I recently flashed 2.1 GLOBAL to my X10a and re-rooted (I had rooted 1.6 before) using your (quite user friendly) tools. Everything seems to be working fine except the mobile internet. I can use wireless internet, but it won't connect to 3g or edge or anything. I'm on AT&T. Data traffic is on in the settings.
Any suggestions?
Did you install the settings?
I don't remember any installing settings step. What settings are these and how would I install them?

If you do a search for rogers apn settings you would probably run into this, the auto settings only work for browsing and nothing else

How do you specify which one is for which. I mean after you go to add APN you fill it out and that's it, there is no option to specify which what it would be used for.

I have CM 7 on my Aria. Recently I tried an app from market that claimed to prolong battery life (stupid, i know!). Within few hours I realized that it drained my battery even faster, so I uninstalled it. Ever since, I am unable to use network data (wifi works fine). I did check under "Wireless and networks" and network data is enabled.
I'd appreciate any help.

Sometimes just rebooting helps. I would disable wi-fi and enable network data from settings. Then reboot and see if it helps.
I think you must define anew Access point manually under wireless/mobile networks/Access point name, first of all you must refer to your network provider to give you the configurations.

Tried rebooting.. That doesn't help.
I think the problem is access point settings. Can someone on AT&T be kind enough to give me the settings. Here is what I need:
Setting > Wireless and networks > Mobile networks> Access point names> ATT:
Name:
APN:
Proxy:
Port:
Username:
Password:
Server:
MMS proxy:
MMS port:
MMC:
MNC:
Authentication type:
APN type:
APN protocol:
Never mind, I googled it and that did the trick. Just in case anyone else is looking for same, here is what worked for me:
Name: AT&T
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: leave blank
Port: leave blank
Username:[email protected]
Password:CINGULAR1
Server: leave blank
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC:310
MNC:410
APN Type: leave blank
APN protocol: IPv4
I think the setting is good. I just reinstalled Google Voice from the Market. Everything works.
I'm using ATT prepaid now. I just flashed CM7.
I used the following setting on the stock rom, it worked great!
Name: AT&T
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Username:[email protected]
Password:CINGULAR1
Server: leave blank
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.32
mms protocol: wap 2.0
MMS Port: 80
MCC:310
MNC:410
APN Type: leave blank
Most of time, I use google voice to txt. I have no problem using internet explorer on the phone to surf with the above setting on CM7, but I couldn't send out txt thru google voice.
I double checked the apn setting, everything was same as I put it on stock rom, besides "authentication type" and "APN protocol". I don't know what value should I set.
Name - anything
apn - wap.cingular
proxy - wireless.cingular.com
port - 80
username - blank
password - blank
server - blank
mmsc - http://mmsc.cinuglar.com
mms proxy - wireless.cingular.com
mms port - 80
mcc - 310
mnc - 410
auth type - blank
apn type - intern+mms+supl
This is what I use and I have good speeds and no internet problems. With google voice and text if I only have a bar or if im on edge it wont go through alot of times and ill just wait till i have a lil better service. I dont know if this due to service or the settings but I have experienced similar issues but only in low data settings.
Hope this helps
Hi!
For some reason, default APN settings are not working to everyone, so, I decided to publish the settings in this section, where most of complains/requests are.
First Check if you settings are this way. If not, do that:
1. Create new Access Point Name and call it Tether(it can be any name)
2. Goto Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks >Access Point Names > Press left icon and select 'New APN'
3. Set this:
Let others fields empty and set this APN:
Name: Tether
APN: isp.apn
MCC: 302
MNC: 720
APN type: dun
4. Save the settings.
5. Enjoy!
Let me know if worked. If so, it may help more people if become a sticky thread, so, rate the thread and recommend it. :good:
The purpose of this thread is to provide useful and reliable information I gathered on internet, if it do not work and you found a way to run it, let me know so I can change the OP and share your findings.
Cheers
Here are the APN settings that are working for me. There are 3 different one that I have running.

#3 Tethering
Name: Rogers Tethering
APN: isp.apn

All other values should be left blank/not set/ unspecified.
I have used the tethering apn and confirmed that it works for Wireless and Wired tethering using the stock Tethering and Mobile Hotspot feature from the Settings menu. These were tested on the newest RetailBR ICS leak from the development section found by pedrotorresfilho.
I have found these through various searches on Google and tested what works for me. Credits to the original posters and websites.

Pedro,
Are you using a GSM network or a CDMA network? I'll bet it's GSM, since you're not in the USA. On a CDMA network (such as Verizon) there seems to be no APN to edit. At least on my phone, the options for APN and Network Operator are greyed out. Any suggestions?
I wanted to post this information in case anyone else runs into the same issue. I have a SM-G900T that was from T-Mobile which was unlocked and has been running on the Telus network. Currently running Android OS 6.0.1 (Marshmellow) using the Area 51 ROM huge thanks to malbert16442 for his work!
The issue is: voice, data and text messaging was working just fine, however I could not receive or send MMS messages. I found that the problem was both the APN list within the ROM as well as Telus's own APN settings did not work.
The solution was to clear the "APN Type" field!
Here's the APN settings I am currently using:
Name: TELUS (name is irrelevant)
APN: sp.telus.com
Proxy server: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: (won't let me post the MMSC value, but its the generic Telus HTTP URL)
Proxy server: 74.49.0.18
Port: 80
MCC:302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: None
APN type: Not set
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified
Mobile virtual network operator type: GID
Mobile virtual network operator value: 5455
Will this work/apply to the Cricket Wireless Network? i have the same exact problem, only I AM able to receive MMS, but not send it.
