Can I get a black status bar on Stock ROM ? I've rooted my device and installed custom recovery.
I pulled my framework-res.apk from the system, went to the online theme kitchen (something with circle.glx) and cooked my black status bar.
How can I push it back (overwrite) ? With adb push it doesn't work.
Thanks !
I think you can't do it with stock rom.
You need a deoxed one!
Cheers
Ok. So I think I have to install a custom ROM. Thank you for your reply.

I flashed a different battery icon via clockwork but i flashed it from the download folder instead of the root of the sd...now it seems to not load up giving me an error forceclose twiz not loading and it just force closes..i can boot into recovery tho but i just need help resolving this issue..
you probably flashed a battery icon mod that wasn't compatible with your rom. what rom are you running, and what battery icon mod did you flash?
I agree. It doesn't matter where the file is located when you flash it. It can be hidden in 20 different directories. There's something wrong with the file itself or its not compatible.
stock rom rooted...and it was Orb Battery v2 (JI2) - Clockwork - signed.zip
Perhaps the JI2 v2 mod isn't compatable with the stock JFD? Try flashing a mod specific to JFD? Version 1 I'd assume.
So im on 2.3.4 with an unlocked bootloader and root with Clockwork Recovery Mod, so i decide to install a custom rom...Honeycomb....before installing the rom i use rom manager to backup my stock rom and then follow a tutorial on flashing the Honeycomb rom. Everything goes smoothly until i turn on my phone and realize that my widgets are gone, my settings icon is missing, and many features are screwed up..so i decide to use System Recovery to install the Simplicity Rom over the Honeycomb Rom....my phone restarts with the android and yellow exclamation mark inside a white triangle. I take out the battery and reinsert it and my phone reboots back into the Honeycomb rom. Now whenever i try to go into Android Recovery (not clockwork mod) i get the droid with the exclamation mark....
I can go into System Recovery and access Clockwork Mod Recovery
1) How to i get my Android Recovery back?
2) Do i need to flash the sbf back to stock in order to install another rom such as Kenns Alien Rom on my phone or can i install the rom over my current messed up rom?
3) What is the best app to use for data backup on my phone... in case i screw things up even more
4)Is there anything else that i should do to my phone to achieve its maximum potential?
Any help would be appreciated

NEVER use SBF after unlocking your bootloader, or even with a locked bootloader, once you've gone to 2.3.4. Depending on the SBF, you'll either permanetly brick or temporarily brick. Instead, use fastboot to flash CWM and then use that CWM to flash another rom.
Thank you for your quick answer
So your saying that i should install (Tenfars) CWM again through fastboot and then use that to install the Alien rom?
Could you give me a link for the stock rom because all i could find are the sbfs??
Use romracer's cwm and flash any rom you like. I had the same issue after I installed the Honeycomb theme on mine. Now I'm running Alien with the honeycomb theme, and it's great.
Hi,
I've flashed the official MIUI ROM. And I've tried to replace the standard arial.ttf and arial-bold.ttf in system/FONT with a other font but with the same name. That didn't work as planned so I changed it back to the original fonts which I backed up before. The strange thing is, when using the standard theme, the font does not work in settings menu e.g. So I decided to delete the arial and replace it again, but after deleting the fonts the phone shut down and now it's stuck at starting up, it shows the yellow triangle and it just stays there.
So.. it won't start up because it's missing the arial font.
How do I fix this?
Thanks in advance!
Reflash the ROM.
Either via Odin or CWM, w/e form the ROM comes in.
Do I have to do all the wipes again? As in data/factory, cache, dalvik and format system?
If you flash the same ROM you had before, you usually do not have to do the wipes.
That worked, thanks for your help.
To bad that tutorial on how to change font in MIUI brought me to this. But thanks again.
Not a whole stock ROM, only a stock kernel.
Then flash your custom kernel back via an app running on the phone, that doesn't trigger the triangle.
Check my kernel post (link in sig), there is a short and quick way described on how to do that.
Nope, if you flash via CWM or an app, no triangle.
The yellow triangle is only triggered when you flash a non-stock kernel via Odin and downloadmode.
I installed a couple of custom roms that have custom boot animations and they display beautifully. However I decided to go with clean rom which has the stock bootanimation and I've been trying to change it with a custom one but it never changes. I used the root explorer method, doesnt work, I downloaded one of those utilities on the market to change bootanimation, when I hit preview current boot animation it display my custom one, but when I reboot or even re-import the custom one and reboot it displays the stock one.
I searched but I cant find an answer. Help please? How is it even reading the stock animation with the custom file replacing it?
EDIT: I thought to mention I am using a P7510 16GB
