Original Operators Firmwares - XPERIA X10 Android Development

Hello, sorry for my long absence. Now I'm updating this thread as I do not have the time to create the firmwares. So the objective of the thread is:
To give simple instructions on how to create your own firmware. I am going to assume that you already know how to:
1. Read and follow instructions.
2. Change extensions of files.
3. Extract files.
4. Use the flashtool.
5. Create a .tft file.
If you answer no to any of this questions, please investigate a little or do not attemp to do this.
Now, the instructions:
1. Go to this website http://www.omnius-server.com/ and register.
2. Now that you have registered and logged in, go to this link http://www.omnius-server.com/downloads?id=58117. You should get this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Now search for the firmware you are looking for in any of the folders. I'm going to choose the folder R1FA016, and the file X10a_CLARO_GT_NAM1_1234_4844.rar. But it is going to work with any.
4. Now download it and create a new folder on the firmware folder of the flashtool and put it on there. Extract it and you should get two .rar files (if not, just change the extension to .rar). Extract them both on the same folder. You should get a lot of .sin files and a .xml file.
5. Now you have to rename some files with a name like this:
5.1. This one: "system_S1-SW-LIVE-AC12-0001-S1-PARTITION-WITH-SPARE.sin" to "system.sin"
5.2. And this one: "userdata_S1-SW-LIVE-AC12-0001-S1-PARTITION-WITH-SPARE.sin" to "userdata.sin"
Now you have a list of files like this: (the files that you have to change the name can vary depending on the firmware but the part you have to delete is going to be te same (_S1-SW-LIVE-AC12-0001-S1-PARTITION-WITH-SPARE), for example, so be sure to take a look to the picture if you are not so sure how a name should be)
6. Now create the .tft bundle and flash it.
7. Enjoy the phone with the firmware you created.
If this was helpful for you click on the THANKS button.
P.S.
I'm not responsible for any damage you do to your phone.
If you are going to take the time to create all the firmwares, give me the appropiate credit .
Sorry for my english if there is any mistake, I speak spanish.
If you have any sugestion you can PM me and I will be happy to help.

Is it possible to have the Vodafone branded ROM for The Netherlands?
I've made a backup before I did the Nordic 2.1 update, but for some reason I can't use it with the above...
I'm getting an "Unable to open channel, GetLastError=0" message after pressing option 1 and connecting the X10 in flash mode...
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit with JRE and JDK 6u23 installed...

If you get this error you have added WRONG device ID. Maybe you have not only ONE in registry. Try finding another one! If that doesn't work, please install SEUS one time, via SEUS put your phone in Flash Mode and the unplug it; that way SEUS will install the drivers and you'll have your DEVICEID, then go to the notepad called "DEVICEID" and put it in there. Try Reflashing again.
Let me know if this help you.

Thanks, but I've tried to find another DeviceID and can find only one, even if I use another USB port on my laptop...
I'm now installing SEUS, maybe that's the solution...
It's installing JRE also, so maybe the JRE version I've installed wasn't the good one?
Will let you know, thanks!

I'm now uploading the vodafone NL firmware. Just wait for it.

Yes, that is working, but you have to root your phone to acomplish that, and if your phone is rooted, you have lost all waranty both Sony Ericsson and your Operator. And over that, all the custom of your Operator is not going to be on your phone.
Thats why flashing 2 times isn't that hard to gain waranty back.

Perhaps you've missed the point, that method allows you to flash a branded rom back to the phone via SEUS, so once you flashed, you've lost root and got a branded rom back on the phone.

Look, for the Device ID you should have something like this "5&34B1332A&0&5". I can't answer your question because i have never use adb.
But, to get your Device ID, before coping the firmware files to firmware_1, open it and run the x10flash and conect your x10 in flash mode, and a new file named DeviceID.txt ahould have been created. Open it and you should have your Device ID.
Hope to be Helpful

This is hoe you can get your DeviceID on Windows...
1: press start (or windows icon) and in the run box type "regedit" without the ""
2: click edit>find, and type in "Vid_0fce&Pid_adde". You should find "DeviceInstance". Copy the last section of that, it should look something like "5&2888d0ff&0&1" 2.1: If that fails to see anything, make sure "Match whole string" is un-ticked, and click "find next", if that fails, try "USB\VID_0FCE&PID_ADDE" Note: It changes with every diffrent USB port you use....
I hope this helps to clarify..

How to Update your phone normally by Sony Method?
Go here for the list of SI numbers that are eligible for the update. Check your SI number by opening the back cover of your phone, and removing the battery and seeing the number underneath. In case this SI number matches with one on the list at Sony Website, connect your phone to the Computer, and you should be able to update using PCC or SUS.

What are SI numbers and CDF numbers?
Phones of each region has a specific SI number as well as a CDF number. That is, to every SI number there is a corresponding CDF number.
To know your SI number, we need open the back cover of the phone, and remove the battery, and see the number underneath.
Corresponding to this SI number you have a CDF number. For knowing your CDF number, open the dail pad of your phone, and dial:
Code:
*#*#7378423#*#*
then go to Service Info > Software Info. There, the Customization Version is your CDF number.
___________________
How to Force update your phone?
Sony releases the update for an SI number... This means that all phones having that SI number or the corresponding CDF number is eligible for the update.
The software PCC or SUS, reads the CDF number from build.prop file in your phone memory. If we can edit our CDF number and change it to one whiose corresponding SI has recieved the update, we can fool SUS or PCC and get the update.
For more info and a list of CDF numbers: Here

Can I root my phone after Update to 4.0.4?
After Sony released the 4.0.3 update, DoomLord and team created an easy root toolkit for both locked and unlocked bootloader: Here.
However, the 4.0.4 update is immune to this method of root. So to root on 4.0.4 some workaround methods have been brought up.
Scenario I: You are in a rooted GB firmware. Here . Read Post #3 to know how the method works. Go Here to get a step by step Tutorial.
Scenario II: You are in ICS non rooted Firmware. Reported to work on the Xperia Pro: Here. Recommended only for testers and devs currently

How will Rooting on unrootable 4.0.4 works?
Explanation for someone who is in KG of Android School.
Explaination the method of root, as given by puppet13th.
This method involves the following steps:
1. Creation of a file [/data/local.prop] which lets specific applications access the root of your device. For this you need to have root access. That is, you create this file when you are on .58 or .62 or whatever, rooted GB firmware. So, for rooting your 4.0.4 you need to start from GB itself.
2. Updating to ICS, but making sure you preserve the file /data/local.prop. For this you update making sure you do not do a factory reset.
So after this step, you have a working unrooted ICS ROM, but with a gate which can allow su binary and superuser.apk to be pushed.
3. Now, you can push the su binary and superuser.apk files, into the phone memory through the gateway you created earlier.
Now you have a working 4.0.4 ROM with SU Binary and Superuser.apk planted. That is a rooted 4.0.4 ROM.
Head over to puppet's thread to get the required files and a step by step procedure of the above technique. Puppet's Tutorial going over your head? See here for another tutorial of the same procedure
______________
Explaination the method of root, as given by AeonWorld. [Note: This method is reported working with Xperia Pro (as well as Xperia Arc, Arc S, Neo, Neo V, and Ray), and should work with the mdpi devices too. In case it doesn't work and you end up with a broken phone, you will need to flash some working firmware ftf on your device to get it working again] Recommended only for testers and devs currently
1. Update your device to ICS 4.0.4.
2. Download the Xperia Neo 4.0.3 ftf, and flash only the kernel in the package.
To do this, after selecting the 4.0.3 Neo ftf file in Flashtool, make sure the options of Flashtool look as follows:
3. Turn on Your phone, and you will see black screen, as the kernel doesn't match with the ROM. But ADB will work even then.
4. Run the DoomLord's Toolkit for root, and it will work with the 4.0.3 kernel, and SU binary files and SuperUser will be pushed to the phone memory.
At this stage, you have a "not working" device with a rooted 4.0.4 ROM and the 4.0.3 Kernel.
5. Again flash only the kernel of 4.0.4 ROM from the 4.0.4 ftf for your device (Using flashtool as you did before)
At the end of this step, you will have a working 4.0.4 Rooted ROM with the 4.0.4 kernel.
Go to AeonWorld's thread (for Xperia Pro) to get the required file and more information.

Banor means
The meaning of Banor come may come from a craft, such as the name "Brewster" which refers to a female brewer. Some of these trade-based family names may be a profession in a different language. This is why it is essential to understand the country of origin of a name, and the languages used by it's family members. Many names like Banor originate from religious texts such as the Bible, the Bhagavadgītā, the Quran, and so forth. Often these surnames relate to a religious sentiment such as "Favored of God".

Turning on my pc again to help you. Wait. I will come back soon. .

Edit:
Okay, So here's what you need to do.
Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26914104#post26914104, and download the file called Xperia-ROOT.zip as uploaded by puppet.
Then extract it, and run the file 01-local-prop.cmd. It will ask you to connect your phone to the PC. Do it when prompted. Make Sure USB debugging is checked "on", and turn on the screen and then continue.
The batch file 01-local-prop.cmd will now try to replace the /data/local.prop with a new one. For that, it will ask for root permissons from Superuser, and Superuser in turn will ask you. So you will have to allow. (That's why you turned the screen of your device on).
When the batch run is complete, you have the necessary local.pro in /data.
All this you do when you are on a rooted .58 or .62 or whatever GB firmware.
Then, you wait for Sony to release the update.
Once Sony releases the update, you update using PCC or SUS or Flashtool, but you must make sure that you do not factory reset. That is you preserve the edited local.prop.
Once the update is done you will be running a 4.0.4 ROM which is unrooted.
Now run the file 02-push-root-files.cmd from the zip file puppet gave. Follow the onscreen instructions, and the batch file will push superuser and the SU binary files thus giving you root.
At the end of this step, you will be running a 4.0.4 ROM with root.
Okay, I typed a lot. Read it and you will understand. And if you still don't ask me again. I will try to help. And obviously you can ask master Puppet13th and I am sure he will help you too.

First you should un-7zip your downloaded file, there you will have directoriy with a descriptive name and a tarball archive inside.
You can flash these tarball (without extracting) using Odin v3.04 (Attached) or extract the image file from the tarball archive and flash using Heimdall v1.3.1 (don't use the 1.3.2 version). I've personally tried flashing only with Heimdall under Linux, but Odin should work too.
If you are using Windows and you don't have device drivers, download them from here.

Greetz to: Entropy512 for showing the correct road, zebluk for help and advices, baruch6132 for flashing my untested rooted kernel and dumping the factoryfs, zaclimon and baladev for helping, Benjamin Dobell and Glass Echidna for Heimdall, jazzor for ext4_utils, William Enck for split_bootimg.pl, ECLK09 for providing mirrors for uploaded files, Green Day for being awesome, all who have helped or held breath for this, and to you!
Possible problems and workarounds
There are reported cases when the wi-fi stopped working after flashing the rooted factoryfs. And there are two reported solutions:
1. Backup the contents of /system/etc/wifi before flashing to restore them after flashing if you experinece the wi-fi problem. (This is the recommended way)
2. Flash the kernel.
---------------------------------
Added:
As it turned out in the International version (YP-GI1CW) thread, the highly possible reason for this is that there are slightly different versions of the devices. The full code of my device is YP-GI1CB/XAA. If your version is not the XAA (there is, for example, YP-GI1CB/XEG), just backup the contents of your /system/etc/wifi directory before flashing, then rewrite them back if you lose wifi after rooting.
Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I'm having trouble figuring out which version to use. I bought my device in the US from a retail store, so I'm assuming it's the US version, but my model number (both under the battery and in the "About Device" section) just says "YP-GI1". The android version is 2.3.6, and kernel is 2.6.35.7-CL1. Any ideas on how to find out if this is a CB or CW device?
Thanks a ton

I'm pretty sure that it's the US version YP-GI1CB.
There are two reported cases when the wifi stopped working after flashing the rooted factosyfs.
Please report if you have successfully flashed and rooted without problems, so we can know if those two cases were exceptions due to some still unknown reason or there is a real problem. Thank you.
I'm an idiot--found the model number and it is indeed a US device. I'd like to download this and root it, but now I'm worried about the wifi issue. Any new reports?
Root successful, everything works fine
This is the first time I have rooted using Odin. I followed the instructions on the 4.2 Int. rooting page linked in the top (this is the US version, and I did use the files on this thread). Everything works great, wifi included. I installed AdAway and removed all of the Samsung bloat. Sorry about the pic quality, my nexus 7 vga camera is all that I have near me lol.

Follow the tutorial here (but use the ROM in this thread). It's how I did it. This was my first time using this method as well. The only file you need is the modified (aka rooted) ROM. Works great.
EDIT: NM I still had a nexus 7 tar in the same directory that I confused. Please ignore and thanks to all who got this root to work. Cant wait to we have kernels and such that support voodoo sound.
The second post (problems and solutions) has updated.
Users who have experienced the wifi problem after rooting, can you please write here you full device code (e.g. mine is YP-GI1CB/XAA) so we can know whether the problem is the existence of slightly different versions of the same device.
To find out your revision, enter in terminal getprop ril.product_code.

My model is: YP-GI1CB/XEG
Think you know how I solved my wifi Problem. Kernel Flash and usb jigg
I rooted it using these instructions and it worked like a charm. Wifi is working great. Only issue I had was that my device seemed a little finicky when I was trying to get it into download mode, but I figured it out eventually. Thanks so much for this!

Find the SuperSU app in the menu (it should be there if you flashed successfully) and open it, it will ask a question about replacing the su, confirm it.
Then try to install something that requires root and check whether it works.
Many thanks.
Complete success with Odin 3.04.
I was confused initially with Heimdall and mistakenly tried to load factoryfs.img as a Heimdall package which returned an error about a missing factoryfs.xml file. "factoryfs.img" is not a Heimdall package. If you want to use Heimdall simply to flash the factoryfs.img, I recommend using the command line.
heimdall flash --factoryfs factoryfs.img
No problems with WiFi after the upgrade as my device is YP-GI1CB/XAA, although I backed up my /system/etc/wifi folder just in case.
Thanks.
Finally!!! I did! But, now my problem is the RAM! in a few minutes the level of RAM is on the top! And my device start to be frozen for period of time... Could someone help me with that? Someone of you know if we can find ROM's modified?

i think nothing with success, i downloaded some tool from chinese forum for recowery with boot.img
in it. But I think that was the problem, becouse when I opened that tool the boot was something Y201t.
and than all went wrong. Wifi error, butons mixed and screen problem. I fund onother tool wich fixed wifi,
but buttons and screen remains the same.
I downloaded tools and roms that much my desktop was full, and nothing works.
I tried to put the dload with update.app on sd to install but when it start goes 1/2 and after few seconds error and remove batery.
I tried different update.app files but nothing. Im totally new in this so I don't understand it that good.
I think but Im not sure, if you could point me the link with some tool like recowery it would fix this.
I wanted just to fix the phone to work normally, with original rom.
that would be enough for me, and I'll sell it definitly if you could help me to fix this
Thanks and I'm sorry for my bad engllish and poor knowladge.

i think the problem.. is that.. see to sometimes.. custom recovery.. like cwm and twrp doesn't really work well when you try to flash stock ROMS.. so.. do you have your stock recovery? if so try going into download mode/pink screen mode ..replace cwm with your stock recovery.img.. then try updating again..

Hello Again,
I try to use the GB original firmware already.
I couldn't flashing the ROM. It was write in the first note.
As you can see in the pictures.
Something is go wrong with the CRW install (y210D )
Maybe the fastboot or something other because the 210D options available in my 210-100. I mean the HOME, BACK, MENU buttons working like in case 210D.
The SD card flashing not working. (cry, cry, cry)
I can find this informations in the sd_update.log:
"filename = /mmc1/dload/update.app
call RCV_MODULE_END_EVENT failed,module = OEMSBL_VER_LIST
CMD=0xf,moduleaddr = 0xf0000000, len_tmp=0x2c54
"
Someone can unpack the app file? Maybe there can find the solution.
Thanks,
desperate Tony. (HUN)

http://myhvgagames.blogspot.sg/2013/08/ics-custom-rom-for-y210-single-sim.html
Below 2 for Y210D, have flash wifi can connect but no stable, Home/Menu/Back keys all jumble up also
Code:
VIETTEL-V8404-face-JB-By-Gocmobile.Net.zip
Code:
v8404-GMB-05-ModS4-ICS.zip
If you still problem, please download factory and try flash to stock.
Hi,
Yes the CWR working well. I can make backups and every function working as well.
I have tried some rooting method but no one worked.
The truth, I didn't want to install CWR just I wanted to ROOT my mobile.
Reason: Too less memory makes slow the phone, and write it "too less memory pls delete some program etc..."
But ones, after the y210D CWR install, I can root the phone with SuperOneClick 2.3.3. (yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaah)
ROOT, UNROOT, SHELL ROOT working well ( I said excellent.)
AFTER: Just I can't use HOME/BACK/MENU keys and WI-FI. (Cry)
Summary.
I'd like install the factory Firmware (I am not able to do this because it is freezing on 2nd step.) You can see in previous 2 pictures.
I'd like rooting the phone. Reason: intstall or moving programs to SD card.
I wouldn't like install the CWR because no need it for me.
Something BAD thing happend during the CWR install with 210D, because after the boot I have experience the functionality difference.
Okey I think maybe a bit difficult my English. If something no clear please write here and i will try to rephrase that.
Thanks.
Tony.

Just I can find these: V100R001C00B856 and V100R001C00B839.
These versions younger like on mine.
Maybe this is the problem?
Does someone a B876 version Ascend 210-100 link please?
Thanks.

AT&T SM-105A Stock Firmware Needed!

I know others have looked as well but can anyone *please* dump the rom of their AT&T 4.2.2 stock image for the good of all us AT&T S4 Zoom owners who are stuck in a logo reboot loop or have other problems that require a restore? There are currently no images available on any of the usual places (Samsung firmware, updates etc.)
Thanks very very much in advance!
If you not found any stock rom for C105A At&t... & Your Phone is In Boot loop Stuck on Samsung Logo... Then Just Flash C105A Mexico C105AUBUAND1, 4.2.2 System And Cache Separately in Odin...
This will not work because the AT&T variant of the phone is bootloader locked. You are not able to flash firmware variants unless they are for the AT&T version of the phone. Hence why so many people need a firmware image for AT&T. If anyone has or can make a DD.Image it would help a lot of people.

I'd like to help. I've extracted system.img and cache.img from an AT&T sm-c105a (4.2.2). Unfortunately I didn't read the above instructions very well and placed them both in an odin flashable tar.md5 file. I guess if you want to follow the above proceedure you will need to flash them separately. On the other hand, if you have a brick already anyway, you could just try it out. Any problems with the file post here. Mediafire was being dodgy and I wouldn't be surprised if it was damaged. Anyway here is the link, or as close a facsimile as my noobness will allow: http www mediafire com /download /xbdxb8gun1niwg9 /sm_c105a.zip
So, I assume from the deafening silence that this did not work? I'm not surprised since a dd of a mounted partion (system) can't be a good idea. I have been experimenting with Adebar which is also supposed to make a system backup. Doesn't seem to fully support the phone, or, doesn't create the full backup. I'm open to other ideas....

Don t work to me.
Here are a cache and system image from the AT&T variant of the phone. @awwar can you be more specific. You are in a boot loop? No recovery?? Device recognized by Odin/Heimdall??? I am VERY interested in providing a way to unbrick our phones but am unwilling to brick my only device. If you want to try something post here and I will provide what support I can.
My CM-C105A is in Kies recovery mod mode. I can flash only system and cash tar files. Kies show error when i am traing to recover my phone.
Have you tried the pit file? Sometimes that might help?? Also, I have a boot.img download further up the page. If your bootloader is bad you could get similar symptoms? Kies doesn't like my boot/recovery images? Can you post the specific error? Thanks for replying. c_p

I am VERY interested in providing a way to unbrick our phones but am unwilling to brick my only device. If you want to try something post here and I will provide what support I can.

@awwar Here are recovery and boot images and pit file from AT&T version of phone Build # JDQ39.C105AUCUAMJ2. Kies may not be able to restore if you have a damaged bootloader source. But, on a plus note, "I haven't run into anyone yet who couldn't undo soft brick from Odin" source

Nothing changed, I flashed whith this firmwares but error. This firmware is too large.
@awwar Ok man, thanks for testing. I hope your skills extend further than the average windows user. You have to extract the files and then repackage them for odin as tar.md5. I think you can do it in windows but I can only talk you through it if you are using linux. I am not sure which image to flash first but Faisalkhan.007 in the first page suggests doing it one file/partition at a time. I would flash my recovery and on reboot try using volume up and home to get to the newly flashed recovery. I think you are getting file too large because you've got more than one file in your flash package. Restore the pit file as a last attempt after trying to flash each partition. I'd love to figure out how to pass you the bootloader only but I've got another project ahead of this. Did you look at some of those links? Try this (search for download mode on the page) if you are having trouble getting to download mode. And this is for osX but might help too. The errors you are getting don't sound like the one I get. I upload an entire file then fail at 100% for an unknown reason. The Heimdall guys say that is due to the locked bootloader. TLDR: Split files, flash singly, reboot and try stuff in between. c_p
Well I Really Don't Know , But Its Working For Me,

Try It
I have *three (3)* SM-C105A S4 Zoom Camera phones by Samsun and enjoy them. I have upgraded firmware on 2 so that I can use Remote ... uh, is it Viewfinder? And it works. Not to the point. What I *lost* was compatibility with *ooooooold* Photo Elements. Which, at age 57 I like to use and don't want to relearn. I run it on a virtual XP. What makes this post relevant is that *third* S4. It *hasn't* upgraded. Cracked screen, disused, but I crammed.. well, a bit of fibrous matter...OK , a ciggy-butt, in the battery door, with a rubber-band, to hold a fresh battery in place, ... and it's booting now. So, please give me a month to extract the firmware, yes it is AT&T and also upload Photo Elements, firmware from old and upgraded, to continue the discussions, or not, and to try cloning the two to restore my ability to post process nudies shot with my camera phones. And other pics. I wrote an AI MathCAD program to postprocess nudies (it's fine art fer heaven's sake) that actually simualted the artist's brush strokes. More on all this in I hope a month.

No, back when, I must have applied, not the most recent upgrade, but the intermediate of the three versions.....and all hope is lost. Photos from the oldest S4 I have do *not* open in Photo Elements. None of my cameras produce photos that open in Photo Elements any longer...but they did. I opened an older photo just now.
Dang these upgrades. The message says the JPG file is missing a segment. Phooey.
I have a business account with Samsung and will open a support ticket.
I will not pursue the hack angle for now.
Samsung may help me.
Cheers,
DGoncz

@DGoncz You could do that, or, you could just do a complete wipe/reset. Should be 4.2.2 after that. You may also be able to use a hex editor to set the start of the jpeg file to whatever your proggie wants to see. Good luck c_p

Help finding the combination ROM

Hi, I just joined this forum and I'm hoping you guys can help me with my problem:
I have an S9+ with the FRP Lock on, a guy on Reddit told me that there is a way to unlock it. The phone in question is a SM-G9650 made in Argentina. And the other number that appears on the recovery menu when you do the Bixby + Vol Up + Power button is G9650ZHS6CSK4.
I've downloaded the correct firmware (I think that version was Android 9.0) for that number up there, and when I try to flash the phone with Odin, everything goes great, I first flash the AP file and the phone reboots, but it doesn't boot into "Factory Binary Mode" it just goes straight to the normal phone setup and in Odin I get no errors as you will see in the screenshots below:
{

So, what am I doing wrong? If I'm missing the combination ROM does anybody know where to find it? Please if any of you can help me I would be grateful!
Have a nice day!

YOU have a great day!!!!! Stop telling people what to do!! (totally joking)
all joking aside, yes, the combination file is the way to get past FRP. I have not looked at your file to make sure its the combination file needed in order to get past FRP, but that is indeed the process. You flash the combo firmware (not called a ROM) and then the phones actual firmware you need and the phone shouldnt ask for the google account info anymore.
Reddit is a good place to have quick conversations about how to address issues, but youll find that 99% of the people over there just refer back to XDA. Wonder why! LoL Anyways, ill look at the file you posted, but i am at work so some of my research will be limited due to the vile creature called Citrix.
here is a link that Citrix wouldnt let me get to due to the net nanny configured within the evil bastard Citrix.
https://combinationfirmware.com/combination-samsung-galaxy-s9-plus/
i cannot verify that link due tho the aforementioned evil gremlin Citrix, more so the netnanny, but you get my point
Thanks! I'll get started

Thanks! I'll get started with that link, I'm not near my PC right now so I can't check the link comfortably, anyways from what I saw I didn't see the specific one that matches this code *G9650ZHS6CSK4* completely, does it has to be the EXACT same?

no, it doesnt have to be the exact same, but certain parts are important. G9650 phone model #ZHS6 bootloader versionCSK4 build version

So, technically can I just use any combination firmware with the G9650 part in this case? I've been googling earlier but I haven't found one that completely matches that code, most likely I'm not looking on the right places

model number and bootloader revision are the only really important parts as far as getting the phone to boot and/or not brick, the rest is mostly to determine which security update its on and what carrier its for
also the images in the OP dont show even on my daily driver home computer. I could check on one of the others too, but i dont think thats necessary.

So, let me see if I understood correctly, even though my phone's version is G9650Z, the G965U will work just fine? I get the joke but at the same time, what I meant is that I couldn't find any combo firmware that has the G9650ZHS6 in the name

im glad the art of humor isnt entirely lost here these days!! honest to god
G9650ZHS6 is the first part of your devices firmware, but the firmware combination file you want doesnt need to exactly match the first part tho. From what you have here, its telling you that the G9650 is the model number, the HS6 part is the bootloader, but in the US models, there are 2 characters following the model number representing the country code but this one only has one before the bootloader version. So, as long as the combination file is the same model number and the same bootloader version, it should be just fine. Odin will fail if you try to flash a BL revision lower than what is currently on the phone and i wouldnt recommend going higher if avoidable as you cant go back to a previous BL version once youve installed a newer one.

So, in this case, I already have the model number which is G6950, now, I need to find one that has the "S6" in it, being that, the bootloader version I'm looking for right?

I found this combo file G9650ZCU6ASJ2 , will it work? One more thing, the phone right now is on Android 9.0 and the combo I downloaded has "FA80" on the name, which, according to what I've read, it's Android 8.0, do I need to downgrade the phone to 8.0? Can I just flash the 8.0 firmware into it and then continue?

the android version doesnt really matter too much (outside of the requirement of factory resetting when going between versions usually). I am not 100% that the file you listed will work, but as long as it is for your device and is the correct bootloader version, it wont harm it.

And now I have another problem, when I flash it with the combination firmware, it starts and then immediately after Odin says "Fail" and the phone shows this:
FRP is enabled, ignore PIT download.
FRP is enabled, not allowed to download non-FRP abl binary.
What could it be?
