Applications automatically close themselves - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi -
Since I updated to 2.1 some applications just close themselves automatically... sometimes within a couple of seconds of opening themselves, like the messaging applciation. This means I ahve to try several times before I can get it to stay open.
I had this fault occur randomly on a DIFFERENT x10 before 2.1 too so I'm guessing it's fairly common?
Does anyone know how to fix it as it's really annoying!
THanks

gps crashes phone, problems logging crash

Thank you for reading. I feel really stuck and though I've tried cannot solve this on my own.
The Problem:
When my phone crashes, the logcat apps that are happily recording the events get force closed along with it, and the buffer is lost forever. I seemingly have no way of recording the actual crash event so that I can research the problem.
Possible Solutions, Unfounded:
So I guess what I need is a logcat app that writes the events to file as it's reading (none seem to offer this, only saves manually) or a way to read the internal log after the crash occurs.
Crash Description:
When it crashes, I get a few short successive vibrations, then a lot of lag between a few seconds to a minute, then (if I'm lucky) the screen goes black for a few seconds and then a sort of an instant reboot occurs where I am at the home screen and all the widgets/icons are loading again and all the programs running a moment ago are not open, and any programs normally loading on a startup will start. It always will say the Sim Card has been removed and I must reboot. I lose contacts but not network. Sometimes the phone just freezes without going black and the fast reboot occurs after some minutes or not at all.
Background on what causes the Crash:
As you know, the GPS on the Fascinate and other Galaxy S models have serious issues with accuracy. I have tweaked the internal settings (*#*#3214789650#*#*) myself, without modifying system files (I dont think I ended up going that far) in order to produce better results. I did this months ago and havent changed it since.
The tweaks did not perfect it, so for some apps where accuracy is crucial I temporarily use an app called FakeGPS, which allows me to manually set my location while the app is running. It worked fine. After I updated about 12 apps at once, FakeGPS included, now whenever I run that application the phone crashes as described above.
At first I thought it was just the new version of the App, so I tried a different one that did the same thing. But it also crashes in the same way. I reinstalled both, still crashes.
I am using firmware 2.2. My phone is rooted. I'd be happy to answer any questions.
Really appreciate even just a point in the right direction.. I wouldnt be afraid to poke around the filesystem if need be.
Thank you!

Keyboard bug

Hi im not sure if this is a problem with the phone (im guessing not) I have a problem with the keyboard randomly closing down and i have to tap the area where the words appear quite a few times for it to appear again, even then it sometimes closes back down again, it gets worse and worse until i have to restart, I think its a bug with the Rom (SuperNexus) i am using maybe but i never used Stock so im not sure, is anyone else having the same problem?

[Q] Android.process.acore help!

i know a couple other devices have been having similar problems but none of them that I've seen work for the viewsonic gtab. What's happening is that the program "android.process.acore" stops responding and it just says to force close it. It seems fine for about maybe 10 seconds at a time, and then it happens repeatedly. What is also happening is that the device is not allowing me to open the keyboard. Otherwise it pretty normal. I've had it for about 4 years and this is the first time it does this. I would like to try to fix this without using a factory reset.

[Q] Galaxy S3 I9300 - started freezing randomly but screen plays animation

Hey guys. My S3 started freezing randomly a few days ago. What happens is that I will be playing with it and then it will literary become unresponsive along with the hardware buttons except the power button. The weird thing is that the animation on the screen is still active: say I was writing a text and the little blinking bar keeps blinking as if nothing is wrong but the phone is simply unresponsive.
I did a factory reset and it is still happening.
Anyone have any idea what the heck is happening? Is it hardware or software related?
Have a read of the freezing thread in general forum, sounds like the operating system is dealing with bad memory blocks.
Well, same thing happens to me, i looked up on that tread about bad memory blocks: well i even tested the memory and works fine, no bad memory sectors, my hardware power button responds to restart (no need to pull out battery). When it does freeze it doesn't unfreeze at all after some time ( i once let it unfreeze for entire night on charger and it stood on the same screen after 8+ hours). I even reinstalled a different software (JB 4.1.3 Darky edition) and it freezes very rarely now but when it does, it's still same kind of freeze. When it freezes it freezes mostly on Twitter app but sometimes random app. I don't know now is it really a faulty memory or just software bugs... btw dummy file didn't freeze my phone (to be clear) after i reinstalled the software, but did it before on old one
Help! Galaxy's freezing!
Hello,
I have exactly the same problem, when phone freezes nothing works except power button, when pressing it about 10 seconds, the phone reboots. I have exactly the same model (GT-I9300), but Lithuanian. The freezing lasts from 10 minutes to an infinite time. All the freezing started about three weeks ago, when google play started updating iron man game. I tried dummy file geterator, the phone hasnt freezed at all, but the phone freezes randomly when opening internet, other apps or just anytime, even when phone is on stand by. I tried flashing DarkyRom 4.1.2 XXEMB1, but the phone started freezing even more, then i recovered from the Nandroid backup, and the phone is now freezing not so frequently, about 1 freeze in 2-3 days, but it still freezes, and i also have a strange "Process com.google.process.gapps has stopped working" problem. I tried every solution to this problem, but none of them works. Also, i think it is somehow connected to the freezes, because after those messages phone freezes sometimes. I dont know how to solve these super annoying problems, because i tried nearly everything, and nothing works. I think this might be a hardware issue, and that i should buy a new phone. If you know somehing, help me!

Keyboard intermittently not working on Desire VC

Sorry if posting in the wrong forum, I cannot find a forum dedicated to the Desire VC but I think it is quite similar in any case.
My girlfriend's phone is exhibiting an extremely frustrating problem wherein the keyboard doesn't respond to presses. Occasionally it starts working again for a short time then simply stops again in the middle of typing a message. The problem is present across multiple applications, including "People", "Messages", "WhatsApp" etc - I presume anywhere where the keyboard is used.
Closing and restarting the app doesn't work. Sometimes just waiting for a few minutes will see the keyboard working again. More often than not the problem persists even overnight, but then will just suddenly "go away" and the keyboard suddenly works again.
Everything else works but is slow.
It seems the problems started after an update about a week ago.
The software is Android version 4.0.3 and HTC 4
Any suggestions?

Same problem I was facing a month back. Changed the phone.
