[Q] BTFON pop up page - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I am looking for a way to prevent connection to unsecured wireless networks. the main culprit is BTFON as it keeps poping the info page up as I get in range of a BTfon router . I know I could turn wireless off but was hoping for a more elegant solution.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance.

Anyone aware of a way to prevent conection to unsecured wireless networks?

I would assume your laptop is creating a peer-to-peer or AdHoc network that Android can struggle with. There are no less than a dozen threads on this here. Some fixes for connecting to AdHoc but my experience has been that you will need a Infrastructure network to connect to with no issues. Use the search field upper right.

[Q] Wifi and 4g at same time?

I would like to be able to connect my phone to my galaxy 10.1 tablet (not to internet share) over wifi to enable me to use lazydroid's application to remotely view the phone screen on the tablet. I DO NOT want to share the internet to the tablet but want to maintain internet connection on the phone only.
I was thinking that this could be doable by setting up an ad hoc connection on the thunderbolt thereby allowing my tablet to connect to it but can't seem to get this to work while keeping the 3g/4g data network active. Does anyone have any help or suggestions?
Thanks!

[Q] WiFi encryption issue

Hi.
I'm having trouble connecting via WiFi at my parents house.
My SGS2 assumes the network I'm trying to connect to is WPA encrypted when it is in fact WEP. As a result my device can't connect, I've never experienced problems ike this on other networks elsewhere.
I dont really want to alter their router settings, it's not worth the hassle considering how little i use their connection.
Just wondering if there's any way around this on my SGS2?
Any help greatly appreciated.

[Q] Obtaining IP Problem

Hi
I just got my SGS2 today and tested it with a friend. He had wireless and everything was working over there. When I came home, I couldn't connect to my wifi. I always get 'obtaining ip address'...
I've been searching whole night and I haven't been able to solve the problem.
I can connect to my wifi when I enable the dhcp server, but then I can't access the internet anymore.
Network setup:
Modem -> Switch -> Wireless Switch
I get my ip address directly from my provider (Telenet - Belgium). I've no router at home and it works with every device, except for the GS2S.
Someone experience with this? Is there another way then to buy a new router?
Thanks in advance
