the touchscreen fails when i'm at the lock screen.

i was using android 2.2
everthing went well but after some time touch failed sometimes when i go to my lock screen
i removed all the data from my memory card regarding android ,,,
now i am using the windows 6.5 (original )and every time i go to lock screen , the touch fails !!!!!!!!!!!
I`ve got this same problem - how to solve it ?? HELP
you guys tried to use a different roms ? of wm or android ? ... i got problem almost the same i changed my windows mobile rom then changed or re-installed my android and worked everything fine
This was posted a while ago but I had the same problem. I thought it was from the many different rom changes I have done so I stripped the phone and put it back to day one and it was still doing the same thing. It even does it while using the phone and I will have to lock it and then unlock it to get it to fix soooo...... I figured it was a hardware issue and called t-mo and they are replacing it under warranty.
ok. but when you`re out of warranty - then you`ve got serious problem. Nobody knows what is wrong ?

Right now i have a 6.1 rom and the problem is back
I Don't know why but my phone some times freezes and when i remove the batery and connect it again i get the calibration screen. And i lost every data i had. the only thing that remains is the date and hour.

Sounds like it is doing a hard reset, which it should not. Type of ROM? Dropped it? etc. More infor needed.

So i already tryed all 6.5 in this forum and all have the same behaviour. I think i narroewd the problem. It happen when i read my replicated gmail account.
The same thing happend when i used the insomnia rom with windows 6.1.
Right now i'm using the official rom from HTC and i don't have freezes but i get a error message saying that the tmail.exe process has failed, or something like that.
But the hardresets have stopped.
Hi guys... try to search and google for an answer to my problems but cant find the solutions..
problems : let say i turn on my hd2 at 1.00 pm on12/08/10....
and at 1.30 pm on 13/08/10 i turn off the phone and replace the battery with fresh one .. turn it on... the clock will show the time and date as 1.00pm 12/08/10...
time will be reset back to time i on the phone on the first time and it will continue the cycle...
try hard reset but the bugs still there... clear all my apps.. clean phone... bugs still there....
my phone using stock ROM 1.48,702... everything is stock...
itsx all start after i do some tweaking & installing apps which i hv uninstall now.. but the problemis still there,,..

HTC service Center advised the following :
1. Take out sim card and storage card to eliminate the error tht maybe caused by this 2 items... i've done it... and restart... walaaa... like a charm it works...
But on fine fine day i install cab file... then the old problem again haunted my hd2...
tried the above methods.. this its no longer worked..
Fed-up, i just let it be like that... then on one fine day.. I install another cab file... CHT and CHT Editor to be exact... walaaa... the old problem eliminated.. hv install/uninstall few cab file after tht (analog clock cab file).. so far everything still ok..
I would like to refresh this topic.
It started to happen to me like month ago from no special reason. I use SD Android build, so with every restart to go back to WM, time/date changes from couple minutes to couple weeks to both directions.
Hard reset did not help. Another ROM flashed did not help.
It seems to occur only when rebooting Android -> WM. WM -> WM reset direction mostly OK. Battery-out almost always changes time/date.
Just a thought: Is there any kind of "CMOS battery" like in PC motherboards, that can be weak/broken in the HD2?
Any advice appreciated

I've got the same problem using Omega rom v30. It's solved easily enough by using sptimesync to get the exact time. What's your rom? I'm gonna flash and see if anything changes

This is also happening to me. It's happened before and it somehow corrected itself, but it's really annoying me at the moment. Any ideas as to the cause? Running WM6.5 ROM, stock 3.14. Not running android at all.

I've been using T-Mobile HD2 for last 2 months and installed android, wm 6.5 and wp 7 several times without any problem (I love trying new roms).
For the past few days im facing serious issues with my device. Phone freezes/reboots at least 9/10 times a day. When it reboots it sometimes vibrates 4-5 times then hangs. I tried several radios/roms and the problem still persists. It is mostly stuck on the htc logo and i need to get into bootloader to install something new.
Today i decided to go back to stock T-Mobile Rom. I downloaded the version "RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_3.14.531.1_Radio_Signed_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_2_Ship". It flashed flawlessly but it took me 3-4 attempts (freezing issue) to load the device completely. While i was completing the settings the following error appeared:
"ARM 11 Fatal Error" and the device froze. The same thing is happening again and again. Please help!!!
I was having similar problems with my previous hd2. Reboots, freezes ....after 1 month of use. They replaced mine. There was something wrong with the motherboard.

No, I was not flashing with SD card removed from phone.
The previous phone was working acceptable for 1 month. After that it started to freeze, reboot...quite unusable
Hello,I hade almost the same problem with my HTC s620,it was becouse oe of the chips was damaged...its not ROMs problem..
Did you try to use Task29 to clean out ROM leftovers before flashing?

I did soft and hard rest and i change the rom to Energy.Leo.21916.Sense2.5 and it's the same annoying issue,
I have to mention that the Touchscreen respond without a problem - in SMS, menu and etc...

Hello!
I had the same issue with Stock ROMs. Since I am using cooked ROM all my annoying not reasonable problems disappeared. Do not hesitate to flash more than one ROM to test them, also new RADIO is recommended.
Do not forget to use task29 before you flash a new ROM, and after flashing to make a hard reset. They can make miracles
also try the Energy 23699 or 29017 ROMs after task 29 & hard reset straight after new ROM has booted. Flash a recommended radio as suggested in first Energy post & see if it cures the problem.
I assume once unlock your screen functions normally ? if not & a full reflash with task29 & HardReset doesn't fix it you probably got touch screen hardware issue.

I would like to know if you could help me with a strange problem, i´ve been using the GingerDX rom on my x10 mini pro till yesterday. Yesterday my touchscreen stopped working don´t know why, i´ve notice some lags in responding time, but i thoughth that should be "normal" with processing information or something similar...but try to reboot a few times and the problem remains, and the only thing i could do was entering pin number with slide keyboard.
Then i try to install the rom again, with full wipe etc etc, and same problem, even with other rom (one of Paullxxx).
Then thought that could be a hardware problem, and get SEUS and restore it...but then the touchscreen was responding with no problems, and i´ve been using all morning, about 12h and no problem at all.
Now i´ve root it again and had installed a custom rom again, and the problem backs again
Do someone know what is the problem?

The problem was solved by SEUS, and start ROOT and all the stuff again.
I supose it was some drivers issues or something, but strange was the fact that ROMS were working long time ago, and with no modification or update, the touch screen stop responding
I am facing the same problem.I had been using MiniCM7 Pro v20 for about 6 months, then suddenly one day touch screen stopped working. Rest all was working fine. My x10 mini pro's touch screen wont work on any custom rom . I tried with many rom's. But after updating with SEUS touch screen works again .
Can please anyone please suggest a solution on this....
