[Q] Wildpuzzle question - Wildfire Themes and Apps

Hey all, just got myself a wildfire and have been playing about, I've installed CM6.1 and it is awesome, however I really dislike the camera and love the stock HTC one. I was thinking about wildpuzzle but the lack of names on calls and SMS is off-putting. Is there much difference between the new and old versions? I just want to make a sexy looking UI and run Angry Birds smoothly(which CM does!).
Thanks in advance

ah balls, could a Mod move this please, apologies ><

I totally agree! it's not that nice. But heres a threat which you might find useful

HTC Sense on x10???

Imagine HTC sense on x10.....! Is this possible?
nothing can withstand repeated attacks of the mind!
that being said i'm sure it'll be a while but someone will manage it
Well.. I think that it should be possible. It works like a theme kinda, so the widgets won't work with the timescape thingy probably.

Pretty much this.l
I am not sure sense would be a better alternative to what timescape/mediascape become at the loving hands of the smart guys here. I see a lot of potential there for some pretty cool stuff. Most websites that have reviewed the device seem to either like the racheal stuff or see some potential with some fixes. Obviously its an unknown as to where folks take it but I am not ready to throw it under the bus just yet. As to the question itself it took a fair while for sense to find its way onto other devices like the droid so I would expect something similar as far as time frames goes.
htc sense what??????? ahhh will people stop going on about that sense thing! there are enough devices with this on so i for one will not be interested in using the damn thing on ma x10. its all over xda for most android handsets and its just boring..............all the chefs all working on same ****! in hero forum all roms based on sense dumps and all bugged up! i love that whole vanilla feel ...... senseless!
X10
Hi,
This is my first post on XDA. Just bought my first Android phone, Sony Ericsson X10. I used to have Iphone, but made the change because i want more flexiblity. So far very happy with my choice!
Is there any rumors on new development on the X10? Like rom update? or other cool stuff for X10?
yes..htc It is so boring !!

Froyo Sense for hero from desire builds?

Hi there
I've noticed in a few of the other forums (while looking for a desire owning friend) that there are a few desire froyo sense roms popping up
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=724123
I was just wandering if this meant that at some point we would see similar developments on the ol' hero?
Cheers
boch501
yeahhh it would be nice to have
Porting from desire would be horrible, due to very different hardware, different screen size and different screen ratio.
Very doubtful that a desire port will ever happen. There's really no point as the legend (which is far easier to port from) will get an update to 2.2, and thats a much better bet.
Patience! the devs at the moment are just trying to get a perfect AOSP 2.2 rom first!
yeah it's look like a very good rom, if it's possible to port it on a htc hero, i take it
In Q&A Not development please...
Probably have to wait for the slide to get 2.2 w/sense before it gets ported over

I "gave up" sense full time not that long ago really, and now I don't think I will ever want to go back. As soon as you think it through and make a list of what you actually like about sense, you can soon realise that better things can happen without it.
widgets are easily replaceable or forgotten, UI in some launchers are much much better than sense, better settings and better roms

Sadly not for me (yet!). Things stopping me from going Vanilla:
Flickr Sync... soon to change http://www.flicka.mobi/
Music Widget... http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.piratemedia.musicmod Froyo Only
Bookmarks Widget... no solution (Live Bookmarks maybe?)
Music PLayer LockScreen ... no solution

I did give up Sense for a bit but I missed the widgets the bottom bar sucks compared to LauncherPro, its the widgets that bring me bac.
im using vanilla or froyo depending on mood and what day!
I have used froyo w/sense on my mates desire and i cant wait for it to be on the hero (probably have a better phone by then but nevermind) all the things that put me of sense 2.1 arent there in sense 2.2.... No lag going from screen to screen! stupidly fast (he gets 38-42 on linpack) and hd recording (only on snapdragon i know) if you know someone with a desire cionvince them to root it and put 2.2 on im sure you vanilla fans will love it!!

Somebody get the Sense UI (new HD version on Fascinate please!!)

Some genius has got to port the new sense ui over to the fascinate PLEASE!!!!
OMG ... someone actually likes Sense ?
Why not buy HTC?
I would love HTC Sense on my fascniate too. I came from an incredible and I miss it but the screen on the fascinate is just to hard to give up. Once i installed launcherpro i realized I could make this phone do what I want.
I had sense 2.5 on my Omnia i920 adn wouldn't mind seeing the sense interface on this beast...... You think anyone would be up for the challenge?
jv
Once we are able to compile a bootable kernel for our Fascinate and the 2.2 sourcecode becomes available, I will begin the porting of Sense with help of another dev who is doing the same thing for the Droid. But I will warn you, it will take awhile for it to happen due to the nature of Sense being so tightly integrated into the framework where the source code is not available.

I'd love to see the new Sense Live Wallpaper.

yeah, i remember we tried for a good 3 months on the droid1 but never really fixed everything, and the project died out. Good luck, in my mind its not worth it at all.

Yeah, but I want to instead of just making a stripper ROM like everyone else and plus it will be fun. The biggest task is the Radio or RIL code because once that is done, everything will come naturally with patches. The good thing thou is we will be getting a lil help from the RIL master Vilord who originally made one for a WinMo port of Sense Android for the old HTC XV6900.

yeah im a huge fan of sense ui. I personally think stock android is bland looking. I love the speed of launcherpro.....but those fake sense ui widgets kill me.
the new sense ui is amazing people!!
I too love sense. I have the incredible now, my first sense phone, and I think it is the best phone I have ever had (Captivate, Droid X, Droid, Droid2, and allot more). I am considering returning it for the fascinate though, the screen is just too hard to type on with the incredible. The 4" fascinate screen should be just about perfect though. I am still leary after the horrible experience with the captivate on AT&T though. The fascinate has the best looking hardware out though. Would love to have the option to put sense on it.

fake? they work just as well, supported, and constantly updated by the developer.
The only thing I would take from the *new* sense is that 3 second boot up time. The rest of sense is UGH.
I can say that Sense is GREAT for people who just want a simple phone, its straight forward. Whenever a casual phone user asks for a recommendation, I recommend them an HTC phone or the iPhone.
I think the best bet is to use launcher pro plus and beautiful widgets. I imagine it won't be too long before someone makes a skin similar to the new sense look.

Samsung Fascinate + LauncherPro Plus + Beautiful Widgets = Epic Android awesomeness, no need for Sense UI. Note that I used to be a huge fan of Sense UI. It's just not worth it due to the ridiculous amount of system resources it takes. After loading a non-Sense (no pun intended) Froyo ROM on my Eris, and got a HUGE boost in battery life, I realized just how badly Sense UI was draining the system, and that's likely why the Incredible has such bad battery life too. And even before switching to Froyo, while still running stock Eclair with Sense, I switched to LauncherPro, and immediately got a boost in performance. You won't notice the lag on the Incredible, due to the fast processor, but I'm guessing it's still a CPU hog underneath, which drains the battery fast.
Funny how my last post got removed...haha dont tell me this forum is practicing censorship all because I have an opinion?
Mine was deleted also??? Hmm? I simply recomended a widget that replicates the Sense clock/weather widget. I didn't know that was a crime.

When was it posted? everything that was posted and uploaded around yesterday was deleted due to a failed xda system maintenance.
Highly doubt anything in this section gets moderated.
Okay. I didn't know that. The widget I suggested was Fancy Widget. It is identical to the HTC Sense clock/weather widget. This plus launcher pro plus does the trick for me.
Sent from my Fascinate.
Yea lets get moto blur ported over too. Lol jk no on blur. But seriously I would donate for the hd on the fascinate, hell I would donate for vanilla froyo!
Shameless bump. I'd love to see sense on my Fascinate. I've loved SenseUI for ever, just seems like the perfect configuration.

This is the Developers Thread for HTC Sense UI proting developement to our Streak.
Please dont ask questions how the process stage is. Every new thing that will work on our Streak will become updatet on post 2!
I don´t know how fast it will go on because I´m extremely busy at the moment but maybe I´ll get some help from other devs here!
So let the dev begin
UPDATES OF THE DEVELOPEMENT:

Very Nice!
animated weather oh please it would look awesome on the dell strak and then you can really show it off.
worth mentioning is that you'd have to run a DPI setting that will play nice (like 240 on the EVO), when running the HTC_IME on my streak, it only worked at 240 and 200, there may be more it will work at, I tested them working at those settings (doesn't work at stock 160dpi)

Thank you so much for doing this for us. It will be so great. I had this on my Nexus One and thought it was cool then, but thinking now, it will be the bomb on the Dell Streak.
You're the man!
Hi xda members...bad news for dev news...I have to fly to frankurt today evening for a one-week business trip so I maybe won´t find time to work on sense for the next week...maby on the evenings but I´m not sure about it.
If some other dev´s here get some news how to get sense on our streaks please pm me
Any progress here? I was so excited about this. Thanks
This was the post i was waiting for...thanx for the effort my friend
Umm, I really hate to be the fly in the ointment here but is Sense free and open source? Are there no issues taking HTC's code and redistributing it in a ROM for another manufacturers device? It's not quite as bad as trying to install a Windows OS on a device that is not licensed for it but it seems uncomfortably close.
dell
That good thanks

the framework is open source, but the apk's are not. it is very well against copyright laws to take sense and port it to other devices, thats why cyanogen stopped after they got a cease letter from htc.
hey mate, i know u can do this......i will be waiting for ur latest update for the sense ui!!!
it should be way better than froyo.......i hope so

[Q] Just got my Thunderbolt today

Hey Guys,
I just picked up my new Thunderbolt today and I know it has a version of HTC sense which I like and am used to coming from T-mobile and an HD2. My question is I liked the ability to customize and tweak the HD2. Will I be able to now or sometime in the future be able to lets say download transparency tweaks and different clocks for the home screen?
Thanks Guys,
Development thread? I think not. Anyway, the answer is yes.

awesome!! thanks guys...this phone is insane fast and once I get the visual tweaks I want I will have in my opinion the perfect phone.
The phone is so new that the themes/visual tweaks I am sure are at least a week or more out; however, the rate at which the wonderful developers are progressing on things for this phone I'm sure we'll see such things sooner vs later.
