NOOB WARNING: Only flash ROMS if you have nandroid backup experience using custom recovery such as Amon_RA's and have flashed roms before!
"Shameless Kang-Bang" ROM(s) would be rightly considered by Android programmers as lazy file-pushing packages for the convenience of those (like me) who just like to flash new ROMs with some bundled features/mods developed by the real pros. I admit to having little or no skills
This is a paste-n-bake version of the leaked official Android 2.2 "signed-passion-FRF50-from-ERE27" courtesy of/by modaco:
The radio.img that was originally included in the OTA update released to a limited number of press devices has been excluded. This ROM will not flash a new radio on your Nexus One. This ROM should work with any radio.
I've applied the Geniusdog254 build.prop mod so the Market works and also applied a few of the britoso widget transparencies as well as couple apps as listed:
+ accuweather widget (from motorola and allows multiple forecast location widgets)
+ nfl mobile app (thanks jlevy73)
+ logger app
+ transparent genie widget
+ transparent power control widget
+ transparent calendar widget
Reported bug(s): As of date/time in the edit signature below, this ROM has 586 downloads and a handful of users report VPN not working for them.
Do thank paulobrien for putting out the "FRF50 (FroYo) pre-rooted update zip" ROM as soon as the XDA community pulled the "signed-passion-FRF50-from-ERE27.1e519a24.zip" from the Google servers! Also thank cyanogen for his FroYo quick rooter.
As always... thanks to dsixda for keeping his kitchen project alive. My Java and Android knowledge is less than basic so I am sure that many of your questions will surpass my ability to answer them intelligently (if at all). So, don't expect much more work to be done on this otherwise stable and usable daily basic FroYo ROM that includes Google Exchange ActiveSync for both corporate email and corporate calendar already integrated within the native Android email and calender apps.

Hey. it works. I like the transparent widgets as well as the NFL mobile app. Does the NFL mobile app give us option to watch live games when the season starts. Also, I just flashed this over Paul's Froyo version. So far so good. I am using the latest Radio, just using the older radio when I switch to A22. Good work thanks man.
I flashed this over Paul's Froyo too. Did a no wipe, everything went smooth, market works great, nice widgets, no FC's, but I lost root. I just flashed Cy's Tweaked kernel, quick rooter and things are cool.

This rom is what I am calling a "zip rom" (non AOSP) Rom with some AOSP Apps. Once again this rom is not a built from source rom (AOSP), it was built from a ota.zip, (hence the phrase "ZIP ROM").*
Most TouchWiz applications have been removed, except the ones kept in order to keep the Rom stable. Apk files have been deodexed, optipng, zipaligned and some apps are built from source. Shutdown animation was changed and a few ringtones were added.
Apps removed:*
A lot!*
Apps were placed in /sdcard/extras/ folder:
Memo.apk
com.androidapps.spare_parts.apk
puzzle_lock.apk
TATLiveWallpapersOceanWave.apk
VoiceRecorder.apk
Thanks to all for the following below:

Superuser - Chainsdd

And everyone else that made it possible.
This was my first "Zip Rom" since I am a fan of AOSP Roms, I do not have a huge amount of experience making a rom like this (zip rom). I have recently been working on my other Rom named "Cadmium" which is a Droid AOSP Rom. (Completed, but not publicly released yet)*

http://deodexed.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=5
Or here on our webpage http://www.modadroid.com/showthread.php?t=1
***Version 2.1.2 Change log***
Changed Rom naming convention so it fits the Android OS version. (preparing for Froyo)
Updated boot sound.
Added back default live wallpaper (ocean)
removed some /sdcard/extras
changed to the default mms.apk (for text messaging)
removed quadrant (get it from the market)
Added PowerAMP_1.0_build_68.apk to /sdcard/extras
Boot animation is loaded when using a custom kernel. (Recommend JT1134 or Birdman's latest kernels!) Go to kernel section to get them.
A few more optimizations with the apps apk structure. (deodexed, zipaligned, optipng and what not) saving a little more space..
yeah for flashing! Dl'ing now.
Excellent.. Downloading now
Something told me to do a nandroid backup before I went to sleep lol

Awesome. Looks like it has the black notification bar too! Downloading now!

Smoked glass blue was my first ROM and theme ever, and a smoked glass blue theme was the last theme I ever put on my Droid.
got some more pictures?
Does this have the puzzle/glass unlock screens or the stock one?
It is just deodexed with some aosp apps and blackmod from the fascinate themes section. What is the custom shutdown anim?
is this compatible with the 1.2 boot animation voodoo kernal?
and sorry a noob question,
what exactly is a deoxed, zip rom? what is the main difference between that and a normal aosp rom?
Very slick. Awesome that you kept some of the apps as "extras".
It's nice and quick. Nothing not to like about that.
Thanks!
Uh oh. It tells me the Swype package installed is for a different device and I can't swype, only tap. Why the heck would Swype be removed in the first place?
Thanks for the nice rom. I had to revert back because removing the vicemail breaks the dialer. I always bump the voicemail button in the dialer (even though I use google voice) and with the voicemail app gone the dialer will crash killing the call.
I have tried to restore a deoxed version back in but never get it working. Outside of that it's a great rom. If you stuck voicemail back in or we could remap buttons to google voice like you can in windows mobile it would be perfect for me.

Hello,
This is a thread for all the add-ons for Noejn's void. #forever ROM I have compiled from various sources. If you have any problems or requests regarding add-ons, please post here and keep the DEV forum clean.
I will NOT be making update.zips for applications found on the Android Market.
Original Post:
Add-ons, Theme Chooser, DSP Manager, Live Wallpapers
CyanogenMod Settings:
CM Settings
voidAddonsPack.zip
Contains all the apks given below except Stock Music, Calculator and Sound Recorder. These apps are provided separately below.
Link : voidAddonsPack
apps-addon.zip
This .zip contains FM, Browser and Calendar .apks
You can use 7-Zip to remove any .apk that you don't want and then flash.
Remember Browser needs DownloadProviderUI and Calendar needs Calendar Provider.
stock.zip
This .zip contains Email, Stock Music and Talk .apks
Music.apk shows 'video' icon, but doesn't work. Use Moboplayer. CM7 issue I guess. Music Player is fine.
You can use 7-Zip to remove any .apk that you don't want and then flash.
themechooser.zip
This .zip contains ThemeChooser, ThemeManager, Androidian and Cyanbread .apks
You can use 7-Zip to remove Androidian and Cyanbread themes and flash.
Download any theme .apk for CM7 MDPI devices.
DSPManager.zip and LiveWallpapers.zip
Just adds these two features.
CMSettings.zip
Adds CM Settings to your Settings Menu. It contains a lot of tweaks and hacks to customize your phone.
Calculator.zip
Just the stock calculator.
Link: Calculator
SoundRecorder.zip
SoundRecorder that comes with CM7.
Link: SoundRecorder
Uninstalling:
If you decide, you don't need a feature anymore, just look into the .zip and delete all the .apks from your phone using a Rooted Uninstaller or Titanium Backup. Before uninstalling CMSettings files, flash the attached OriginalSettings.apk
The purpose of void is to provide you with a minimalistic ROM that you can tweak. Don't complain about lack of features because that's how it was intended it to be.
The reason there are multiple zips is so that people can choose what features they want. But, if you want everything all at once, flash the voidAddonsPack.
Remember to reboot between flashes.
Fire away if you have any questions.
Thanks a lot mik and Noejn for your great ROMs.

I'm not doing any kind of development. I'm just compiling.
Hmm maybe you're the guy who could help me then... :x because i'm too used to the "stock" music, movie players and the stock Email client!
I tried using the ones from Andy's and Mik's Rom (both the .apk with the .odex file too) and even the GinjaLOL, but no luck! Since i'm really far from being familiar with deodexing and since you're being so helpfull about providing such kind of help, which i am tremendously appreciating, was hoping you could give me a hand with that!
PS: I Tried the email app and doesn't seem to be working :x
I dont mean to rude or anything but, i cant post on the androis developement thread, so im asking here. Im fairly new to roms, void #forever is my 2nd rom actually, void delta being my first. Im having issues with something. I dont know if its the rom or if i just messed up flashing. But almost evrytime i open and interact with an app(thats like 70-80%) of the time, it either lags/hangs or force closes. Ive installed all your add ons except for the live wallpaper one, has ungaze's data to sd. Flashed void add on, and im pretty sure i followed all the steps correctly. Ehat seems to be the problem? do i need to reflash?

Mm. okay. I'll upload stock email, music and movie player soon. I'll try it on my phone first and see if its causing any problems.
@deathlust
I don't think anyone has those kinda problems so its better if you re flash. You have to wipe everything, install ROM first, then void forever addon, then any of the other stuff. Reboot between flashes.
ya do so exactly like its mentioned! 1 thing, i had a sort of FC the first time i accessed the market but after a close app on the app manager and restart... all stars try to reflash and don't haste it! take your time cause you rly have to pay attention to the instructions or you risk to screw something up ^^
Thanks fotlr the fast reply guys. Will try that as soon as i get a hold of a computer.
So.. little update! I Tried that "all in one pack" void-addons and the email app seems to work now! Thanks maybe you could use the same deodexing method you did for the email app, but for the music and movie players?
Thanks once again in advance m8

I Believe so! MoviePlayer.apk but... let me confirm!
Edit: Ah nope... nope, it's not in Andy's or Mik's Rom it's on the "GingerLOL_1.2" i believe! the file there is the "MoviePlayer.apk" + the .odex
okay. I'll download and try it out. Check back in a couple of hours.
EDIT: Sorry, the .apk from GingerLOL doesn't work well with void. I get a video player in my drawer. But it hangs when I try to use it.
It's cool, i'll stick with Mobo Player then
Once again, thanks for your assistance R2

And with the Void Addon Pack it says the same.

Included in attached stock.zip.
All credit goes to nygfan760 for his Slick Rom that included these apps. I wanted to stick with The Base, but couldn't resist Emoji and Screen-off playback for YouTube so I pulled these .apks.
Just flash the zip in CWM after making a nandroid

Not sure how to go about this for an odexed system.
To install in a terminal:
$su
$mount -o remount,rw /system
$mv /system/app/[APP] /system/app/[APP].bak
$cp /mnt/sdcard/[AOSP APP] /system/app/
Then reboot. :good:

Stock mms is actually LGMms3.apk.
And I've HEARD (can't confirm myself) that you can install them on an odexed ROM and just delete the xx.odex file that corresponds with the .apk from /system/app. So to install the browser just delete browser.odex from /system/app (assuming it is just called browser.apk).
You then reboot.
And may have to clear both caches.
Sorry for the noob question, but I've never installed anything via terminal. Can't you just install these apk's the way you'd install any other sideloaded apk? Do you have to use the terminal?

I've been using the AOSP SMS app from Slick ROM for a couple days now. One thing that I miss from stock is that it doesn't wake the screen when a text is received and it doesn't popup to reply.

It has quick emoji, quick reply, different vibrate options, and an awesome holo theme. Unfortunately it's for Jellybean though. Maybe something is portable for ICS though.

Install is failing for me on the holomms.apk.
Edit: even though I am getting install failed, it seemed to install anyway. I notice this is a much older version of MMS. The holo version lacks the "original timestamp" feature which I use considerably due to being in a lot of service dead spots during my day. Any chance on the original plan of theming the first apk? No biggie either way
These are Theme templates for the people that like to change things up without haveing to flash a whole ROM.
They only contain the app, font, and framework folders for the system. AGAIN THIS IS NOT A ROM.
You can use this for a couple of diffrent things:
1. dodex a stock rom
2. return a themed rom back to stock deodexed
3. Create your own theme w/o building a whole ROM.
Have fun and happy themeing
