I was wondering if anyone else here had this problem. When I use Zedge, Last.fm, or any other service that provides music through an app, the audio and previews don't work. Downloads don't seem to work either. If anyone has an answer to why this happens just from the symptoms then that's great, but just hollar if you need it logcatted.
EDIT: My error seems to be as follows "ERROR/MediaPlayer(3253): Error (1,-1002)" as shown by ddms. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Anyone have any ideas for me to try?

Hi Guys
Need some advice if that is okay, is anybody else experiencing an SMS Limit? I can write up to three sms then it converts it to MMS which is very annoying because before (desire), i could write 7 or more.
I did search and know there is mod but is there another way, as in, an option?
Im on orange and am using lite'ning rom 1.5
My second question is that any time i try to download anything within the browser (file, apk, video, etc) it always fails. No matter what.
I'm really confused and have looked in the settings but its puzzling me.
If anybody could shed some light, that would be great

Can't help with the sms question, sorry. As for the rest, the stock downloader only allows certain types of files to be downloaded, go find the "download all files" app on the market and that will solve that issue

Thanks mate, i tried the app but still can't download some stuff. But its definitely a lot better than before.
Is it just me who is encountering this problem? Thought this may be a standard thing on the SGS2?
yeah!! the sms limit is definately a problem.. Any Kind souls can guide us how to reslove this sms limit??
Using the Buddies Now widget. After a while the widget loses the contact assigned. The widget displays "Add now." I can't figure out what is causing this. It was doing this before I rooted so I doubt it was something I removed that Buddies Now was dependent on.
After searching the forum I've found this thread, Epic 4G Touch users have the same problem, but no solution.

I was having the same problem and could not find an answer. My solution was to put a shortcut to the contact on the page instead of using the widget. It seems to do the same thing. Try it.
I'm trying to use video chat with Google Talk running UnNamed and the users on the other end are unable to see me. I've tried this from 2 different accounts/users and pc's and the result is the same. Audio is there, I can see them but from their end it's just displaying both of our avatars. I've also noticed that there is a lock icon in my window preview.
Has anybody been able to video chat using google talk on UnNamed?

never seen this issue, i use video talk everyday on unNamed everything worked just fine its mostlikly somthing on there end.

Okay, Gtalk on UnNamed works only on wifi, unless you have enabled it such as Market application GTalkEnabler or various other methods that asks you edit some files to enable it, in oredr to work on 3g/4g.
Once you have installed GtalkEnabler, click on the app and there will be a check box against " Allow 3g/4g Gtalk Video Chat" and check that, and it should work, This is how I made it work.
Some Custom ROMs come with Gtalk pre-enabld, but somehow GTG decided not to activate it somehow, I don't know why.
In Marrket, look for "Enable Video Chat over 3g/4g".
Thanks guys i'm not sure why it's not working. It doesn't even work over wifi. I know I had used it before I flashed to from stock rom and it had worked. I was just curious if anyone else was having trouble since I couldn't find any threads up on here about it.
Thanks again for confirming it does indeed work, i was finally able to track it down to end user problem on pc clients. Must have finally goggled the right terms and found a google lab called "Video Chat Enhancement" and once having them enable that I can chat with them again.
No problem with UnNamed at all!
Does any one use custom notifcations for their phone and notice that it cuts short? I have the "Cloud" sound from the Galaxy S 2 but I notice it doesn't play the sound completely. I also have the "Gamma" sound from sense and the phone doesn't completely play that either. When I play either of the sounds from the Sound Player app it plays completely but when I receive a new text it cuts the sound short.

Same issue, my custom notification ringtone would cut off. I posted it on another thread. The only fix is using zedge for now which was recommended by another user.
***The zedge experiment didnt work. Notification ringtones started to cut off. :/
Ok now it's working again. Extremely confused!

Has anyone tried deleting the threads? Cause I noticed mine doing this too I have the Canadian version but I noticed it only does it for the people I text a lot but with other people it doesn't do this. Let me know if that helps? Maybe using a different launcher with a texting app would be better

Hey! I think you're on to something. I sent myself a text from my Google voice number and it played the full sound clip. I had my friend text me (I have 200 messages in that thread) and it cut the sound short when I got the text. I wonder what would cause that though...
Same problem here.
Has anyone else had issues with popping or crackling while listening to AAC audio? I notice it a lot with Pandora, and they use the AAC codec, it's not clipping, or audio drop out from bad connection, but it has a very apparent crack or pop every few seconds. It has made Pandora useless for me. I've tried both Cognition, and Nocturnal, thinking that maybe it was a mod issue.

Nevermind. If anyone else has these issues, a quick search will reveal that turning off Adblocking software fixes this issue...don't know why...but it does.
For anyone wondering, I was using AdFree 0.8.47. I tried simply uninstalling the application, which didn't work, you have to revert the host files back to normal. Does anyone know of an adblocking option that works well with audio programs?

Its because of the host file blocking for apps that have ads heavily integrated. I think its like how if you tried to bootleg a vhs back in the day theyd come out kinda futzed up. I use adaway and havent had any problems with youtube pandora or anything.

I'm afraid that's not it at all. I'm using a version of Pandora that has all the ads removed, so it shouldn't affect it's ability to play regular music. I will try adaway, thanks for the suggestion.

I'm saying that doesn't make sense because the version of Pandora I'm using has the advert framework removed. How could it block something that isn't there? Comparing it to a vhs copy wasn't a good comparison.
