in your "Android" folder (optional for faster first boot)
- With keypad lights on, run "CLRCAD.exe" then "haret.exe"
- First boot will take up to 10-20 minutes unless you used a data.img below
First boot setup
- I recommend waiting 5 minutes before unlocking the screen the first time on first boot. Everything seems to go a lot smoother that way.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 2 versions now. V0.4 Has the blue battery and has the clock mod to remove it from the status bar (see below for picture) and V0.4A has the clock in the status bar and also has the circle battery meter (see below for picture).
I recommend starting with a fresh data.img but you should be able to use the same data.img from V0.3 without any problems

hi motoman,
will the cmd line "wifi.mac" work with mdeejay's kernel? I am asking because I would like to try this build but it has mdeejay's kernel and 4-6mA stand by is promising. I am always using hastarin's becuase the wifi mac change works for me.
thanks.

That's a good question, I don't have anyway of testing it right this second but I have seen M-deejay put that in his startup.txt before so it's worth a shot. If it works for you let me know and I will add it

i will. did you add the TMOUS fix on this? Am still ownloading. I'll report when I boot this bad boy.
Hey Moto,
Wow another build huh.. nice choice! Just cleanin up M-deejay's leftovers i see
I'll have to try her out in a bit, what areas have you skinned already btw?
(check your dropbox when you get a chance)
Looks good. Thanks for your effort and sharing.
just to update, wifi.mac works. At least I can use the real mac address. Tint fix works for me.
@Moto, no heat intended, do you have, by any chance a comparison between MCCM's update of this same build of mdeejay?
thanks,
jm

Glad it worked for you. As far as the changes go, I'm not sure all what he did besides kernel fixes but I changed some graphics and tweaked a few things to the build itself (to my preference, not saying it's better by any means). If you booted both you should be able to tell overall. Everyone has there own idea of modding and customizing builds, you know? I wouldn't of released it if it was the exact same thing. I think he likes to keep everything the way it looks, which is good too. Just giving people options

Yep! This was one of my all time favorites too so I thought I'd share! I just hope people don't think that I am trying to start some contest with mccmjoon76 or something lol. You shouldn't even be able tell they are from the same Inc build soon. All the credit goes to M-deejay since he was the original creator of the Inc build for the HD2 as far as I know. I respect both of their work.
By the way, I checked our dropbox and you did some really awesome work with those digits. I updated our conversation text.
Hi, how did you get your battery indicator?
motoman234 said:
This is a build based on M-deejay's froyo INC build with some graphic and system tweak changes done. You may be asking what the difference between this and the other froyo INC builds out there. I try to customize my builds to make them look different from others. I was making this build for me to use but I figured it would be selfish if I didn't share
Droid_Incredible_Remix V1.0 features
-Based on the Android 2.2.1 update
-Full 5mp camera with zoom
-PPP only
-Multilanguage
-Very loud sound
-DSP manager
-ril_wrapper from letama for better data connection
-Using M-deejays S6 kernel (Very stable for me)
-4-8mA in standby
-Updated graphics
-Added spare parts
-Removed all Verizon apps
-Removed most bloatware
-Others I am forgetting, will post them as I remember.
-A lot more features and changes to theme to come!
What's working?
-Everything that is working in other builds
What's not working?
-My only complaint is the camera still has the green tint.
FIXES & OTHER THINGS
A work around for the green tint in pictures is to go to camera settings and under "white balance" choose "Incandescent". I am aware of the build.prop fix but it brings on a lot more problems with the fix. I will try to have it fixed in the next version.
First boot setup
-I recommend waiting 5 minutes before unlocking the screen the first time on first boot. Everything seems to go a lot smoother that way.

I've been having the same problem with a few of your Sense builds..
While going in to edit the APN settings, I randomly receive a force-close for com.android.phone........ I followed your instructions on first boot and am now trying my second reboot. Is there any solution for my dilemma?
EDIT: No luck even after running TerminalEmu "su", then "fix_permissions"..

Camera worked like a charm! Data seems fine for me though. Loaded up tasvideos.org VERY quickly, although I can't vouch for the disconnects/reliability (yet). And I apologize for posting; I didn't even notice you posted that in your fixes

Hey Moto,
Nice work, but can I use my data.img file from Mdeejay Froyo Sense Rev. 1.7 in order not to lose my current data and settings?
Thanks.

You should only receive one force close when data connects for the first time.

[MOD|ADDON]{beta3}WolfXperia v7b6 ModChamp Black Edition (26DEC)

THIS IS ABOUT BETA 3
For beta 2 (old OP) see post #72
I HAVE CREATED THIS TO WORK ON WOLFXPERIA V7B6 ULBLDOOM
I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS ON ANY OTHER VERSION OF WOLF'S ROM.
I CANNOT GUARANTEE IF IT WILL WORK ON OTHER ROMS.
(if anyone risks trying this on any other stock based rom, pls give feedback)
(this can work on gaming version too. though i have not checked personally)
So here we go, presenting you with WolfXperia7_ModChamp_BlackEdition (beta3)
As we all know Wolf cooks the best stock based roms around, but as he himself told me he "stays so busy with ROM development, he doesn't get time to make addons/mods for his own roms". So I trying to help all users of wolfxperia by bringing together all goodies an features along with a handful of tweaks into a single mod.
Various people have ported things from other devices to work on the X10, and I've used many of their works. In case i lost track and missed out a few credits here and there, pardon me, and PM me, i'll add all your credits.
My own personal efforts are limited to modding the theme, tweaking the init scripts, and porting the panorama and play launcher app from other xperia ROMs and a few other apps. Other apps are either ported by others or are taken from the market. (I have used only free versions).
---FEATURES---
+provision to install failsafe settings through bootmanager customscript in case of instability
+ makes wolfxperia fully featured. contains all apps that a smartphone should have for optimal functionality
+latest trackid with ics looks (sweden version), latest market 3.4.4 (superfast), latest facebook
+ custom led notifications (like cm/miui) and custom headset button commands (like ipod shuffle)
+apple siri like app (speaktoit) included.
+ all black onyx wallpaper based backgrounds, two themes to chose from (see downloads section), fly and fold animations (smooth and swift)
+ retweaked taskkiller, vm and cpu settings. *might* give better battery life and better performance.
+ preoverclocked at init.d level. preconfigured sleep settings. you could do away with cpu adjustment apps like setxperia or setcpu control
+timescape is themeable using the semc theme manager.
+sweep panorama camera and xperia flashlight, xperia active app(fitness) along with lots of xperia arc apps included (as many as i could make work on this)
+provision for fbix sync bug and missing sms bug
---REQUIREMENTS---
1. a working wolf's v7b6 ulbldoom ROM (preferrably fresh install, but will work otherwise too)
2. doomlord's v6 kernel wiht bootmanager
3. the zip files you'll download from links below
---FILE DETAILS---
Please note that i have split my mod into 4 files because people were complaining about the size
the MAIN.zip is the main mod. contains all tweaks, and features mentioned above. it does not depend on AUXILIARY to run. it gives all features of my mod without installing the other zips
the AUXILLIARY.zip contains third party apps, timescape/music extensions, widgets etc which gives extra features to your phone. it can be installed standalone, but i recommend installing MAIN before installing AUXILIARY
The SEMCAPPS.zip contains *all* Xperia apps from various phones (pro, arc, active) which i could make work on x10. it DOES NOT contain those arc apps that are already present in wolf's ulblDoom ROM. it also contains default semc wallpapers, themes etc.
The THEME(Carbon Black) is the theme i created to use with this MOD originally. the toggles are grey, all icons on stats bar are grayscale, the wallpaper will automatically become black, timescape will be themes black, all menu backgrounds will turn black (backgrounds are based on stock sony black wallpaper). the dropdowns are semi transparent. it also has circullar grey battery
The THEME(cheap colour miui) gives a miui style status bar and all grey icons in system, settings etc are coloured. battery is bar with % (not circle)
****In both the above themes, the connectivity icons will glow BLUE when phone is connected to Google services. EDT tweaks are compatible with both.
#### AUXILIARY, SEMCAPPS AND THEME are optional. they ARE NOT required for MAIN to work.
####If you dont want to change visual appearance. DO NOT install the THEME.
####Don't worry about size of zips. there is lot of freee space in ROM area of x10. It will not eat up your data space or your sdcard space.
$$$$ The zips can be used regardless of whther the you have installed the others or not. you can install them in any order, and can install them in any combination you like
---INSTALLATION---
1. put the zips in sdcard
2. boot into xrecovery and flash the zips
##### i recommend the following order (1. main, 2(or3).auxiliary, 3(or2).semcapps, 4.theme (any one of the two provided)
3. if you are not on full-oc kernel, then flash your respective wifi modules (gregbradley's signature or doomlord's thread)
4. boot your phone. it might take an eternity. please be patient.
(if after the bootanimation, the screen goes black, wait for another minute, pull out battery, and then restart phone again. this should not happen but i encountered this once so telling it. may happen only on first boot, never thereafter)
5. If phone frequently freezes, or gives WLOD while using, or doesn't boot, then please go into bootmanager (preess menu key when blue LED glows at kernel) and "run custom script". this install failsafe init.d scripts
--SETTING UP APPS--
(i have included some precustomized settings for a few apps. you can use them or customize according to your likings.)
1. go to accessibilty settings, enable "light flow led". then open the light flow app, restore the backed up settings you'll find already present in your sdcard. customize further if you want.
2. open "jay's headset control" app and restore the backed up setting already present in your sdcard
3. If you use the "simple calendar widget", you'll find backed up settings for that too. restore that setting, and inside Appearance settings change "day text width" to 130.
4. open gosms app, go through the initial welcome screens, go to settings>advancedsettings>important tips and check "stock sms uninstalled"
next go to advancedsettings>receive settings> check "disable other notifications"
--REMOVED APPS--
>stock sms app (replaced with gosms) - thus no more missing sms problem
>efs explorer - use the root explorer in rom toolbox instead (included)
>stock browser - use opera mini instead (included) ... will save you lots of data usage.
>sound recorder - use rec forge lite instead (included)
--CREDITS--

There will be a lot of apps i instantly delete from this update because I already have paid versions or already have my own preference, e.g, skyfire instead of opera mini/stock browser...Good work though.
Also, has there been any systemUI.apk or framework-res.apk modifications? I only ask so that any kitchen work that has been done will still be able to apply to this..

yes delete unneeded apps before flashing ( that's common sense. lol)
this is actually meant primarily for ppl flashing fresh wolf rom. gives them loads of features to start with.
yes the framework and systemui are modded and so is semcgenericuxp. all background on all apps are based on black onyx wallpaper. (even changed trackid background, and play launcher background)
___edit______
you've not deleted any apps from my zip before making the mirror i hope?

Am i right in thinking if you only changed the background in the framework and systemui that wont have any problems with themes based on wolfs original framework and systemui? I use the transparent theme and wouldnt want to lose those effects

delete the "semcgenericuxpres.apk" file from /system/framework/ in my zip and replace it with the one you are using right now, before flashing it. and make a backup in xrevovery anywys before flashing. remember this is a beta and i have tested this for only 1 hr.
____edit______
u can install any theme meant to work on wolfs rom over this mod as well. so even if you don't delete semcgenericuxpres before flashing, u can instal the transparent theme later on over my mod.

1. took ages to flash, maybe you could remove some system apps that wont be needed in the mod because they are already in the rom, 85 mb seems like it should be a rom on its own.
2. taking ages to boot up, it hit 2 reboots. Total first boot time was about 5 mins.
3. Not a fan of the themeing, but thats just personal taste.
4. got a wlod in go sms on setup.
5. Application lightflow FC
6. Calendar widget works fine
7. Math calculator is good,
8. Speaktoit seems good,
9. Lots of good work, I will keep testing and see how the cpu settings/vdd levels do

there are no apps here which are also on original rom. have included only those apps which are new or modded.

try it out preferably on a fresh install. infact i would suggest flashing your rom followed directly by flashing this mod. not even booting your rom first time before flashing this mod. that way there are less chances of errors

Including setxperia is a god way to keep tock voltages and allow new users to change the voltages without having to change a sytem file...

Google Now Trobleshooting (v1.3.4+)
Google Now will close if hotword detection is turned on. To turn it off go to settings > voice > untick 'Hotword Detection'
Voice search and typing does not work - common issue with new ICS roms for the yp-g70
Google Now for ICS thread
If you cannot get Google Now to work, I recommend reflashing the rom, but selecting the default ICS search in aroma installer. This will completely remove Google Now

Choose your theme and press next twice
Accept the T&C's and then press next twice
Select Install RemICS-UX
Select Custom
Pick your kernel and whether you want the add on apps and then press next. For Korean device use the INTL kernel

OTA Updates Installation:
Open the OTA Updater app
Download the latest version
The installation will fail due to signature verification failing
Turn off signature verification
Install the zip from sd card. Remember to select Custom from the installation menu. The zip file is located at /(internal)sdcard/OTA-Updater
Tablet Mode Installation:
Tablet Mode is accessible by default in v1.3.2+ by changing the DPI to something between 120 and 128 inclusive. If you are running v1.3.1 or below, full instructions here in the first post
Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0
Warning! Flashing this may/will delete your /efs, which will causes major issues if you ever decide to return back to stock, so make sure you make a backup! If you don't know how, frankly you shouldn't flash this, as you need at least some experience just in case something goes wrong.
If you get stuck in recovery, flash a GB kernel, it will boot into recovery, simply hit "reboot". When it bootloops, boot into download and flash the CM9 kernel.
New kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1298676&d=1346633739

Thanks for that! I'll add that to my to-do list for this rom
I would like to see this rom (or a port) coming to 4.0 when ICS will be released for it. It looks nice.
This rom is very fast and good. I am having one problem the browser keeps force closing and I even wiped dalvik cache. Also could you try to port the Samsung ics browser. Thank you

You can try different browsers from the Market, like Firefox,Dolphin,Opera,Skyfire,... I never use the stock browser really, I like Opera and Dolphin!
This rom is fast and I like it.
However there is one issue. Gmail is crashing ALL the time. Along with that when you go to a different song in a music player while you have any sort of music effect enabled it puts the volums at full blast. Pretty much some minor issues here and there. Ill probably wait it out until some of the issues are tweaked before devoting any full time to this ROM.

Both the browser FC and Gmail FC are due to the same error which I'm trying to fix now. I can't seem to replicate the error where the music volume changes when changing song. Which music app are you using? I tested it using Google Play Music and everything worked fine.
Is S Voice working? I'm at work right now so I can't really download or test anything? But S Voice isn't working for me when I installed it using Wanam's hacked S Voice or the signed apk! So just curious.

Yes S Voice is working. I just tested it now with my device id set to YP-G70. However, you may have to turn off location data from the settings menu as it sometimes stops working when location data is on.

I think this is an error with the touchwiz framework. Thanks for noticing this!
Here are the bugs I found only for DEVELOPMENT. I am not complaining or saying bad stuffs about this ROM so don't get me wrong here!
1.GMail keeps on force closing so is Facebook for Android app.
2. Almost no browser work. Dolphin,SkyFire,Opera,Stock Browser fc's. Only Firefox is working good.
3.Can't install Accu Weather Widget Main and Samsung Apps.
4.Live Wallpapers gives error when first boot up,working after ~20s.
Maybe it is just my device, but that's what I see. I will keep finding the bugs and report them.

It actually happened to me with Google play music when I enable bass boost and put on extreme, for some reason, when it goes to the next song, the volume gets put at the Max level.

Hey this probably is out-of-topic but how do you change the bootanimation.zip size, I am having a MOD Galaxy SIII bootanimation but it is for 320*480 screen, how to make it compatible with 480*800?

Thanks for this. The internet related apps keep force closing due to them using the webkit engine. The CM9 source changed after the 26th of May and the new method seems to be incompatible with the YP-G70 straight out the box so I've been trying to fix it.
The Accu Weather and Samsung Apps error is due to a fault with the touchwiz framework which I am in the process of rebuilding from scratch (this takes a long time btw).
I haven't noticed the live wallpaper thing but I'll check it out.
Oh and thanks again for the bug reports!

Hmm. I seem to recall having this problem with a different app with bass boost on. Try turning it off and see if the bug goes away. It might be an issue with the equaliser settings.

I think you would have to edit each frame to the correct sizes but there might be an easier way.
I'm getting FC's whenever I try to change the Lock screen Wallpaper, Home and lock screen wallpaper, and Advanced Setting.
Digital Clock has problems loading in landscape mode.
Aftermarket web browsers will load up but pages wont. Opera web broweser Mini that was included with this ROM FC's too.
Also a weird bug whenever after the device is placed in landscape mode applications will organize themselves on a new page despite having space to fill up on previous page.
After I saw this ROM on the Galaxy S i9000 thread I was planning to sell my GP5.0 for a i9000 but after I found out RemICS was ported to the GP5.0 I changed my mind. :]

When you change the wallpaper for just the homescreen it also changes the lock screen wallpaper. The other options FC and I'm trying to find out why. Advanced settings is specific for the Galaxy S. I'll try and get a similar app for the Player.
I thought Opera mini worked? Firefox browser works so I'll include that in the next version.
I think the applications reorganise as the grid size is different for portrait and landscape mode.
Thanks for deciding to stick with the GP 5.0! I think once more devs start producing roms we'll see some pretty good stuff!
Thanks a lot for all of the bug reports. I'm slowly but surely trying to work through them to make the rom fully functional, so once again thank you!
EDIT:
To fix the volume changing issues, delete DSPEqualiser.apk in /system/app and try using PowerAmp instead as the equaliser settings are working.

The option to have two separate wallpapers and the Advanced Setting option isn't a deal breaker. I'm sure most of us users can live without those options.
Yeah its good to see the GP5.0 slowly starting to gain some momentum. I think your team is the first to develop a ROM with ICS and TouchWiz (which I really love). Great job on the ROM and love the boot animation too!

Yeah thanks. I turned it off and the bug goes away. Anyway thanks for developing the ROM. On e the bugs are worked out and such I can see this becoming probably the best ICS from. Considering that I have tested so many. Also there is a bug of when you go into the app manager it reboots, is there a fix?

Reboot your device and spam the power button. This will disable the xposed framework and all the modules. You can then go and change the settings in the module or disable it and reboot.
Hi,
Great idea!
Few things though:
It would be very nice that the things you mention in OP would be realized. I tried this on a GT-I9505 (galaxy mega 6.3) and such phone needs it for the keyboaard only IMHO. Other apps are no problem to have them fullscreen. So maybe:
- on per app basis (where keyboard is an app too)
- masterswitch in notification area or as widget (or any place that can be reached easily to switch keyboard to one side)
Kind regards,
Treare

this module is quite handy and great compared to samsung's own one hand operation.
its a great work.
hope to see many neww things in future :good::good::laugh::laugh:
This is cool.
Did you consider to have function like T2 Ultra's single-handed mode?
(double tap home button to drop everything to the bottom.

Ok, had to update to newest framework but the mod isn't working correctly
Nothing appears, just the title bar as seen on screenshot.
I'm currently running CM-based ROM (kitkat) on my N7100.
Not working on Sprint Note 3 running Sprint S5 ROM
