Here is a link to the apps that you can safely remove. The easiest way is thru titanium back up. I highly recommend that you read the tips and guide sticky in the general section. You will save yourself a lot of headaches.

Download an app in the market called Titanium Backup....there is a PRO version which is the best..but the free one will do for now..you can use that to uninstall/delete certain apps that you dont want (ie bloat)....

Find the "Delete the Bloat" section...and be careful of what you delete/uninstall..

[Q] noob Questions

Hey guys just got the x10 a FW- 2.1-update1 baseband 2.1.55
can this be rooted?
if so what is the best way to do so which tutorial would be easiest for a noob? ( while doing research about rooting found three different tutorials on rooting which confused me even more one was one click, the one here and one from xperiax10.net)
i just want to take off some unwanted apps like moxier stuff and time scape
by doing this will it preform better?
or would i need JIT?
sorry for so many questions just want to be sure
Find superoneclick on devs thread. Removing unwanted apps you need titanium back up, found at the market.
Im sorry i cant give you the link cause im on mobile.

You can root via flashtool/superoneclick. Download the flashtool from xda link and once you run the program click root. It should install superuser, thus allowing you to download titanium backup from the market which allows you to take off unwanted apps.
that's all i need?
someone said something about android drivers and to back up data?
Heres superoneclick if you havent found it already...

Odin??

What is "Odin" and what does it do? What kind of file is it? Should I have it downloaded?
Odin and tar.md5 files are Samsung's version of HTC's RUU and Moto's SBF files.
Oh ok I got it now! Thanks man! Should I have that downloaded to be safe? Is it required to root on the fascinate?
I have it available just as a precaution in case something goes wrong. It isn't required to root your phone, but it can be useful if it stops working or if you want to go back to stock.
Ok by the way I have a quick question on rooting...Is superoneclick safe?
I've never used super one click root, but if you install a custom rom, they tend to all be pre-rooted.
How would I install a rom without being rooted?!!!
Odin.

Instead of asking questions, you should read up on the stickies thread in the development section. Evrrything you want to know about Odin and roms is there. First hand experience helps as well.

Making any changes without having or knowing the basics of odin is not a good idea. I don't think any of those apps play nice with this phone and soft bricking is likely. Best to learn how to recover before your forced to

P3's pre root... Thaw frozen stuff first?

I'd like to use P3's GB update on my DX2.. I have a ton of apps frozen and a lot of tweaks and settings I really don't want to have to recreate.. Do I have to unfreeze all of my frozen apps before doing the bootstrap and update from ext-SDcard?

use titanium backup, remember to back up before uninstalling.
there are other apps that remove system apps too, but titanium is the most widely used.
Thanks for the reply.

You just need to make sure that the bloatware you're removing is not needed by the phone.
Freezing the wrong thing with Titanium could cause your phone's other functions to stop working.
Just go one by and one and see if it affects anything.
If it doesn't than you're safe. Move on to the next one.
