try uninstalling and reinstalling SEUS...
same here
Same thing on my side : the Repair button doesn't display in SEUS. I uninstalled the app, deleted the Sony Ericsson folder from Program Files, rebooted computer, re-installed SEUS with the latest version on website : SEUS just says that my phone already has the latest version but doesn't display the Repair button...
but...
... but the Repair button shows up in PC Companion. isn't that odd ?

There should be a restore or repair button in pc companion ... I had to do this last night after trying to change the reboot menu and battery icon using another thread on here. I ended up in the same constant reboot situation as you.
ya.. i had tried tat method as well.. not working.. i had uninstall the SEUS and PC companion with the latest version as well.. nothing seems to work

i am currently using now the minicm7 2.0.7 rom, and i want to revert it back to stock rom 2.1 and i cant seem to find ways on how to. i tried using seus but when i press the back button it take me to the recovery instead of seus continuing the update to 2.1.
please help me please.
Connect your usb cable to your pc
Start pc companion or sony ericsson update service and select update/repair software
Switch off device
Connect device whilst holding back button when told to do so on pc screen
And the rest should do itself, this will reflash back to totally stock android 2.1

That is why it is always recomended to take a backup of stock rom before installing any custom roms...
Hi think you have an option in SEUS to re-install even if you have the latest version.
When you have this message, you can select "re-install" or something like that.
A popup will warn you that you will lose all of your data.

As the post says just above there is am option to repair/reinstall or something like that it just downloads the firmware, wipes your phone and your phone is back to stock.
OR
If you have Mini Pro, look my signature how to flash stock.
For all solution : use WotanServer because that is the website that can flash amy stock firmware with your country setting FOR FREE...

Does the PC compain is not faulty?
Click on the upper part of PC companion where it says "your phone is up to date" or something like that.
Then it will give you the option to repair, click repair and follow the steps on screen.

On PC companion, under "Support Zone" click start.
On the next screen, click "Start" under phone software update.
On the enxt screen, click "Repair"
Done. it isnt hard.
you can still install the stock 2.1 rom using SEUS . When "your software is updated to latest one " appear u still can press the install button there .

I was flashing just a new kernal to try another rom and my phone aborted the installation of the rom then I tried to reboot it but the screen stayed blank so I tried to reflash to stock and still blank screen. I think she finally bit the dust...anything else I should try? (I have no insurance and the warranty was voided long ago) Buy a new phone probably...

Yup. With SEUS, just plug the phone in and follow the prompts
found repair option in pc companion but not in seus...but either way nothing helped or worked. It said my phone was up to date on seus and pc companion said, after selecting the repair option, that there was no update for my phone at this time???????????? I am f'd, right?

Even pc companion tells you your phone is up to date, continue the install... Repairmode i think
If it doesnt work just can try flashtool... There is a tutorial on xda thread...

if you don't know how.. i'll teach you.. go to pc companion.. and click on support zone, and click on repair phone.. and it will says personal data will be lost, just click continue.. then you choose your phone and follow the instructions.. (you need the latest pc companion for this to work )

I finally fixed it! I had flashed the x10a stock ftf and I needed the x10i ftf even though I have an x10a, I believe that I have to use the x10i ftf now after using x10i roms that must have switched my build.prop. I had done this before but I didn't have the problems reflashing it like I did this time. Thanks for everyone's help!
I had the same Issue and i Used the Flash tool to fix the issue.
People are making the mistake of connecting the phone at the start when they launch pc conpanion.

i update my phone to 2.1 (offical UK E10i_2.1.1.A.0.6), old version is 2.0.... by flash tool (but forgot check in debug mode) and dont intall xrecovery , now it not turn on :crying:
i try disconect battery and use SEUS and Sony PC Companion 2.1 but they say: software is newest, can't update
How to flash it again please help me
