Just checked the 3D Games app.....which didn't show anything for me. oddly. But, I went to the actual wapshop.gameloft.com, and clicked "More Best Sellers" and there it was, Shadow Guardian, the Tomb Raider/Uncharted rip off. lol
So, who's buying it?
3d game app ? Where is it downloadable from ? I'm desperate for 3d games but haven't found any yet

I might, I still haven't beaten any of the of the other Gameloft Games yet.
I think I'm almost done with Asphalt 6, Just Started Assassins Creed, Spiderman I'm chasing Rhino, Nova 1 & 2, etc.
Too many games.

I bought this for my EVO 4G but the 2d version and never got to really start it since I sold my evo. I may take the plunge on this one. Gonna call gameloft to see if they can do anything fro me.

So far so good
Got it for free when Gameloft's Modern Combat 2 didn't support EVO 3D (spoke to Customer Support). Didn't realize it was new and all. I like the game, I just have to say that playing games with 3D enabled are a hit and miss since when you are moving the phone while playing you constantly lose that precious optimal viewing zone.
In the end, I just turned off the 3D effects. But it looks cool during the cut scenes since the subtitles and certain objects pop-out.
P.S. - judging by recent comments here, no one will reply to this

Thats like Asphalt 6 then. 3d is cool in the beginning but gameplay it makes everything jittery. I have to turn 3d off for a smooth game play.
I just bought Shadow Guardian 3D for me phone and I've sadly discovered it force closes at the beginning of the game, just as I start moving... I feel so disappointed right now, never had problems with any game before, especially bought ones, and I really wanted to play this game.
Did anyone else have had this problem? I'll mail Gameloft tomorrow and ask, but I trust XDA community more than a weak excuse which I'm rather expecting from them...
Some gameloft games are not compatible with ICS, known fact been discussed, sorry
( Don't ask me for help as I couldn't care if your phone explodes, eh! )
Flashallthetime, I knew that was a problem half a year ago, I was hoping they'd fix it by now or at least somebody found a way around it... Damn it, I really wanted to play that game, now I spent the money on it for nothing...
I really doubt at this point gameloft will send out a patch as the Evo 3D is not a priority for either HTC or gameloft, most 2d games do play, call of duty zombies works fantastic

Is this phone any good

Since you are asking in a forum for the phone you will get a biased answer of yes. I had the 4g, traded up for the 3D, broke my 3D, bought the photon 4g, 5 days later sold it via Ebay, bought parts to fix the 3D, and have loved using it ever since. There will be phones coming out that perform better, but the gig of ram and processor is capable of overclock, so it is real fast.
The 3D is a fun phone and I think you will enjoy it...It has its small issues at times but the phone is still very much enjoyable.

you will never regret it,the best phone super fast!
You will love it!
No. This phone sucks. I'm tired of it being one of the fastet phones out there. It needs to slow down and stay sub par. Its vibrant screen needs to be less crisp so that my eyes can start squinting more since it's getting lazy. It's 3D capable picture capture and video is worthless. I mean, who goes to the movies and watches that stuff, let alone buy a big screen tv that does it too. Its 1080p playing ability is below expectation. If it can't play 4k videos, why is it even sold! The battery life is horrendous. I turned it on fully charged and once it finished booting, it turned off saying low battery!! Why can't it be like my clam shell phone that doesn't have any features and can be off the charger for weeks?! And let's not mention the dev support. This phone has been out for such a short time, and they haven't even made it light-speed capable like some other phones. What da deuce!?
I'm just saying. I have a different phone and love to comment on other phone forums since I think I'm doing the people a service to let them know they got robbed. If you want the best, get a Samsung 4K IDB Extreme. That's were it's at.
PS. I love this phone. It's hardware capabilities will last me a lot longer than my awesome Hero did (RIP). You'll love this phone. It has served me well, and continues to surprise me.

That's the most confusing post I've ever read.
According to Gizmodo in their HTC One X review, the phone had issues playing 3D games. They specifically mentioned Temple Run, and the phone not picking up certain inputs due to the CPU being overloaded or something. Sounds iffy to me, so I'm seeing if anyone is able to replicate this kind of thing with the LTEVO, thanks!

When playing Temple Run, I notice an occasional blip where it hesitates for just a moment. Enough to make you smash into a tree though if you're not careful. Doesn't happen often thought, and I can't find a pattern of when it happens.

Playing Stair Dismount on mine there is a lot of slowdown
Def not bc of lack of power I'm sure they just need to be optimized for the EVO..
If you think about it, there are only three Android phones with HD screens on the market right now. Most games are probably not yet optimized for that resolution as well. Even Apple doesn't have HD screens in their phones yet. Handset HD rendering is a rather novel feature.

I remember when I bought the OG Evo, it seemed to everyone like it was underperforming in the game department. People said it would be fixed with updates and it didn't work because of this or that, but eventually we just realized the hardware wasn't up to snuff. I don't want to make the same mistake with my next purchase, so how bad is it really? Are there any high-end games that run perfectly? How does shadowgun play?
I've played all those games on my 3d ..and they played great..so with a greatly improved CPU and a oc-d gpu its def not hardware ...the s4 is top notch..and ur not go.na have too choice since almost all high end phones coming to the US will utilize the s4

I agree but something is wrong I am having small issues with many games that ran fine on the 3d and OG. For instance just downloaded Nba Jam tonight and it studders and lags the whole time un playable. This game was running pretty good on my EVO last week.
So I agree it is not the hardware but something needs fixed. Sounds like the HD screen issue may be to blame

I will go check it out. I am not saying that it is the issue but someone mentioned it and it sounds possible that these may not be optimized for our screen yet I know when qhd was first hitting the market some apps had trouble with it. It has to be something though because there is no way this hardware cannot run apps that ran fine on my OG it just doesn't add up.
Any one get Demolition Inc working on this thing yet?
Shadowrun plays nice and smooth no issues with that game.

Possible Fix
I don't have the 4g LTE yet I am a current 3D owner. Am trying to decide between GNex and LTEvo but that's another topic...
From what I've read somewhere else (can't quote where from) the fix was to bump your minimum cpu speeds up a notch and will probably fix most/all your lag. Use Antutu or other choice program (rooted only of course) and bump your min clock speed up one or two spots and I bet you don't run into issues.
If this doesn't work then ignore...thanks!
Shadowrun plays really smooth, and I'm amazed with the graphics. Looks sweet!
I was hoping this phone would game better than my gnex but so far it's not doing what I had hoped for. GTA3 has awful audio quality and I have to turn the settings down to low and lower res and other settings to get it to play lag free. I don't think it's any better than my gnex was. I am hoping the game needs an update.
Well I'm disappointed that a lot of the best looking 3D games do not work.
Not Working:
All Gameloft games EXCEPT Order & Chaos (but it still crashes some)
Even the brand new N.O.V.A. 3 doesn't work
Mass Effect Infiltrator
Dead Space
Field Runners
Working:
GTA III
Shadowgun
Minecraft
Deer Hunter Reloaded
Galaxy on Fire 2
Gentlemen, the phone has not even officially been launched yet.
Once game devs figure it out the games will run fine on our hardware. It is fact that our phones are more powerful than the 3D or the Gnex so it just needs to be optimized. On top of that, imagine how our phones will fly on a nice aosp Rom...

I am wondering if any roms are currently able to correct Sense Multitasking where all apps have to reload. Even Sense UI itself will reload at times. Is this an issue that can ever be fixed? Do we have to wait for HTC to release the source code for these issues to be addressed? Thanks for the info
use v6 supercharger then you can set whatever memory values you want..

no rom has fixed it yet, and those instructions are hard as hell to follow..
I know its been said but my Palm Pre from 3 years ago with 256mb of ram could keep and run a dozen apps at once. On my Evo 4g LTE if I'm playing Angry Birds, get an e-mail and go back its reloads like it was never up in the first place.
HTC needs to find a better way to utilize this 1gb of ram...I miss my WebOS.
Try ram manager in the playstore by juwe11,same idea as v6 just in app form. Theres a free one also just less options. I've been using it forever, it definitely works.

Ahhh...WebOS....I still pull out my Palm Pre from time to time and play with it. Nothing has even come close to the smoothness & efficiency at multitasking the way WebOS did it. I love Android but WebOS is still my favorite mobile OS. Shame it never caught on.

On Purpose?
I read an article that actually said that HTC did this on purpose with the one line of phones.
Hello, all.
I'm currently looking to purcahse OG to replace my aging I-897. However, when I played with the G at local AT&T store, I was shocked how slow UI response was compared to Onc X or SG3. The other phones had faster touch response time (e.g., scroll, swype, etc.).
Do you guys think there was something wrong with the demo phone at their store?
Thanks in advaice.
It was the demo. This phone is it.
the best phone ever
Mine is faster than butter in a hot fryin' pan. I have noticed that ever once in a while, while charging, the screen is unresponsive to the touch and is jerky and slow. I unplug it and its fast and smooth again. Maybe the one at the store was charging.

Yes sir! I was just playing with it at the store like 5 minutes ago and scrolling the homescreen was terrible but ya we've all seen in reviews its super lightning smooth

It's even smooth when the phone is running on the last bit of juice in the battery! Witnessed this firsthand. Outstanding phone.
Well mine is pretty far from stock, I have deleted a ton of stock apps and the stock launcher and use NOVA.. But I have not experienced any slow down, pretty sure I didn't before I did all that either since I got this on launch day.
Sometimes my Back button gives haptic feedback but the OS doesn't respond to it or the flick scrolling doesn't coast as long as other phones (In Twitter Feeds or browsing for instance). Other than that and the slow UI redraw on Home Screen rotate (HTC Sense is often slow to redraw too, and it is rare to have a home screen that rotates in stock) the phone is very responsive.
Thanks guys for your feedbacks. I ended up buying the phone couple days ago (couldn't wait =)
Anyway, no lagging issues report with my new G that I've seen on the demo model at the AT&T store.
