[Q] Stuck at Tmobile stick together screen? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i flashed the Speed N Boost ROM, installed the nbh. file, and when i reset my hd2, it just stay at the stick together screen. I can go into the boot loader screen, but that doesnt help. What did i do wrong, and please tell me how i can fix this!

did you flash the right radio as well?

Sadly, i dont think i did. Any way i still can?

yeah, if that is the problem then its just a case of flashing the right radio and she will boot up fine after that....
if you have a tmous leo then do not flash a radio with .51. in the name
im not familiar with that rom so I dont know which radio it needs....

Wait, so how can i flash the radio, if all i can do is go into bootloader?

wait man do u hav the hspl

yes, i have the hspl

ok now flash a 2.xx.50 radio (the xx stands for whatever number is between there) then go backto the bootloader screen and flash another rom and you should be fine

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AT24L7P6
that one good?

Come on guys, i really need your help! I need my phone first thing in the morning to wake me up. I would really appreciate it if anyone can give me the appropriate radio so i can just finally start this phone up all ready.

you need to check the thread for your rom to see which radio you need, then read the guide on how to flash a radio. its in the rom development stickie......

worst case, run task29, drop a stock rom on it. done! flash hspl tomorow and go for it again.

***EDIT***
Dang, I just read your post about your light not even turning on. Did you try soft resetting it? I know that sounds dumb, but had to ask. Did you try taking the battery out for a bit? Try holding the Power button and the Camera button down on the right side of the phone and push your stylus into the soft reset hole. That's the way to put it into bootloader mode. If you've got the phone plugged in even (try it without the battery too) and you still don't get anything, then I'd say try to get it replaced if you can. That's never a good feeling. I've had a couple of HTC devices now, and have been there a couple of times where you think your phone is dead, but it ends up not being that way. I hope this situation goes the same way for you.
*********************************
3.27 requires 2.40 and is also outdated.
You could try the Titan Relocker to put an older bootloader version on it, and then flash an official rom that supports GPS, which will update you to the Carrier's ROM and Radio. At that point, you can try to unlock and flash to 2.40.
Once you have 2.40 installed, you can then put on a 3.xx radio (3.39.10 is recommended right now) and flash to a custom ROM, such as DCD's newly released 3.1.6 ROM. I think it runs really well, and I flash mine to different roms way more than I'd like to admit. I think I'm going to stay with this one for a while.
Once you get the 2.40 bootloader, I'd start using the SD Card flashing method for your ROMs exclusively. It works really well, and the good thing is that you can have other stuff on the card, so you can use a small card by itself only for flashing, with folders for different ROMs and Radios, or you could use one big one, and then just change the required file every time you wanted to flash.
I haven't included links to everything because that would take a while, but you should be able to find everything I've mentioned by using the search function, or if you can't seem to find what you're looking for here, you can try ppcgeeks.com too, it's another great resource for our phones.
Good luck!

P.S. Don't worry too much about your phone, these titans are actually quite hard to brick. As long as you can get to the bootloader, you should have a good chance to get everything working properly again.

You are fine. Though as your Titan is already unlocked and had an older third-party ROM installed, it ain't so "new" . Your problem is covered in the Wiki:
II. Install the correct bootloader
Hit Power-Camera-Reset to check what version of bootloader you have installed.
At the tri-colour bootscreen you will see the version number installed.
if it is 1.04 or 1.06 then you must unlock your phone and upgrade to 2.40. Olipro 1.20 is not necessary at all when using newer ROMs/Radios.
if it is 1.20 then you have the pre-GPS ROM bootloader and must first flash to one of the older ROMs and associated radio to boot into WM, get an ActiveSync connection and then upgrade to 2.40.
if it is 2.40 then you have the correct bootloader and are ready to move on to the Radio Upgrade in Section III.

Oops, I just read that too... Remove the battery or try another battery yet? Other than that...
how did things finally turn out jmann?

Uh Oh. Did I just trash my Titan?

I've been a long time lurker here and I just recently acquired an XV6800 (currently suffering with an i760). I have read the Titan Wiki (as well as countless other pages, and yes, I did search before asking) and I think I may have just made a mistake.
I had a stock 1.04 bootloader on it and following the directions I found here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=TitanRecentHome
I upgraded to the nueSPL 2.47 package. I used the SD card to do the upgrade. From what I can tell, the bootloader installed just fine. The program ran successfully and when I check my bootloader (camera-power-reset) it shows that 2.47 is installed.
What I neglected to do was read the "IMPORTANT" section first. (I know, I know...) My phone has a version 2.xx (stock) ROM on it, not 3.xx.
Did I just brick my phone, or is there something I should do to try and reverse changing the bootloader? Or, am I fine, and I don't really need to worry about this?
Thanks for all your help in advance,
Dustin
lol no your Phone is OK.. and this goes to ANYONE .. if your Phone boots
(to the bootloader 4 color screen) your Phone is ok .. just need to load
up the correct Radio or OS ROM / custom OS ROM..
ok DustinEarnhardt
to fix your issue .. I take it .. you just unlock your phone and loaded a GPS Radio?
if so all you need is to load a new OS ROM, put your Phone back in bootloader made ..
connect it to the computer .. when you see "USB" on the screen you are ready to load a new OS ROM ..
simple download any custom OS ROM you like then run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe
thats all you need to do.. unless you did not load the correct Radio .. then
you'll need to load up a new radio as well..
BTW the only time a Phone is "trash" is when you can't get in to SPL bootloader mode
BTW you can load a new Radio via Flash or USB ..
I made a little RUU for USB Radio flash .. but its very easy
via an mSD card .. just put the radio file with the name "TITAIMG.NBH"
on your mSD card and plug it in .. you can do the same
for OS ROMs as well..
Thank you for the quick response! This place is great!
To clarify, basically right now, I have a stock ROM and radio, with a 2.47 bootloader. I can get the 4 color bootloader screen no problem, and the phone boots normally to the stock OS ROM and operates.
My next step (again following the guide here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=TitanRecentHome ) is to upgrade the radio ROM to Titan Radio ROM 3.42.02. I'm basing this on the decision to use the dcd 3.2.6 kitchen. It was recommended here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=dcdtitanroms to use that Radio ROM. (Oh and I'm using dcd 3.2.6 because from everything I've read, its the most stable at the current writing.)
Hopefully there are no huge problems with what I'm about to do, but if there is, maybe someone can stop me before I try to do this later tonight.
yp thats about it..
Load up a new Radio .. I like "3.42.50" then load up any OS ROM you like..

well I have a easier way to load up Radio ROM via USB .. that Howto steps is a bit hard to go by...
but it should work..

Help PLease

Okay Now I KNow Im New So Plz Dont Flame. I Tried Searching But Couldnt Find A How To. Once I Flash the new rom the phone will automatically reset but i get stuck at the new splash screen.i was told i should probably install a new radio rom. which i have. but i dont know how to flash just the gps. anybody help please.
You must install by sd method
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=33857
Okay, lets start from the top. Did you flash it with a new SPL first? What ROM did you use? And what radio did you use? If you don't have the correct radio, a reboot loop will occur, which means you just need to flash it with a GPS enabled radio like the newer 3.42.50. That will overwrite your current radio and bring you back to speed.
are you saying the only way to flash the radio is to use the sd card?

Probably a bad flash. Flash the ROM again. If your phone is unlocked with spc code all zeros and you have olipro 2.40 bootloader and GPS radio 3.35 and up you should have no problems with Custom Titan ROMs. After you re-flash hard reset and pull the battery for a couple minutes.

[Q] In what order do I flash?

I really don't wanna mess up my phone so I was wondering in what order am I supposed to flash the Radio and Rom after HSPL3? I have a T-mo HD2 with 2.08.hspl. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
it doesn't matter , once you HSPL then u could flash which ever steps u want to do first, rom or radio
This is the wrong section. Ask questtions IN uestion and answer.
It doesnnt really mater what order u flash. Read thw forums. My suggestion is to use task29 toflash the radio then flash the rom
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
It doesn't matter which u do first. I always do radio, task29, Rom, then hard reset (when I do a radio flash @ same time as Rom). I always flash from bootloader rather then winmo. Of course if you don't feel comfortable with this then don't do it.. I was nervous the first time (lol) too.. just take ur time it time read and understand the stickies
(darn I'm slow every1 writing replies @ once)
Sent from my Mytouch HD2
Thanks guys I appreciate all the help. I ended up finding this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477 and flashed from the SD card rather than the RUU (Was having error codes.) It's seems to be updating fine now.
Ok everything went fine I'm using Chuckydroid and I am at radio 2.12.50.02_2 but now Android isn't booting up :/. It's stuck at the black and white text screen after Haret is ran.
I have flashed a froyo rom to my HD2, i had to look several forums and youtube movies to exactly find out how its done. First update de hspl 2.08.hspl is right, i read you have got the right one. Than use MGLDR 111 or higher, install this. Make sure youre device is boot up with volume down, in bootloader menu choose usb flasher. Use the DAF file thats with the NAND en upgrade the phone. If you get a usb false than you havent got the right radio.

Need help downgrading to 1.42 SPL from 2.10 SPL

Phone's bootloader info:
PB81120 SS-B3
SPL-2.10.0000 8G XE
Also, I think I have the 1024 Leo, bought from T-Mobile with the Green/Red call/hangup buttons.
Can anyone help me with the downgrade?
From the official HSPL thread I read
"It is possible to downgrade to this SPL, by just flashing to an Official ROM
with this SPL version."
Can someone help a noob with this process? I've never flashed b4!
Also, my phone currently won't load and is stuck on the "stick together screen"
cakinlife,
Start here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653614
Out of curiosity, why do you want to downgrade to 1.42 SPL?
After reading some guides, I think I need to downgrade to 1.42 in order to install HSPL don't I?
After that, I want to install android.
EDITTTTT
Hold up, I just continued reading some other stuff and found out I don't need to downgrade.
Problem is my phone gets stuck on the "Stick Together" screen. How do I install HSPL if I can't get phone to load?
Any tips? Thanks

That's correct. With the most recent HSPL4, you can go direct to 2.08.HSPL or 3.03 (2.08 if you wanna go Android)

Has this phone ever booted up? Have you flashed something previously which caused this condition? Radio?
In any case, I'm assuming you can get into bootloader, so you can just try running HSPL4 on your computer with your HD2 in bootloader mode-- that should allow you to install HSPL, and you can see if this rectifies the loading problem and then go from there. Alternatively, you can try starting totally from scratch by installing an appropriate factory/shipped ROM (with proper radio) from the microSD card (see the flashing thread for instructions). If this brings your phone back to a working baseline, then:
1)Flash HSPL
2)Flash your desired custom WinMo ROM and
3)install Android ROM on SD
**OR**2)Flash your desired NAND Android ROM (first taking care of incidentals like MAGLDR, etc-- as per Android flashing instructions)
Here's another instruction thread with numerous videos: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=621930
HTH/ Good luck
Thanks RDionysus, I really appreciate all the info.
I'm going to try and go straight to HSPL4 from the bootloader.
I've actually never tried to flash anything, it just all of a sudden stopped booting on me which brought me to wanting to mod it
Going to try your suggestions, tytyty!
Hope it works out. Let us know!
So far I've installed HSPL and flashed the "NRG Engergize rom"
I'm still getting stuck on the bootup, now its stuck on the "NRG Energize" logo instead of the "Stick Together" logo.
I feel like I need to go back to stock to get that working baseline. How do I go about this step?
Should I go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577717
and download all the files under "Leo 1.48 ROMs" ?

NONONONO!!!
If you have a tmous the ONLY stock roms you can flash are tmous roms from T-Mobile.com or the tmous section here on xda.
Astock rom that is not tmous will destroy your phone.
This includes every rom in that thread.

its actually an executable zip, not really a .exe.
If you rename the extension to .zip, it will open in whatever zip program you have installed, and you will see about 9 files inside, one of which is RUU_Signed.nbh, around 220meg size, its way the biggest file in there, you cant miss it,. , thats the rom(and radio and splash and spl), extract that and rename it, copy it to sd, and enter bootloader. The other files are the program that performs the flash over USB.
Thanks a mil, Im gonna try when i return from classes
So I reflashed the T-mobile rom with success however I still get stuck at the stick together screen even with a fresh install.
Anyone have any tips?
After reviewing the thread, I would consider a strong possibility that there is something wrong with the hardware. But before throwing in the towel, here's what I would try first:
REMOVE the SIM card and any SD card you have in the phone. Perform a hard reset. If you still get hung at the "stick together" screens then try...
RE-FLASH the stock (baseline) rom you obtained earlier, but this time first hook the phone up to your computer and perform a Task 29, then flash, and finally hard reset. Don't skip any steps, and leave out of the phone both your sim card and the microSD card (in case one of them are faulty). If, after the final hard-reset your phone manages to successfully boot up all the way, then insert the cards and see if everything is operational.
Good luck.
