Tedious path to unlock pattern in 2.1 - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

After upgrading to 2.1, I have to perform a regular unlock swipe before the unlock pattern is displayed. In 1.6 the pattern showed immediately. Is it possible to revert to the 1.6 behaviour?

unlock with a letter

is it possible to make an app that allows you (next to the original lock) to just write a letter on the screen, maybe even in standby, that will unlock your screen. I don't need unlock problems so it would have to run together with the original lock/cht.

Hello every Pros, and newbies like me,

I was trying to bypass pattern unlock screen (successfully done) on my phone (huawei g525), BUT KNOW my Friend's phone (huawei g510) came with a "so many wrong PATTERN attempted" and asking for Gmail to unlock the phone.

I have reseted the pattern (successfully)
There is no Gmail details
The phone is locked with "Too Many Pattern Attempts"
so I can unlock the device with any pattern I like!
its can be done when remember forgotten pattern.

Im not looking to unlock device with GMAIL,

Problem with pattern lock: phone immediately relocks

On one of my Axon phones the pattern lock is broken:
If I enter a wrong pattern, then it says "wrong pattern".
If I enter a correct pattern, then it seemingly unlocks, but then immediately relocks.
If I use my fingerprint, then I can unlock and use the phone as normal, except:
I can't change the pattern lock. If I try to remove it, replace it with another locking mechanism (e.g. PIN) or try to change the pattern, then android asks me to input the pattern first and I get a very similar behaviour there too. Wrong pattern -> "wrong pattern". Correct pattern. -> It loads something and then throws me back to where I was before. And then asks for the pattern again.
This is very annoying, how can I deal with that?
PS: No root or anything like that, it's all stock.

Removed pattern lock, now asking for a different pattern

Hi all, got a very stupid problem here. Tried to remove pattern lock from a RMX2001, afterwards the phone locked up and had to be rebooted. Now it's still asking for a pattern unlock, but not accepting the original pattern. The pattern is correct as I have another phone with the same pattern.
Doesn't matter how many times you enter a pattern, there's no prompt to say you've tried too many times and are locked out.
Any way to fix this without wiping the phone?
