When trying to install I receive a "out of memory" message but my phone has 40 MB left and the app has only 12...

It runs on mine, but displays nothing. So far, it doesn't work on QVGA displays, but I've read that there will be a version that supports it sometime later.
I'm also tried only blank screen.

I just tried angry birds on my girlfriends x10 mini pro but just get sound and a blank screen.
I did get it to work on my HD2 using android. I was only expecting it to be the lite version but it seems to be the full program.
They've released the entire game for free on Android. But as said earlier, QVGA is not supported yet.
So sad
This answers the question on why it isnt on the market....
Works fine on my x10 mini with 2.1 update vey smoothe.
On my X10 Mini Pro (witk UK version) works well. A few stops from time to time but nothing big.
Running fine here. Managed to swallow my battery from full to nothin within 6 hours!

I installed it via the market. X10 mini pro 2.1
On my x10 mini doesnt work. After instalation i have only music and black screen but i have only android 1.6

From the looks of things, the devs at Angry Bird have released a new version of it which is compatible with the resolution of the X10 Mini. The one floating around on web sites is the old version which is not compatible with the X10 Mini.
This is what Ive gathered when phpchris got it from the market.
phpchris, is there any chance you can get the installer you got from the market and upload it somewhere?

bad info man...Angry birds can't work on 1.6 of the x10mini because it uses open gl 2.0 wich are not supported;
i tried to use last version of the game on my handset before fw upgrade and no success but now that i have 2.1 runs smoothly.
The only issue is regardin resolution: as the developers said the game isn't fully compatible with QVGA and so you loose a small portion of the screen in game...fully playable anyway

In my mini i dont loose screen, but when a tutorial image appears, y need to come back to desktop and enter again, then choose repeat
Having updgraded to 2.1, I wanted to try Google Earth.. it's not available for our resolution, so I thought I'd try the Eris Market Fix, which wasn't available for Android 1.6.
Well, it's totally borked my phone! I thought it would just alter the market app, but instead it's lowered the resolution, I'm getting force closes all over the place, some of my app icons have vanished, menu navigation keeps breaking, and I can't tell if it fixed the market because I've lost all connectivity!
Does anyone know how to undo the Market Fix? I suspect I'm going to have to do a repair via SEUS, but I can only do that at home in 8 hours time. :|
edit: It's also knackered SuperUser, so I can't do anything root-related, and now I can't even shut down, because the screen's so corrupted. Out goes the battery..
i updgraded to 2.1 too and the fix for 1.6 dosnt work :-(
i forgot to save my original Vending.apk now i have no market anymore (lol)

I have a Moto Backflip atm but might upgrade to the x10. Now I can live with out Motoblur, but is there a similar feature on the x10? I was under the impression the motoblur type function of syncing contacts to social netowrking sites was only a motblur feature but my friend with a Samsung Epic said he can do the same thing and said he thought this was standard in android, or is this is a Samsung UI similar to Motoblur?
Another thing I love about the bflip is the ability to activate the camera LED as a flashlight. Is there an app to activate the light manually?
Also, with ATT locking down the backflip from installing apps directly from the SD card, I wondered if this lockdown applied to the x10 to? I know apps can be side loaded and this can be bypassed with software hacks, but just wondered.
What version of Android ships on the phone? What is the latest version available in a custom ROM that is actually stable?
TImescape will allow you to do the facebook-contacts thing. I do not activly use timescape but rather ran it thru the set up once and that was the link in the chain. Furthermore do not task kill timescape or freeze it with Titianium as this will break that chian.
Flashlight- http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/tools/xperia-flashlight_gowc.html The widget even looks like a tiny X10, It's kinda funny. Press tiny xperia and bam light is on.
I have it on my home screen near the middle, I work nights so I use it every night to make my way to the bed and not wake up the wife with the real bedroom light.
We get 1.6 out of the box, We have a nice stable Global Generic firmware flash for 2.1 . I am an ATT customer in the USA and I use this FW with no problems.
There is a 2.2 out but I hear more bad than good so I'm gonna chill right here with my 2.1
I see timescape does facebook and twitter. I assume it does myspace as well? This looks like it is standard on the x10. Is that correct? I have found video of it on youtube but the one thing i cant find is what the screen looks like when you click a contacts name in your phone book except one, and that only showed twitter. Am I correct to assume it will show a tweet/status and the contacts phone number just like motoblur? Does it allow you to write some one on say facebook right from with in your phone book with out launching facebook? Again I can live with out the social networking stuff but just curious to see how it works and obviously do not feel comfortable putting my data in the demo phone at the store to test this aspect of the phone.
When you say global generic 2.1, I assume you mean just plain ol stock 2.1 with out any modification at all? I use the Preclair rom on my bflip so 2.1 is a must for me.
Last but not least, how are things coming in terms of kernals for the x10? Is the 2.1 rom still using the stock kernal from 1.6 or is it newer?
What about installing apps? Do we have to sideload like the backflip or is there already a patch to fix this?

the 2.1 upgrade has as "social phonebook" which syncs with social networks. don't know about Myspace though.. never used it..
I use the Facebook app that comes preloaded on the phone as it's a richer, more complete solution.
not 100% on this but I think that the kernal we had on 1.6 was the 2.1 kernal.. and we're still on it..
Global generic is the SE global generic, without all of the networks own guff added on top..

Is it just me or the new update of the market is not good for our x10 mini? i can't see anything because of the new design... why does google certificate devices and then create such a rubbish update that doesn't fit in our mobile phones?

i've had no issues with it...
but as the others have mentioned, it is ugly... seems unfitting for our small screen resolution
Also got the update. Don't know when that happened, it must have updated in the background.
My device is rooted (z4root), and the update of the market has not interfered in any way with it.
I'm also disappointed in the user interface. Before it was much better.

guys, if you want the new market to look better, you can tilt the phone to landscape mode, it's not that great but i find it easier to read.

Do you have an idea of a working skype version for the X10 Mini, not for Mini Pro?
I'm running CM7 2.0.7, but all the skypes I've tried on it are unstable - they crash suddenly, restart themselves, can not login after they've restarted, they want force close or exit and so on.
I've tried the moded skype 2.1.0.46, but when I turn on "force video calling" option it wants to restart and is unable to login after that, because of constant crashing on sign in.
I've tried an older stock version(from the market) of it, from which I've had a backup, but it is also unstable.
The last market version of the program wants to be reinstalled, but after the reinstall the same problems occur - message "skype should be reinstalled" appears again after some work.
So, do you have a working version of skype for X10 mini, CM7 v7, Gingerbread 2.3.5? I already know that video calling is not possible on the mini for now, but any working and stable version of it at least?

Well, gyus, I accept your silence as a recognition, that there is no good working version of skype for the Mini, or that you don't use skype on your phone at all.
I'm using version 1.0.0.983 on the mini pro. Dunno if it will work on the mini .

I've been searching for such an old and stable version of skype for a long time! It's really stable on first use and I think it's perfect for the Mini! I've been using this version for a while, before I had done the updates to the newer craps with so many "options", that are not compatible with the Mini's processor and actually make the program an unstable crap.
Strange but... after a few days of use this old version of skype also logged off itself with no reason. I was even not touching the phone at that moment. The internet connection hasn't stopped at all.
I don't know what's the reason for that, maybe the Gingerbread, which seems to be quite unstable on the mini.
I've noticed that skype is disconnecting suddenly even when there is more than 30MB of free RAM memory on the phone.
