How can I take out the backround color and just leave the words? How can I make words on my homescreen short cuts translucent?

Makes the home screen way more responsive? I turned off my apex labels just for kicks and I no longer have ANY stutter on home screen transitions. Before there was a good half a second lag on initiating the scroll, and lots of stuttering on the transitions.

I posted about this a while ago. I reported it to the apex team and they said they'll look into it. No solution yet as of the last few updates...

I can't get my icon labels to show no matter what i do. Wiped everything before flashed and no issues other than this. If i put them in folders they show.

There's a point where if you set your grid too dense it'll auto hide labels. Try setting your grid to something smaller or increase your dpi in build.prop

i.e. Can I just save a wall paper and it stay as it is when I scroll between different home screen?
I don't want that fancy wallpaper function. I just want the whole picture (I will make sure it's 1280*720) stay on the screen

My phone is completely stock and the wall paper does NOT scroll
Odd. Mine is with omega v7.0, which should be same with stock (in terms of home screen behaviour). If I put a photo as wallpaper from galley, it will crop the photo, leaving a black border on left or right when I switch to other home screens.
All I want is a photo on the screen and it stay the same in all home screens. Any idea?

You can do it with nova launcher in settings - desktop - background scrolling

Just download quickpic from the Play Store.
Choose an image you want to use as wallpaper.
For the resizing-option use Quickpic, not the gallery.
This way it works fine for me
What I mean is is it possible to make the notifications evenly spaced, rather than having them start from the left, so if I'm only using 2 it looks strange? Thank you,

I can't post to the dev group, and have a stupid question. I looked in the dev forum, and couldn't find an answer... how do I get back the ringer icon in the ICS JMOD that our favorite thunderbolt rock stars have out? Specifically looking for the status bar icon for viberate and silent ringer icons. I'm sure it's just something easy I am missing, but just couldn't find it in the other thread.
Thanks

I do t know about the power widget across the top of the notification pane but I know you can set a toggle for it.

I found the problem, just don't know how to fix it. The icon is there, it's just black, so on my home screen, it blends in with the status bar at the top of the screen. Any ideas where to change that color?

Use system settings, interface, status bar, and then it should be at the bottom as status bar color.

See, I knew it was something easy... this is what happens when I mess with a new Rom on zero sleep....
Thanks!

Whenever I leave the home screen, the status bar turns black like in older Sense versions. Is it possible to just keep it that way all the time. I prefer the look of it over transparent. It also doesn't transition very well when I close an app or go back to the home screen.

You'd have to be rooted.
