Unfortunately not. I also have a Mac. Thank God I have a pc also. I suggest you pick up a pc if you continue to flash roms or use majority of the programs that are mentioned on XDA.

no, there are no roms available at this time. Bootloader is not cracked
Ok, but is there such thing as that or is it absolutely necessary to have a pc.

Magents Joking...
Do you have it partitioned or anything?
Flashing to sombionix's JK6 fixes that problem for me.

Not that I know of, it was working fine before and all of a sudden today it didn't work, but today I flashed the new axura 2.1 so maybe that triggered something. Other that no its not partitioned, atleast I think....

There is an app called z4root that used to be on the market and it might still. You could try that.

z4root doesn't work with the Fascinate anymore... Only way to root is with a PC
I am sure of you have seen this already but chainfire developed and app called mobile Odin, and it pretty much does the same thing Odin does on your desktop but on your phone. Our device isn't supported yet but he said our device is one that it could work on. I have already provided a dump file to him for our device but I think it would be good if more of us i777 owners showed support over in his thread so we can get a compatible version soon. The more interest that is shown, I assume the quicker we can get Support for our phone. Here is the link

For linux and mac you have to use Heimdall but to my knowledge it is not compatible with the Note I717.
Anyone else? Thanks....

Anyone running Linux? Maybe use Odin running in the Wine environment?

Just boot up you're windows partition

Don't have one but may just go ahead and install XP.
Thing is, that's also proving difficult as I don't have an optical drive and I'm having bootmgr issues with the USB bootable I made.

the heimdall version 1.3.1 works with the note.

I thought I read on another post it works with Macs but unfortunately not with Linux/Ubuntu. I use Ubuntu also, so it would be great if it did work.
Don't boot XP man. Your just going to run into compatibility issues.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Heimdall 1.3.2 broke compatibility for several devices. In most case it is recommended that you use version 1.3.1 instead.Version 1.3.1 works for me ( Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise )
Thanks all... will have to do me some learnin' heimdall
