[Q]froyo on x10 mini available? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Well, I wonder whether hardware of x10 mini matches requirement spec of froyo.
x10 mini's internal memory is so small. So, I think app installable in external memory is necessary for x10 mini.
hope that upgrading froyo on x10 mini is possible in official or unofficial.
good day~

No Froyo on X10, E10, U20 yet, but possible...just search for "Bootloader"....and you're in.
The Mini as in my Knowledge will not have any Problems to run Froyo and maybe Gingerbread. (They say to Froyo that a 300Mhz CPU is under the Specs but a 600+ is more then enough to run 2.2 and 2.3) even with 128MB Flash.
2.2 and more the 2.3 are trimmed to run more ressourcehealthy then 2.1 and older.
Only thing is the Bootloader, but hopefully there will be a workaround sooner or later.
I dont expect any official Update to 2.2 or 2.3 from SE for all of the actual Handsets (including the X8).

What about the firmware flasher around this forum, doesnt it mean the boot loader was cracked ?

Yes for froyo x10 they are working on a froyo rom on top of the eclair bootloader and when they got the radio (gsm 3G bluetooth wifi) working they release it for public
Maby (i hope) they go further with the developing of the rom for mini and mini pro
So thumbs up for the devs and lets hope they wil develop further
About the custom flasher froom binary its they SE way for updating but i thnik its poissble to changes the files but then the next problem changing froyo to work with the 2.1 bootloader
But when the bootloader gets cracked (lets hope they crack it fast) we get more possibilities for custom roms it makes flashing much easier
Correct my story if there are any mistakes in it
Sorry for my grammar im form the holland lands

eh... Sky Mirach(IM-690S/IM-690L) has same cpu MSM7227 600Mhz.
But this device setting froyo. support flash lite 10.1.
Spec of Mirach is equal to x10 mini's spec.
So, I think we can expect froyo on x10 mini.

Oh, yeah, man! I really need it. I don't know you, bur I think its very disappointing when I want to choose one hamburger and the site only have menu in flash...

I herd its Froyo only
Htc managed to find a way of strapping flash to their 2.1 release but for us x10 users its going have to be either custom 2.2 releases or unless SE decide to give us 2.2.

Flash wont work on the x10 because of the lack of multitouch.

I read the article again and again but failed to see why Flash will not be supported just because the phone has no multi-touch.
Thats bull****^^ The X10 supports Flash but the X10 Android Version dont support it why would Flash dont work becouse no MT then you can say too DivX or MP4 dont work becouse no MT or something^^
Currently I have the snes emulator but it's pointless with single touch so maybe this is why Adobe Flash will not be supported
Taken form the link above
"Other interesting details include confirmation that the capacitive display is single touch only and that Adobe Flash will not be supported."
No Flash is 2.2 only thats becouse Flash is not supported on X10 it had nothing to do with the Single Touch Display. In this Post the Single Touch did not have something to do with the Flash, it says Flash is not supported, it didnt say becouse of that Flash is not supported. Flash dont need MT, Flash only need ARM 7 and 2.2 and the X10 has ARM 7 but not 2.2

Regardless of whether it can be spooned on to the x10 or not there is so much more to flash than video playback as i'm sure you know but I personally want the full expirence so just like mario kart, i'll wait till my next upgrade.
Apologes for my previous statement i'm sure all things are possible but maybe only through the efforts of the Dev community but the hardware is still lacking key smart phone features.

The biggest hurdle is getting past the bootloader. The different handset manufacturers all use their own bootloader and flashing tools. These tools are secured to prevent "unauthorised" tampering with the firmware. Until our intrepid developer friends have found a way past these pesky little hurdles we're stuck with stock firmware.
Hope this helps.
J.
so i guess you can only root x10 mini pro
Thanks
ok, thanks a lot jamesg

[Q] Few questions i need answered.

Hello, been having wars with my provider (signal) so now im back , there's a few questions i need answered.
1. my andriod is V2.1, Build :2.0.a.0.504, is this the best build for a generic x10i from SE?
2. Will this version support multi-touch, if it requires upgrading, will it remove my settings again?
3. Im looking at doing the beta Froyo upgrade, isnt it possible to run the SE "bloat" programs like Mediascape and timescape and creatouch on it?
4. Im trying to figure away to tunnle a connection so i dont need to use easyteether, i know Froyo has this ability with it, but how can i get 2.1 to get this? or do i still require an app on my driod to do that, as i find that the app bottlenecks it from time to time. (done tests where my Internet on pc slow, but the phone quicker)
5. i ran a rooting program, where u switched off an on ur phone, and it installed a super user program, isnt there another way to just make it super user with out having to have the super user application which i could of gotten from andriod market?
Please assist
p.s aren't you guys already working on throwing out 2.3 for the x10 already? or was it just a rummor?

Froyo has the ability built in, but SE's kernel does not support native teethering. You're stuck with 3d party teethering apps.

Rooting the phone can be done without installing SU and installin SU does not root your phone. SU is a program that tells you what other programs ask for "admin" on your phone and lets you decide if they should hav it.

Hi,
I also didn`t live near americas (hell there`s atlantic ocean between us ) and i have 435 installed.
It will wipe all your thing.
Just like format c: (**** i miss that)
The best way to do everything with just one tool is flashtool. There you can do almost everything.
If there`s any doubt go HERE

[Q] Flash Player & X10

I was looking to install Adobe Flash Player on my X10 and noticed its filtered in the market so I am unable to download it. Is this because of a Hardware
restriction (which seems unlikely), a Sony restriction or is it my carrier (Rogers)?
If anyone can help me out that would be awesome. I probably won't even use flash that much, I just want to rub it in the face of iPhone users.

You have to be on 2.2 or higher to use flash. Im guessing your on stock 2.1 which is why you cant get it.

I have a problem with Adobe Flash 10.3 installation.
It downloads from market, installs, and then says: "Package file was not signed correctly".
Sorry if this is common problem, I didn't find the resolution.
Unfortunately, Dolphin Browser doesn't really help with flash...
Any advice, please?..
In short you need a rom that uses Android 2.2+ or flash won't work, I tried several stuff with 2.1 and coldn't make it work.
Use skyfire to watch flash videos
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Skyfire will help with flash videos but flash does so much more than play videos!!!
Unfortunately the only way to get flash to work on an x10i is to be running 2.2
The only reason I got into rooting and found this site was a desperate need to use flash on my phone and when SE released the official 2.1 update and I was horrified to see it did not support flash after I ad waited all that time,,, thats where xda, zdizhu, DooMLoRD, Wolfbreak and all the other devs came to my help so I could install 2.2 and finally use flash!!

okay so ive been scouring through these forums in search of step by step tutorials to get the latest OS for my new xperia x10 mini pro u20i that doesn't have any bugs. I've run into many terms that I'm not familiar with such as root, roms, devs, kernals, etc (please understand as i am upgrading from a 1st generation nokia flip phone )

If you want to stay with stock 2.1 the video is right. If you want to put some custom rom, then you must follow the flippin manual and yes it is correct. Dont worry its not that hard as it seems to be, just be sure to make backups everytime you can before and after the installation. For your data, Titanium backup will do the job, for custom rom xRecovery.

Flippin manual is good, but i don't see the point of installing both xrec and cwm. In rest it's confirmed and the video is also confirmed. It's from SE, after all
