[Q] Help? - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am not sure if I am asking this in the right place or not. Has FroYo officially been released for the Vibrant yet? If so, what do I need to do to install it on my phone?

Completely wrong forum. This should be in General or the Q&A Section. To answer your question, no it has not been released for the Vibrant. Please take a look at this post before posting: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=800636

The official hasn't been released but there is a custom ROM by Eugene that has Froyo if you really want a taste of Froyo.
Everything is working with the exception of GPS because GPS files need to be released by Samsung.

Thanks, and I apologize.

Where do I get Eugene's Hybrid R4?

[Q] What to do next?

So I just downgraded my HD2 to 2.08HSPL, but now I don't know what to do. I'm still new to this and been trying to downgrade my phone for a while and finally did today. I want my phone in Android build, so do I just go into a thread under Android Developments and download a build, put it under the "root" folder (I still have no idea where this is), and install it there from my phone? Please help, thanks in advance. :]

or even better, go into the android section and read a "how to instal android" thread, there are several.
Or, again in the android section, you could ask your question in the very aptly named
"HD2 Linux/Android Q&A Thread - ASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE!!" thread.
^^^ Thanks, haha, sorry still new this whole Android thing >_>

Haxel is correct in saying that you are in the wrong section, but Haxel is confused because you WILL NOT recieve the OTA because you flashed a new rom. If you were just to root your phone and not change your rom, then yes you still would of recieved the update. But because you flashed a new rom, no you will not recieve the OTA from tmo.
Chances are that it will be on here by mid day tomorrow anyways. Thats sooner then you would mostlikely be getting it from the OTA, haha. (if it really does come out)

[Q] Help On Aria Update

Ok...aah i am tired of searching and reading threads for hours and days....
Now finally i need some serious help on my HTC.
I Have a rooted HTC Aria/Liberty running 2.1 from my brother and i need to update this.
Can any one explain step by step how do i do that?
What rom would you like to update to? A default 2.2 rom, a rooted/modded 2.2 rom, CyanogenMod, a GingerSense rom? I can help you out with all of 'em.

please tell me how can i start over from where my device already now becuse here in step by step thread is showing me from the top of rooting
TIA.

[Q] ATT, Galaxy S3 new Update 2-10-13

Hi. New here, have a question if anyone can post a reply pl? ATT pushed a new ~330MB update overnight on the Galaxy S3 and requesting to install it. Not sure if I want to update it till I know what that includes. My phone is new from past 2 months, not rooted no changes, all stock. Thanks.
There's no way of knowing what's in it, samsung doesn't release changelogs, and you didn't even provide the version.
This forum is for the i9300, not the att version.
Questions don't go in General, that's what Q&A is for

T-Mobile ROM for Verizon S5?

I figured I would visit you here in the T-Mobile S5 forum since you guys would definitely know more about this particular issue than I do. Like the title states, I'm wondering if you know of anyone in your forum flashing a T-Mobile ROM to a Verizon SM-G900V, and if so which would be a good choice of ROM to do it? And which route should I take as for flashing firmware with Odin, or if any of the Verizon firmwares are compatible with your ROM's, and I wouldn't need to flash a T-Mobile firmware at all. I looked and I can't seem to find where anyone has posted about this. Theoretically it should be able to work with the right combination. I'm definitely not new at doing this stuff but this is a whole new ball game for me. I wouldn't know where to begin at flashing a T-Mobile ROM to this phone, being that I have to work within the parameters of the stupid locked bootloader. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
Edit: I just realized I posted this in the wrong area I think. I meant to post it in the Q&A forum. Sorry about that. I guess I am too tired to do this right now and should've waited until the morning. Lol

Thank you. Again, I'm sorry about that. It wasn't until I went back looking for my post, that I realized I posted this in the wrong forum.
