background data and sync apk? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hi, does anyone know what is the name of the apk that does the background and data sync?
I don't remember what I removed but it's gone now.
thanks!

Bump does anyone know?
I tried reinstalling all the sync apks and it didn't come back.
thanks

Maybe the sync apps are installed correct, but they have to be started the first time?

problem syncing folders and files

I just got my ATP last night and have been configuring it to my liking. One challenge I've had is that I can't get it to sync with my skydrive. I've tried FolderSync, but there is some sort of issue that the developer says can't be solved related to LiveMesh (which I use to sync my docs between my computers).
Can someone recommend another app that would work? Or another way I can sync easily?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Problem with calendar sync

I am running a non-rooted Prime with the most recent OTA firmware.
I noticed that my google calendar was no longer syncing. I planned to clear the data in the app manager, and resync it, but I accidentally hit the button to disable the calendar-data app (i realize how stupid this was).
Now, in the account-sync screen, the calendar is listed as "Sync com.android.calendar". It throws error messages and no calendars show up in the stock calendar app.
I tried removing the google account and readding it. It did not work.
Is there a way to restore it? Is there a way to re-run the latest OTA to try to reinstall it?
Please let me know if I need to supply any further information.
Sorry if I sound like a total noob! I really hope I didn't ruin my Prime.
I appreciate any assistance!!

I figured it out
I solved my own problem, and decided to post it here just in case anyone else runs into this in the future...
I ran backups of the tablet, then did a complete factory restore.
This solved all the calendar issues and errors I was having.
thanks!

No need to restore - I have fiddle about the calendar settings - remove callendar sync from options (account and sync- google account) and go to calendar app then remove the calendars manually from settings. Once done simply add sync and callendars again - i would recommend reboot before doing so but worked without on mine (ICS 4.0.3 .21 not rooted)
Saves you time
My calender sync still works fine, no problems after the last update. Non-rooted.

[Q] Receiving "Sync is currently experiencing problems"

Hi guys,
I just noticed recently that my DNA is giving me this error under accounts and sync. It seems like this may be a wide spread issue for all types of Android phones, but I was wondering if anyone else was seeing this. The strange this is that it looks like everything is synced properly, and even when I drill down into the actual items that are syncing, there are no errors. I'm not sure if it is the rom that I am on (UKB), but I would really like to clear it up if possible. I have tried deleting the data in Apps for the various items listed, but this does not seem to help. I even booted into recovery and cleared the cache, to no avail.
Thanks guys,
Steve
Alright, I just did a full wipe, installed UKB 1.3 with Cubed stock kernel, and I am still getting that sync error. Is anyone else seeing this?
I have had this issue on CODIS, UKB and the battery plus ROM
It syncs everything fine, but it does show a red sync icon and say its experiencing problems. I've just learned to deal with it as everything still works fine.
--removing and re-adding my google account does nothing
--unchecking each option (calendar, contacts, gmail etc.) one by one to see if a particular causes the problem,...does nothing to help
Just wanted to letyou know you are not the only one with the issue.
I'm having the issue where the gmail app syncs fine but if I read/delete emails and go back to my computer, all the changes I did on my phone didn't sync with my computer browser. Anyone know how to fix that?

I had that issue. Uninstalling and reinstalling gmail app from the market fixed it for me.

Ah, thanks for the replies guys. At least I'm not the only one . At least it's not in your face screaming at you, so I can learn to ignore it.
I'm having the sync issues myself, and I'm even on full stock ROM. Just wanted to let you know. My account is on two-step authentication - are other people also using two-step? Common denominator?

I believe that is the problem. I had an error in Google Internet sync. I fixed it by going to Google dashboard on my computer and clicking "Websites authorized to access the account." Go down to Application Specific Passwords.
Install the Google Authenticator on the DNA. Then register it by generating a new application specific 12 digit password. The Authenticator app will then generate the six digit codes you'll need when asked to be able to sync your bookmarks in the browser or sign in the Google search homepage. Anyway it worked for me.
For me it was Facebook calendar that couldn't sync. I unchecked it and the error went away. It looks like it can be any part of any of your accounts that will trigger that message. If you go into each one, it will show which one is having the problem.

Google Sync Issues

Anybody got issues with contacts not syncing? Is it a T-Mobile issue?
Do you have Emoji's in your contacts Name fields? That would be the #1 cause. Remove them and it will sync.
Thanks for the help. One more question why is there a limit to deleting contacts on the Google account? Showed a warning but doesn't seem to be a problem now.

No idea, deleting them is faster on contacts.google.com

Google Calendar not syncing?

I just noticed that my Google Calendar isn't syncing with my phone. It isn't even available as an option in the account sync menu!
I tried removing the account and re-adding it, but that didn't help. Does anyone else have this issue, or any other things to try?
My edge is rooted with stock recovery flashed.
Hey I have the same problem on the fully stock non-rooted non-Edge. Have you found a fix?
First of all, sorry for my English.
Have you disable the application: Calendar storage?
Yes I did, I thought it was a Samsung bloatware.
Enabled Calendar Storage and now Google Calendar is syncing.
Thanks!
