StreakMod Recovery - Streak 5 Android Development

** UPDATE **
Needless to say, this project has been abandoned. However, please note the source for my contribution has been shared since day one and is still available (https://github.com/davidmroth). While I'm not available to provide individual support, I am more to happy to provide support of any new projects based off the Dell StreakMod Recovery source. Thanks you all for your support and encouragement!
INTRODUCTION
Here is a little project I have been working on for quite sometime now. It's another Recovery based on work from Koush (Clockwork). My goal was to create a Dell Streak specific implementation with a stock look and feel.
This is in early development and I am pretty sure it has bugs But hopefully, with feed back from the XDA community, this can become great tool.
FEATURES
Landscape orientation
Capacitive buttons
First stage of the two stage camera button works
Signature verification setting survives reboot (disabled by default) - Good suggestion gingernator007!
More to come!
In keeping with the open source spirit, the source is available @ https://github.com/davidmroth. Any suggestions or feedback will be greatly appreciated! Also, I will accept patches and contributions.
HOW TO INSTALL THE RECOVERY
Unzip and flash with: fastboot -i 0x413c flash recovery recovery.img

Hold down the keys "volume up" and "volume down" simultaneously while rebooting.
Select "Software upgrade via Update.pkg on SD Card" in the menu
At the Dell Logo press the power button and you will be presented with the Recovery Menu

While in the recovery, navigate to the advance menu item, and click select by pressing either the menu key or the camera key. Next select "report error;" the file recovery.log will be automatically copied to the root of the SDCard. Please post the contents of the file in a new post in this thread.
Please also post a brief summary of your issue and provide the following details:
Current ROM, i.e. Dell Froyo 318, DJ_Steve 1.5.1, etc...
Android Version, i.e. 2.2, 2.1, 1.6, etc...
Kernel and Baseband version (while booted normally, this info can be found by pressing the menu button and navigating to Settings, then About)
THANKS
I would like to thank all the folks who are working to make the Dell Streak one of the best smartphones available. I also would like to thank Koush, Amon_RA, DJ_Steve, DoctorW, smokku, and spences10 for their help and/or contributions. Last but not least, I would like to thank Google for a great OS!
A big special thanks to all who have provided feedback, suggestions, and bug reports!
!!! COMMON ISSUES !!!
StreakMod Recovery being overwritten by the stock recovery - If you are having issues with the stock recovery overwriting your custom recovery, please read this excellent guide on how to resolve: http://www.rdtk.net/2011/06/14/custom-recovery-prevent-overwriting-on-dell-streak/

Nice one! It would help dramatically, expecially to the newbies, if you kinda add some small hints there like 'press shut down button to go to upper menu'.

Recovery looks good. I tried to do a nandroid backup a couple times but the screen just went black mid backup both times and I had to pull the battery. The third time I booted back in I was just looking through the menus and the screen went black again. Not sure what's causing this, just thought I would let you know.
Thanks for your work!

Thank homeiss! This is exactly the feedback I was looking for. Anyways, I uploaded a new version of the Recovery and the nandroid backup is working correctly. It seems as if the kernel was the culprit. Thanks again!!

Very impressive work, much better than the hacked ported cw recovery we've had up until now. The only small issue I can find is that the 'advance' setting probably should read 'advanced' but that's just trying to find fault.
I think you should give it a better name so it's not confused with the stock dell recovery...how about Streakovery!

Awesome,
Glad to see it on the forums at last mistadman
I know you have put a hell of a lot of work into this [on IRC at what hour??] and the community here will only help strengthen the recovery
Downloading now

Looks like the choose zip option doesn't populate the whole folder directory of my sd card, only folders that start with a capital letter (and not all of them either). I would also like the ability to save the disable signing feature as this currently resets on boot.
Thanks again for all your work.

Must say very surprised to see this did not know you was working on it
I will give it a sticky and thanks

Awesome work, Thanks! Just a heads up I have the same problem here. The whole folder is not populated on my SD card. Otherwise great work, this finally allows streak owners to have a working way to backup out streaks.

Great to see more developers getting involved with streak.
Gud luk and keep it coming.

this recovery is getting better, i like it

Looking forward to the next update. I would also suggest putting a post up on modaco as that's where a lot of Streak dev is going down.
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App

Can't restore nandroid backup.

Just tried to flash steves new update using this and it wouldnt update for some reason. Reverted to normal clockword and it did it first time.

I can also confirm that the new update doesn't flash with this recovery.

mancterrier, gingernator007,
I am sorry my Recovery isn't working for you. If you could provide a little more feedback, I am pretty sure I could resolve your issue.
What update are you referring to?
What version of my recovery are you running?
What error message did you receive?
By default, my recovery is setup to flash updates with signatures embedded in to the update file. I believe this is something that Google added to Froyo, and is used for their official updates. Most mod developers do not use this feature and this may explain why using my recovery fails--its checking for signatures that do not exist and fails to install the update. However, I anticipated this issue and added a feature to my Recovery to disable signature checking.
If you happen to give my recovery another shot, you can verify that disabling signature verification resolves your issue. After you start the recovery, click the menu item: "apply sdcard:update.zip." Afterwards, click the menu item: "disable signature verification." After its disabled, you should be able to apply your update.
In my future updates, I will most likely modify the recovery to make it more intuitive to prevent any confusion.
Thanks for the feedback guys!

Hi mate. I was flashing 1.4.2 with your latest version from xda. I tried disabling signatute but still didn't work. Cheers
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App

disable signature check is working for none-signed updates, so its not that..
steves 1.42 (haven't checked 1.45 with your recovery) spits out a fail error after a few seconds, I think during extraction.
I'll try and capture the error later.

[Q] Cyanogen Mod Market Weirdness

Hello everyone,
I was using VeganTab as my ROM of choice for a long time, and recently switched to CyanogenMod7 for a change and a more traditional Android feel.
With VeganTab, I had no issues using the Market. Every app I wanted to download was available in the market. Using CyanogenMod7, when I go to download apps I get a "this application is not available for your device" message on several apps. Firefox being one of them, which the gTablet should be able to support.
Why would one ROM work and the other doesn't on the same device? Has anyone else encountered this and know how to fix it?
Hello, I have one Gtab running CM7 what version/build are you on? Which apps are not showing up other than Firefox? Have you modified anything (build.prop)? If I remember right I had to modify the build.prop to get some apps to show up.
The apps in the market are set up to show only to devices that they are designed to be run on. When you change roms, your device shows up differently to the Market, so some apps might appear that weren't there before and some may dissappear. Read through the thread where you got the rom from and you may find some tips. Also as a temp. solution you can download the .apk files for many apps either to your PC or the the tablet and "side load" it (go to file manager and tap the downloaded .apk to install). Open a root file explorer and go to /system and open build.prop. Let me know what is says for product board, region and lcd density.
Thanks for the quick response Dave.
So far, Agenda Widget and Firefox are the two I can't get through the market. I haven't tried a ton of others yet.
I've been playing with the bool.prop file a little bit, based on tutorials I've seen here and at other forums. This thread seems to offer the best advice, but didn't work for me.

Looks from your build.prop file that you are on an older build of CM7. The apps you mentioned, Firefox and Firefox Beta, and the Agenda Widget show up and work on mine. You could try using some of the values in my .prop file here, or update to a newer version of CM7. You might be able to install over your current build without wiping your data, but back up first of course.
Thanks Dave. Can you link me to a stable, updated version of CM7?
There is a CM7 rom hosted here at XDA:
CYANOGENMOD7.2.0-RC0-BUILD98-REPACK
Or you can go to Cyanogenmod Wiki. Don't forget to download the Gapps separately from the bottom of the same page and install them too.
I apologize in advance if it is not allowed to post a link to their wiki page .
Actually I have had this problem ALOT, no matter what version of CM7 I use on it. Its even worse when the new Market gets pushed to it, I usually have to downgrade it back and remove the MarketUpdater.apk so it stays on the old one.
I am running the ICS Alpha/Beta (forget which) right now so everything works, albeit very slow.
I had the same issue it's the odd LCD density of 161 that market doesn't like. I changed mine to 200 then do the standard market fix reboot and it should be fine.

[Firmware] Xperia S - Stock SG-Generic - 6.0.A.3.73 {1257-6921}

I just packed up .73 Generic Singapore to an FTF, and Korumera was kind enough to host it in XDA Servers.
Download from: http://xdafileserver.nl/Sony (Ericsson)/
Filename: LT26i_6.0.A.3.73_SG_Generic.ftf
MD5: 9a58329f9d60ed7538d7c7ef9489e90e
Size: 498 MB (523,206,656 bytes)
NO ROOT REQUIRED, NO BOOTLOADER UNLOCK REQUIRED, WILL NOT VOID WARRANTY
You can flash this without losing any data!
If you uncheck the "wipe userdata" box in Flashtool before flashing, you will not lose any data. You can convert from any customization to this one without any problems!
To flash this, follow the following steps:
For starters, make sure you have Flashtool installed. If you have issues with Flashtool, make sure you also have PC Companion or Sony Update Service installed.
Download the .ftf file to your computer and place it in the Flashtool\Firmwares folder.
Open Flashtool and click the lightning bolt in the menu bar.
Select Flashmode and click OK
Select the right firmware in the left column (LT26i_6.0.A.3.73_SG_Generic.ftf).
Check or uncheck "Wipe User Data". If selected, all user data will be deleted. If you want to update or change customization without losing data, uncheck it.
Click OK and wait for the instruction to unplug the device, ...
Turn your phone OFF, and plug it in while keeping the volume down button pressed.
Follow the steps in the main window of Flashtool, wait until the flashing is done.
I've tested this on my device and works fine.
Note: I'm providing this as it is and I'm not responsible if something goes wrong! Flash it at your own risk!!
Hi LiveSquare, you just beated me in posting this for about 30 minutes
Would you be doing root for this build? If not I can post the prerooted image.

On the side note, this version of the rom includes all three IME methods (English, Chinese and Japanese).
It also has the following bundles:
-Foursquare
-Xperia Football Downloads
-ShowNearBy
-WisePilot
-McAfee Security
-NeoReader
-MediaRemote

flashing right now
edit: Flashing went like a charm. Thanks. Used the guide at xperiablog
Is it ok to install this over the uk generic version of .67?
Thanks
Flashing successfully done!
Thanks for providing firmware and for the good explanation.
Now crossing fingers for a better battery performance.
I´m having issues with google play
Don´t know if it´s related to this rom or not
edit: Works, just Google playing with my account

Nope. I'm not that advanced yet .
Please feel free to build the pre-rooted image.
May be you can send me a guide via PM .

Yes, but I would recommend to flash fully (without wipe of course) to avoid any incompatibility issues.
Do we follow the above method for unlocked bootloaders as well?

You can flash it on the boot loader unlocked phone as well. Shouldn't be an issue. But remember to flash the pre-rooted system.img file after that to regain the root.
Can anyone upload build.prop of this Rom? Or copy the text here?

Android USB drivers + adb is well known for giving problems in flashing ...
Off-topic:
This firmware has been downloaded over 350 times!
i have put the file (which it says is 15mb?) into the flashtools firmware folder (same place i put the .67 update) but when i load up flashtools and select the lighting bolt nothing appears there. What am i doing wrong?
thanks
---------- Post added at 09:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:49 AM ----------
i think there must have been a problem with the download as the file should be like 499mb so going to dry and download again.
fixed it
all done...lets wait and see if this firmware is any better
is german included in this rom?

[Q] Wanted build.prop values for Sony Tablet S 16GB

Hello !
Could anyone please post the build.prop values for the Sony Tablet S 16GB Wifi only Model (SGPT111US/S) Running ICS ??
I'm unable to restore my build.prop values after modifying it through an app on the PlayStore Called Allwinner Mod, which promised to provide access to more apps on the market by altering build.prop values. It really wasn't of any use
Now that my build.prop has been altered, I'm unable to revert back to the default values. I've tried to restore it from build.prop.bak in root explorer, but somehow the values still remain the same even after replacing.
My tab is currently running on Android 4.0.3 r5a, and is rooted. (Thanks to Bin4ry's method )
I've checked the entire forum for the values, but couldn't find any for ICS 4.0.3 r5a, i could only find values for honeycomb 3.2.1. Hence I'm creating this post.
Have always trusted XDA when it comes to any issue regarding Android, and I've never been let down.:good:
Thanks in advance:good:

So, you'd better hold your interest if your tab is rooted.
Could you be a bit clear as to what u want mate ?

If its the method of rooting that you're asking for,
Here's what I did.
1. Backup all ur data, and factory reset the tab, preferably with erase USB option checked.
2. Download Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry
3. Once ur tab is reset, complete the initial setup, go to settings, and make sure USB debugging (Developer Options), Unknown Sources (Security) is checked
4.Now to run Bin4ary's script, follow the instructions given in this video tutorial.
5. Instruction for rooting the tab appear from 6:00mins after start of the video.
6. Though the video shows instructions for Xperia Tablet S, the method for the older Sony Tablet S is the same. The only catch being which version of the script to use. As I've mentioned in this thread before, v10 of Bin4ary's script did the job for me.
7. If all the steps are followed as shown in the video, you will be able to root your tablet successfully.
Don't forget to thank WonderEkin for translating the rooting method from japanese, and also Bin4ry for making the rooting procedure so much simpler through his script !!

What I mean is that you'd better not easily modify your system files, if your is rooted.
I don't want to know the process of root.

Sorry for my unclear words.
Thanks mate ! Appreciate your concern.

Xperia Z2 Dual recovery (NUT) : questions
Good morning,
I have a new Xperia Z2, and I want to change my recovery and root my phone.
I have few questions on this recovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785598).
1/ With a bootloader locked, it is possible to add a recovery like TWRP. So, is it a risk with this action on the DRM ? (I think that no but the bootloader stay locked but i prefer to ask)
2/ I don't see a firmware compatibility, I have a .304 firmware, it is compatabile ?
3/ When I install with dual recovery on my phone, I can root like any phone since recovery ?
4/ With this dual recovery (or whit root), i can install the ota update or not ?
Thank you for the time spent to reading me,
Have a nice day,
After encrypting phone (enable encryption from Settings -> Security menu), I can't make nandroid backups. Using custom ROM (AICP). Does anyone have this working?
I installed XZDualRecovery, but CWM doesn't seem to support encryption, and TWRP (2.7.x) fails to decrypt the partition.
I tried to install TWRP 2.8.0.1, but after copying to the FOTAKernel partition, can't boot into the recovery. LED turns orange, USB disconnects, and screen stays black.
i try unrooted way on 4.4.4 and didnt work .i try flashtools eroot vroot tower root and so goes on ......
can u release update so we can install recovery and root in locked bootloader??
in our forum every one is waiting for root 4.4.4!!!!!
Hi guys ..is there a flashable zip to change my current recovery to this one?and does this recovery show my sdcard ?

Oh yes!!! thank you Sir!!!
Not working on z2 4.4.4
is there anyother way to flash recovery in z2 4.4.4
Hello,
I have the same error in Twrp: failed to decrypt data.
On my Xperia Z with 4.4.4 and same Twrp version (2.7.1.0 I believe) decryption of data works.
So I guess it has to do with the specific version for the Z2?
I have no idea how to fix this. Any suggestions?

Is it safe to update via ota even i have custom recovery installed? And im trying to remove the recover but there is no charge file to delete
can i use philz touch to flash a new rom in my m919 s4?
can i use philz touch to flash a new rom in my m919 s4? please reply thanks in advance
Hi,
i rooted my stock 4.4.2 and made a CWM / Philz backup.
When the official Update came out, i flashed this prerooted 4.4.4 ROM
Includung the 5) fix and the deodex patch.
Now that the battery drain is too high for me, i want to restore my old backup from 4.4.2
But the recovery can't find any files.
+ I already tried to copy the backup to /data/media/clockworkmod/backup/
+ And i also tried to delete the nandroid.md5
+ And i unchecked the "check md5" box in philz settings

SD card issues
I hope my question is not unrelated but I started experiencing some problems after installing the dual recovery:
1)I had a 4.4.4 stock ROM, unlocked bootloader, tried some flashing via flashtool, got bootloop, successfully flashed 4.4.2 via flashtool and installed this dual recovery
2)After installing I saw the SONY logo for about 30 seconds, considered it „stuck“ and powered off (power+UP)
3)NEW ISSUE: Then I found out that the booting only „takes ages“ (about 1 minute to enter recovery) which does not happen when I take my SD card out – everything is fast then. As far as I read a full wipe before installing a new ROM should solve it (I want to install rooted 4.4.4 stock zip including the dual recovery).
4)OLD ISSUE: Copying anything from PC to SD card inserted in phone via USB is unusable, takes eons. SD card in card reader works well. Copying to the internal storage from PC works well, too.
5)ISSUE: When I copy a ZIP onto the SD card inserted in my computer, put it back into Z2, wait the mentioned minute for booting into recovery and try to install the zip, the file is not there. I tried it several times, used different folders but the phone always finds and deletes the file before entering the recovery.
EDIT: Now, this is strange and it seems it is not related to the phone - when copy the filed via cardreader, remove the card and insert it again into the cardreader, the files are gone...
I would really appreciate any tips/hints/links. Thanks in advance for your time.
EDIT: So the problem was a bad sector on the SD (TestDisk reported...), the SD claiming itself to be write protected... I will ask for a replacement. With my old 16 GB card everything is smooth...

Need firmware for tablet 11.6 Inch Screen, Dual sim MT6580 with 4GB/64GB

Hi
Need firmware/stock ROM for an unbranded tablet. Tablet got broken and it is a blank screen now and it is not booting, Trying to rebuild and fix the issue for this tablet. I bought this tablet through WISH. unable to get the firmware from the seller. Please help.
Model: KT107
Android Version: 6.0
Android Security patch level: 2016-01-01
Baseband version: MOLY.WR8.W1449.MD.WG.MP.V23, 2016/06/17 13:38
Kernel version: 3.10.72+ [email protected] #1
Build number: KT107_V01
Custom build version: KT107_MID-2017
Ram: 4GB

It is an unbranded tablet with 11.6 Inch screen, with a dual sim card. I think Chipset is MT6580.
Maybe wiping user data can help?

I have a similar tablet, and accidentally softbricked it by doing fastboot oem unlock (I think...). In my case though, the screen did not stay black, but the Android Logo showed forever, and the user's screen never appeared.
What got it working again was locking it again using fastboot oem lock and then wiping user data.
Proceed as follows:
1. Make sure tablet is off
2. Press power and Volume down simultaneously
3. Hold "Volume down", until you see the factory menu
4. Use "Volume down" to navigate to "Clear eMMC"
5. Use power button to select.
However, if you find replacement firmware somewhere, I'd be interested too, as mine was sold with an Android Lollipop 5.1 doctored to look like 7.0. I think I should be able to at least get Android 6.0 for this tablet.
After the reset bootloop, I need this flash file for me.
Please could you help?

Please I have the same kind of device but mine is stuck on a guest user account and my notification, Developer options and a lot of stuff doesn't work.
Please I would be so grateful if you could dump your stock ROM for me so I could flash mine. Please bro, i have searched everywhere for the ROM but without success until I stumbled on this thread.
***Beware, not all KT107 are compatible with each others, make a backup first if you can and use at your own risk***

I opened the casing of my tablet, here are the models number written on the mainboard:

I have a full TWRP backup and the stock images files from a functional tablet with the same device number. My device was working but here's what I did:
1: Root with KingoRoot
KingoRoot: https://www.kingoapp.com/
2: Install Flashify
Flashify : https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...shify&hl=en_US
3: Download this TWRP build :
TWRP : https://mega.nz/#!27QUFQ5J!nj5WNmD8yMTULrS2lc90bk1qWhRs-xY6b_ou229BgYM
4: Install the TWRP image to recovery with flashify
5: Reboot to recovery ( on my device I hold "vol up" + "pwr" to get to the bootloader menu, then choose recovery)
6: Copy the stock twrp backup to your device and restore
Stock TWRP backup : https://mega.nz/#F!jJ83Fabb!raIOtZSsqyMboVbb_5sDVQ
***You won't be able to use this backup without TWRP installed***
If you need the stock img to try to restore from fastboot I have those too:

Thanks a lot Fueg, you have no idea how much I appreciate your sending these files, though I am yet to Flash them.
Please as I understand, the spflash tool requires the scatter file to be able to flash a ROM. Please could you make a scatter file for the phone too? I could have used fastboot to flash but my bootloader is not unlocked and I don't have access to my developer options to enable me unlock it neither could I install any apps on my phone as it is stuck in guest user mode.
I am just a novice in this stuff but if you have any other ways I could flash the ROM without needing a scatter file please could you tell me please?
Thanks you very again!!!
EDIT: Please all the links to the files are not working. It's asking for a decryption key saying the provided key is invalid and I should ask the link creator for the decryption keys. Please check and rectify.
Could you also share me your build.prop file for your phone as well for comparison with mine just to be sure I have similar specs.

I updated the download links in my previous post it should hopefully work now.
If you need to flash a version that you can flash with SP Flash Tool I found one that works (everything works but my display is flipped 180 degree, that's an easy fix). I will add a link for it in my previous post with all the other files.
I don't have access to the buil.prop file right now but it is pretty much useless to check the tablet specs anyway because the chinese changed all they can to make it look better than it is :
Reported CPU: MT 6580 : 8 core # 2.5 Ghz
Real CPU: MT 6580 : 4 core # 1.3Ghz
Reported Storage : 64Gb
Real Storage : 16Gb (about 12Gb available)
Reported RAM : 4Gb
Real RAM : 1Gb
Reported Android Version : 6.0
Real Android Version : 5.1
The ROM for SP Flash Tool mostly fixes the fake infos except the Android version, it still reports Android 6.0 when in reality it is Android 5.1

Thank you so very much Fueg, but please so sorry for being so disturbing but the download link for the TWRP build still don't work. All the others now work except the Link for only the custom TWRP recovery build which is the third Link counting from the top. I really need that custom TWRP recovery because the stock recovery is lame.
Please if you could just correct that too, I would finally get out of your hair hopefully!
Thanks again my friend.
EDIT: Please also add the link for the display 180 degree flipped fix you mentioned, I couldn't find it.
Thanks again for your assistance.

No problem, I added the twrp img as attachment below. For the orientation fix you just have to change a line in build.prop
Look for the line "ro.sf.hwrotation=180"
Change it for "ro.sf.hwrotation=0" if your display is rotated 180 degrees
The first twrp works wit the first "stock" files and with the twrp backup, if you use the SP Flash Tools files you will need the second twrp
Please help, I just ran into serious trouble

Hi Fueg it's me again, please I need to pick your brain a little bit more.
So I tried flashing the ROM you shared using spflash tool using the "Download only option" but it kept giving me a not enough space errors. So I searched around the net and I found a lot of people saying using the "Format all+Download" options solved the not enough space errors, then I chose that option.
The ROM downloaded alright and I could hear the phone boot to home screen, and pressing the volume keys makes the normal sounds but the screen is filled with black and white colored strips or just blank.
I think maybe the formatting whipped the LCD screen drivers but shouldn't it have worked since I know the ROM was ok? I also thought the LCD screen driver is contained inside the ROM ? Is it not?
Please can this be remedied or is the phone finally dead?
Please help me with some suggestions or a fix in any way you can I would really appreciate. Thank you very much.

Do you know the exact brand and model you have? There is a lot of variation under the name KT107 and they are not all compatible with each others. If you really want to be sure you can try to open the device and check the number written on the pcb, mine was on a sticker on the main board. If you are willing to do that send me the information and I can try to find a suitable ROM.
Did you make a backup of you device in SP Flash Tools before you flash the ROM, if you did you can try to restore it...
You can also try this firmware:
https://yadi.sk/d/Gis_kl1y3UjJQC
It's a ROM for another KT107 variant...
Thanks Fueg, this is the information you requested

No I couldn't make any backup at all because I was stuck in guest user mode on the phone, so developer options wasn't available to me and MTKdroid tools could not detect the tablet.
Below are all the information I could get about the device. Thank you so very much for all your patience and assistance.

No I couldn't make any backup at all because I was stuck in guest user mode on the phone, so developer options wasn't available to me and MTKdroid tools could not detect the tablet.
Below are all the information I could get about the device. Thank you so very much for all your patience and assistance.

or this one

you can also try those:

(start with those that have a similar name)
you might have trouble with the display (black screen) with any of those firmware, I have not been able to find an exact match...
Anyway if you keep trying different firmware chances are that you will eventually find one that is compatible with your device (in my case I had to try about 10 and the one that works was not an exact match but it still works 100%)

The display drivers are indeed contained within the ROM. Apparently your display is not the same then the one I have. If you have a backup of your previous firmware you can look for a tutorial on haw to extract the files you need (inside boot.img and system.img), and another tutorial on how to port ROM for mediatek 6580.
If you don't have a backup you will have to try to find a ROM with the display working to have the drivers you need ..
flashing twrp
hello fueg
thank you for your efforts
well i need to flash twrp file but i could not root my tablet. this give me one option ;to use sp flash tool. my questions to you
1- i review the scatter file you submitted and compare it to the one i see when i connect my device; there are many differences in start address and size; so which one i should use?
2- since iam flashing only the twrp file in recovery.img section; do i need to includes other sections in the scatter file?
