i am having G-Sensor Problem someone told me to Put A Fresh Rom in it
i dont know how to Put ram
and also How to check that my device is able to install a custom ram in it
Will Be Thankfull if someone Guide me Proper
also as i mention before also that some senior member suggest me to put a fresh rom in it should i go for the same rom 1.00.25.05
or i download 1.03.25.18
and also it is having windows 6.1 in it
how can i update it to 6.5 ( how and can i update it)
i am sure some smart people here to help everyone as i am new to this forum

Hi All,
I have a HTC Gene PPC. I want to upgrade my PPC OS from the default HTC WM5 to WM6 but I don't want to brick it...
ALso as I am first time user I want to take backup of original ROM before updating so that in case something goes wrong I am able to switch back to the OEM WM5....
Can pls tell me how can I take Backup of Original ROM with was shipped with my HTC P3400 ( Gene's name in India) ?
I tried searching the same on the xda forum but I couldn't find.... I may have missed.. but I really tried hard...
So can some one pls help me ?

I want to backup ROM... then only I will go ahead... tell me one source for wm5.0 rom... there is none as of now

i think u have wasted a thread kindly read all the postings in this forum their is nothing called clean 6.5 as this has not been released by MS as of now kindly spend some time reading in this forum read all ankits posting and various posting in the same subject and you would have got ur answers
if u want to use a good or i would say the best 6.5 Rom as of today try ankits rom before doing anything kindly do ur HSPL if u dont know what it is pls read Krazy stiky it it also has the tools

What kind of clean rom do you want anyways, one which has only the sys and no apps?? thats not going to happen. If not, try Ankit's Beta 4 ROM of WM 6.5, its the lightest one.
So I don't know much about this stuff, the extent of my knowledge is how to get a .cab on my phone and install something like Manilla 2D on my HTC Touch Dual(model no.: NEON400).

I can't hspl my Neon400 using the same things as used for the Nike, I've tried and it does not work so this thread is obsolete. But thank you for acknowledging my trouble and taking the time to try to help.

Also tell if I' ll face problems with the new softare and of course do I have to secure all the data???
will everything be lost after the update??

Why flash a custom Rom? Rom cookers have made something that offers more than the stock Rom's. And in particular when your phone is older than half a year or so it lacks the latest software...like Windows Mobile 6.5 .....

Welcome to XDA-Developers.
All you need to do is flash Hard-SPL to unlock your phone (to put any sim in) and to also enable you to be able to flash custom roms in.
Then find any wm6.5 roms and flash it into your device...
I personally prefer the wm6.1 roms, they are most stable and faster imo.
