Hey,
i can't startup my contacts anymore, always get an error:
"Sorry! the application Contacts (process com.sonyericsson.contacts) has stopped working." I would prefer to try to push it manually than to reinstall, reroot,... everything...
is there somebody that can help me?

hi there fellas.. i was trying to get the themed version of my dialer but it ended up screwing it up, and now everytime i try to open my dialer, it FC's :/ i didnt even make a backup of the original contacts.apk.. so can someone be kind enough to post the stock contacts.apk

Here you go matey. I've zipped the apk and odex for you. I assume you know, but I'll say just in case, not to install the apk - you need to put it in system\apps and restart.

Edit: could you please erm upload phone.apk too, coz somehow those two are associated.. just by getting the contacts.apk is doing the job..

Hi to everybody,
I just bought a P500 and started to work on my own modification.
I already rooted the phone and installed a custom ROM (GB).
Before this one I got a Huawei Ideos 8150 (froyo); the contacts application of this phone provide native management of the contacts groups allowing to set ringtones, send group messages and so on.
As you know this functionality is missing in P500, so I would like to know if it's possibile to use the apks from my previous phone.
I already tried to simply install the ContactsProvider (I deleted the apks from the rom before installing it) using adb but I get this error:
INSTALL_FAILED_SHARED_USER_INCOMPATIBLE
I tried to follow these instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111476
but after that when I launch phone or contact it says that the application is not installed....
Is there any way that I can make that contacts manager working on P500?
I know there are many other contacts manager on the market but this is not the question...

Could u provide(attach) the apk u are trying to install? I will try some Modding

Hi all, I have a problem with apkmanager. When I decompile then compile and sign an apk (like now Settings.apk) all works fine but when I put the file in the phone it doesn't work
And it does not install, it says: "Application not installed"
Why this?

+1 on this but please specify of what kind of rom (AOSP or htc/sammy/etc) you want to change the Settings.apk

Hi Luca, I'm on Linux and I want to modify the Settings.apk of an AOSP ROM for Galaxy S2 (based on android 4.0.4 IMM76D)
im trying to change the icon of go sms pro v4.50 but everytime i try to install it. it says "application not installed"
ive already tried many methods (apk edit,apk manager,extracted and replace, etc...) but its not working.
im trying to replace the icon w/ the attachment below

Tried with my HTC evo 4g lte and got the same msg. I also wish to change the icon to fit my screen theme color.
As apk files are compressed files, can't just a small program be written to do that for us? Or can we replace sth in there? Can somebody please provide a tutorial?

Try uninstalling go sms first then install the other file.
I don't really know what caused this problem, but whenever I want to change theme it says "Unfortunately theme manager has stopped".
I have an Xperia U running stock 6.1.1.B.1.54 firmware. Maybe somehow the thememanager.apk got corrupted or something, but that's only a guess. I'd be really grateful if someone could help. Suggest a solution or post a working thememanager,apk from your phone so I could try it.

Try to force stop Theme Manager at Settings>Apps>All
Do you install any themes?
