That is what it looks like on our phones.
If you want to change it, you would have to edit the android.policy.jar in system/framework
Can you do me a favor and test your alarm clock?
Set it for about 5 minutes out and allow the screen to go to sleep...
I did this along time ago with a sense rom on my HD2 and it didnt play nice with the alarm clock...I was quite furious when my alarm went off in the morning and there was no way to turn it off or snooze it. I ended up having to pull the battery...From the forum post at the time, it seemed that a lot of people deleting this file were encountering similar issues.
As an alternative...I am using Widget locker to acheive the stock sliders on the lock screen and it works flawless.

I believe to use the stock lockscreen you need to use a stock clock to use the alarm

Yeah that's a bummer..
I love widgetlocker except for the notification panel, its either there and accessible (which I can't stand) or invisible altogether...why can't it just be there like every other lockscreen?

Problem here, getting read only file error when trying to delete the apk. Not seeing any odex of the file either. Have root, S-OFF. Thanks.
I'm running Iced Glacier 1.1 on my MT4G and I don't see the HTCLockscreen.odex file in /system/app/. Any idea why that might not be there?

There's no odex file on mytouch4g just delete HTCLockScreen.apk

I was able to just delete the file, reboot the phone, but after it came back online it was a transparent lock screen and I still had to swipe (Swiper no swiping, meh) the screen to get the pattern unlock screen. So, I wanted to revert back to what it previously was. I moved the file back into the /system/app/ directory, rebooted the phone, and it's not back to what it was. Tried installing that APK file and it wouldn't install. How do I fully reverse this change? Perform a nandroid restore?

Use the file that is in the OP..
You have to flash that with clockwork, it sets the perms right.
for those having issues deleting the .apks, you have to mount the /system folder first.
Is there anyway to turn off the alarm when turn on? On the original lockscreen you just swipe downward to turn off the alarm

I believe we need to change which version of the sdk the build.prop references. I took a quick look at the file last night buit was too tired from work to try and find it in notepad. It should look like "ro.version.build.sdk". I'll look for it tonight, change it and see what hasppens.

I bring to you the first ever (to my knowledge) transparent Android analog clock.
Yes, you must be rooted to use this clock and must have ROOT EXPLORER installed on your phone.
If any dev would like to attach this clock with their rom then feel free. All I ask is to please give credit where credit is do.
Instructions:
1. Install ROOT EXPLORER and the DeskClock.apk to your phone.
2. Open ROOT EXPLORER and scroll down to the SYSTEM file then click on it.
3. Once the SYSTEM file is clicked on click scroll to the APP folder and do the same (click on it!).
4. Search for DESKCLOCK.apk and delete it!
5. Back all the way out of ROOT EXPLORER and now search for the DESKCLOCK.apk file. Most likely if you downloaded the file straight from your phone it will be located in the DOWNLOADS folder.
6. Once you've located the DESKCLOCK.apk file long press on it and select MOVE (to move the file).
7. You will now repeat steps 2 and 3.
8. Click MOVE and drop the DESKCLOCK.apk file into the APP folder.
9. Long press on the DESKCLOCK.apk file and select PERMISSIONS. (If a warning box pop up then click ok and select the MOUNT R/W tab located on the top right corner of your phones screen). MOUNT R/W tab should then switch to MOUNT R/O.
10. Once in PERMISSIONS make sure the USER check box has READ and WRITE CHECKED (If EXCUTE is checked please uncheck it).
11. Make sure the GROUP and OTHERS check box both only have READ checked and nothing else.
12. Reboot your phone! You now have a tranparent Android analog clock. Yay!
TO MY KNOWLEDGE THIS CLOCK WIDGET WILL NOT WORK ON ANYTHING, BUT AOSP AND CM7 (EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T TRIED IT ON CM7 YET) BASED ROMS.
ALTHOUGH THIS CLOCK WAS MADE FOR THE myTouch 4g IT SHOULD WORK FOR ANY AOSP OR CM7 BASED ROM ON ANY PHONE!
If anyone has used my clock then feel free to leave feedback. I would like to hear both good or bad feedback.
I am most likely going to release a nicely themed version of this clock either tonight or tomorrow. I think every and anyone will love the next release.

Ok, if you want to get technical then none of us have the first ever transparent clock cause there are tons of transparent clocks floating around, but none of them are the stock look with transparency. My clock is the first and possibly the only true stock clock with transparency.
Idk why you bring this up in the first place. You never gave me credit for my idea on the clock you created for THE BEAST and I didn't say a word.

Yes, mine is work after modified build.prop as follows:

Yeah, tried flashing your file. Same result, I get a successful flash message. But when I go into the app drawer, the same gallery and camera apks are still there. I checked with titanium backup to see if I was missing the file and nothing. Same result in the system/apps.
I had to rename my camera.apk which was in my data folder and rename my gallery.apk in my system folder. I just rename them with *.back so I can restore later. Then flash and reboot.
So far working pretty well, sphere pics get a little screwy due to the gyro being a bit unstable. I like being able to take pics so fast like my wife's GNEX.

Weird. I'm on the same Rom as yours. Also, I have flash at least 4 version of the app since yesterday and they're all works. The file I've provided is the latest from Android Police which doesn't required a modified build.prop
After flash, you will not see any new app in app drawer or Titanium. You need to go into system/app, then delete or change the Gallery apk to Gallery.bak. There will be two Gallery in your system/app folder, one is Gallery apk and the other is GalleryGoogle - keep the GalleryGoogle and delete the Gallery apk. Reboot and check your app drawer, there will be 2 camera app in there with two different icon
HAHA! It worked! Thank you so much!!
this looks so cool, i saw my cousin playing with it on his S3 yesterday when he came by, i cant wait to flash a properly working Rom and try it out,

Photosphere is working, in that it doesn't cause FC's and doesn't say device not supported. The problem is that it needs a gyroscope which the vibrant doesn't have. The link also has 4.2 keyboard with gestures (swype).
All of the zips are flashable. Make sure to rename gallery.apk or googlegallery.apk to .bak or delete it so the updated apk will work.
For the keyboard, rename or delete latinIme.apk to .bak
There is also a DL link for the new clock. You might need to delete the old clock first but don't quote me on that. Its pretty cool but the alarm keeps causing the app to force close on me.

First if all, the old clock has stop watch and timer, swype from right to left in clock ui and you will see it. Also the 4.2 clock alarm won't work with the original alarm enabled. Rename the original clock in system/app to clock.bak and then the new clock alarms will work.

Your /system partition is full. Delete some system apps or use a ROM that has extra space in that partition. I am using PA and have plenty of extra space in /system. If you switch ROMs and are not on the same partition layout it will automatically wipe data

Do a system format next time you flash as well. I haven't used remics JB other than a brief look but I'm surprised you don't have space in /system.

I am looking for a transparent or semi transparent lockscreen. Mainly I want the notification panel (weather, calls, sms, email) that is gray to be lighter or invisible.
I want to stay unrooted and continue to use the Sense UI so don't want aftermarket lockscreen like Widget Locker. I want to keep the same functionality of having the notifications show up on the lockscreen which cannot be done on WL. It would have to be an APK.
Thanks ahead of time.

That would work fine. Is that something modified through rooting or APK?

That would be great. Not sure what you mean about post or flash. Apk gets installed or do I need to replace in system folder? Not sure how to do that without root. Does ABD work without root?

It's a system app you'll be replacing so you'll most likely need root

That is what I thought. I am a recovering flashaholic. Not planning on rooting the DNA. Flashed hundreds of times for past 6 years. It never ends! thanks anyways.

The music is always semi transparent but the notification panel (weather, sms, call, email) is solid gray.
you'll need to edit the m10 files of the fusion apk, which is in system/app. basically you'll have to go through and edit the gray images in the default folder in Photoshop to be transparent. I like black though, so personally I just switched mine out with those in the matte folder, which are used for the stock matte skin. I can confirm this works, I did it using virtuous 10 studio, but unfortunately you need root.

Thanks for some help. Let me ask, can I edit a skin(apk) like Clear 131 to remove the dark gray background that appears behind the notifications on the lockscreen. When you move the weather towards the circle, there is a dark gray panel that remains. I want to get rid of that behind all notifications. If I modifiy the apk then I should be able to install without root. Problem is I don't know what files they are and if they are all contained in the Clear 131.apk. I renamed to zip and then extracted so I see a bunch of photos under drawable 480dpi. Can you tell me which one of these is it? Thanks.

you can theme all of this transparent in the skin if you have virtuous10 tools. I don't remember what images are which, but I'm sure the guys in 420 skin thread will help you out
