Which one do you guys prefer? Im stuck between both. I dont mind touchwiz although i know sometimes it bogs down the phone. So im just seeing what u guys think is the best.

There has been very little in the way of Gingerbread development for the Vibrant.
Rom cooks seem to have deserted us.
Edit: The thing is guys, Team Whiskey has been regularly releasing stuff for Nexus S. Is there not any possibility they might have switched ? [my point about switching is mostly rhetorical. Cant afford to switch im poor]
A member pointed out that our rom cooks only take samsung leaks and plug up their issues and make roms. I didnt believe him and reported him for flamebait.
I am not so sure anymore. Please can someone reassure me ?

I am not trolling. Just looking for some hope. Because every time i turn the computer on, the first thing i do is refresh the Vibrant Android Development forum and check for some updated rom which includes a significant chunk of Gingerbread.
Dude I would say its obvious that some of the activity may have died down due to people spending time with their families and what not as it has been mentioned, I would say hold out for a little while at least.. Even Supercurio is working on bettering his Voodoo project which will lead to more success... It may seem as if we have been getting bread crumbs at this point but I am optimistic that it will pick up..

Team Whiskey is working on bringing Gingerbread to the Vibrant as we speak...there is an EXPERIMENTAL build that sombionix put up...but porting it is easier said than done....Team Whiskey is the among the best in the business...and they're build has a few things that are not working...but it runs on our Vibrant...
Bottom line: Have patience....Gingerbread will come soon enough...

Yeah, Nero 3 is incredibly stable my daily driver since its day of release.

I would like to get into developing themes and have all the necessary know and tools. I am just having some trouble coming up with ideas. So here I am, suggestions?

Professional, clean lines/sharp, color choices that are easy on the eye, easily readable.. something that looks more professional/modern.

Windows 3.1 had a color theme called "Hot Dog Stand."
I would love to see that ported to the vibrant.

I think i will most likely do the clean sharp and professional just cuz we need something to show other people who get phones for work to show them that these are just not toys. I do like the idea of a engine/car inspired theme tho that one is going to take alot of creativity to do. I will probably start with a clean and professional one. See what it turns into and use that to help me solidify my skill set. I know most people nowadays are using either tw d4a or eijenhar and i think most of the key roms are KA7 based.

There is a new leak, doubtful you will ever be able to keep up (not a hit on you, just moves fast)....
KA7 and the voodoo kernel is money though. I am wanting to try Eugenes new kernel, but have not yet.. sounds like he has really improved the battery. Currently running Flagship V3 with no plans to switch, best rom I have used to date.

asjkf i thought the most recent thing was the vibrant 4g kernel eugene and tw were porting over, man i forget to check one day and im already behind.

I have flashed many ROMS...Currently I have Bionix v1.2. As per my experience its the best ROM i have ever flashed in my vibrant.Excellent speed. GPS is fastest compared to other ROMs. As i use my phone a lot..I had to charge my phone every now and then but now I don't have to do that much often. Flashing KB1 gave a excellent battery life to mi fone .
What are your experiences over different ROMS?
I am running Axura 2.2.6...i can assure you that my experience with this ROM will be different from yours
check out each ROMs development thread, do some experimental flashes, and judge for yourself.
the reason i say this is because anyone who responds to this thread will either say what i said or will give you their personal favorite. i guarantee you once you have enough people give their personal favorite, you will pretty much just have a list of all vibrant ROMs to choose from...which is already available to you in the Vibrant Bible.
I would have to say loki is my favorite rom because it is stable and seemingly gets faster the longer you use it. Battery life is great and has an aosp feel to it. As for gps I couldn't voucher for it or bash it as I almost never use it.

Theres no definitive answer to these thread. I see them all the time. You need to read through the posts, and flash and test for yourself. You're asking a question in which the answer is solely based on opinion.
Maybe opinion is what he wants? Just sayin', because he said "What are your experiences over different ROMS?"
Bionix is awesome, Nero was okay, however I prefer Bionix.
But I flashed from bionix v to bionix v 1.2 and got a semi-brick, recovered with Odin though. But, I think problem was on my part...If phone was still working I'd get Bionix back!
i personally use bionix...but this is like going on yahoo answers and asking which car manufacturer is the best.
I am using Flagship V4 as my first flashed ROM. i like the speed and the Launcher pro.
9 more post and i can thank the devs.
i know your gone for a little bit on the Vibrant end but some one needs to revamp an older miui release and bring it up to par for those of us who dont want to use miui V4 and want the Gingerbread snappy feel :laugh:

You know, this is a tad off topic from my end, but I was wishing way back when that Fish would revamp this Rom:

Anyways, I love Miui GB.....Prime was one of my favorite roms...I was getting 2 days of life easy with every charge. An optimization would be absolutely sweet.

He has the Miui ROMs and was an avid supporter/user before he came rom Zen. I would hit him up before he starts back up at school.
Btw, anyone know why Fish left? Read his threads but don't know. Just time off or moving on?

yes im going to have to to some hellafied research on here as for FISH if im correct he has a HTC one s now ..he said he wasnt going to abandon us but he said he will be taken a break from the vibrant he is always around and looking tho which is great as for miui i was always stuck on revamped ss when the 360 clone and all the ncmin and others were coming out but yeah im stuck on froyo for battery and stablness i will always love miui to death for the customizations but FROYO has came along way as far as all the 2.2 apps and tweaks there are now im stuck on 2.2

thats another reason why i love the vibrant community everyone is so friendly and willing to help others with the selected few lol but everyone is always willing to help or provide you with something of some sort look how long i been a member but look at my post i been flashing HARD!! since the G1 and still have lol but yeah that crisis rom is awesome !! and FISH actually lives like 20 minutes from me so he is very resourceful if i ever did need something he was always quick to respond to my PM etc he is really down to earth guy AND OMG PRIME was the SHIIIIIzZZIT!!!! that and REVAMPED ill always be a die hard miui fan but FROYO has came such a long way to throw it away IMO
