Question for experts, and appreciate your time:
I installed Cobrato's Miui rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152555), and got it up and running (Thanks Cobrato). However, the power-on boot sequence takes quite long, and goes through these steps:
Sony Ericsson Logo -->FreeXperia x10 Recovery/Booting Custom Kernel (about 20 seconds) --> Android logo-->, then the finally the Miui ROM
My question: is there some way to eliminate the lengthy FreeXperia x10 Recovery/Booting custom kernel step?
Thanks again in advance for your help
Have you tried going to system/media and deleting the boot animation.zip

The booting custom kernel is a little slow due to the bypass, nothing can be done from our (users) side.

Copy and paste it over the original rather than cwm flash? See if that works?
Also does anyone know, are boot animation zips phone specific or totally interchangeable over all android?

Not Exactly phone specific. But it depends on screen resolution, dpi, fps.
So what would happen if you put one with a too high dpi etc on something?

Yes, it is safe to use the bootanimation.zip of the Xperia Tablet S on a Sony Tablet S. After all, a bootanimation.zip file is just an uncompressed archive file containing a desc.txt file and one or more folders of image files. Also, because the XTS and STS screens have the same pixel resolution, there would be no need to adjust the pixel values in the desc.txt file. I do not own an XTS, so I cannot provide you with its bootanimation.zip.
