someone please which file do i need to flash in recovery 2e
Try and recover your phone by downloading an official file from the htc website..
or there might be a similar thread here telling you what to do ..
this should reset your phone so that you can then start again ..
Edit ..: this is the guide you should be using.. the top couple of lines pretty much explains that you need to flash the official file ..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=645253
Have you tried booting without the sd card. Sometimes the SD card corrupts and that triangle shows
also try holding volume up + the power button at the triangle screen and select reboot now if that option comes..
the thing is it sticks at the 1st boot screen if i power it up holding home + power it goes to android recovery 2e not clockworkmod anymore , if I could get clockwork on there again i could flash the backup file
thanks or you help mate I got it going with fastboot using cmd prompt and restoring backup
Good work !

Ok, So I've recently updated to stock gingerbread 2.3.3 with baseband .35. I rooted my phone with the SuperOneClick method. Root was successful (Finally).
I then wanted to install a custom ROM, so I installed ClockworkMod's ROM manager, flashed the clockwork recovery image and everything. I decided to make a backup image in case I didn't like the new ROM. I then selected the "Backup Current ROM" option, and left my phone to it's own devices. When I got back about 5 minutes later, I find that I have a hard reset on my hands :| To add to that, I don't even have a backup image!
I tried doing that a couple times more, once, I even held the POWER+VOL.DOWN+HOME combo and all. The same thing happened each time. The recovery backdrop and a sliding progress appeared, after about 4 seconds, the progress bar stopped moving, it shifted back to the LG boot logo. If I kept the combo pressed, it would go on and on for about 5 times, if I released it, it would just continue on to the boot and I would get another hard reset every time. I tried "Reboot into Recovery". Same thing. Once, I selected "Install ROM from SD card", with the backup option selected. Somehow or the other, due to the combo or something, I came to a screen that had four options.
1) Reboot
2) Install from SD card:update.zip
3) Wipe data
4) Wipe dalvik cache and cache
I was able to scroll up and down with the volume rocker, but the only other button that worked was the Home button, which toggled between the screen I mentioned above and a screen where all of the text was removed and there was just the recovery background. I finally popped out the battery and booted, and got yet ANOTHER hard reset.
HELP!
It seems Clockworkmod recovery was not flashed correctly. What you see is the stock android recovery. The recovery key mapping is:
volume rocker-up/down
menu (left most button)- select current option
back - go back
the behaviour you see when pressing the home button is normal.
After using Rom manager to install CWM recovery, it is not recommended to do further operations through rom manager, best uninstall it. Instead, boot into recovery using the three button combo and do operations from there.
I would suggest try again to re-flash CWM recovery.

Thanks, but do you have any idea WHY using ROM manager is a bad idea? Just curious.

Well, one reason I've encountered is that while flashing cwm recovery, if the download fails for some reason, Rom mananger has flashed the incorrectly downloaded file without verification resulting in a fastboot semi-brick for many users.
Another reason is related to the way it operates the recovery. I'm not very sure about this point, but I've seen many people having problems with backups and flashing.
Thanks, you were brilliant. I flashed another recovery from ClockworkMod, this time with a WiFi connection, and everything worked great.

I have an HTC Desire 620G Dual Sim.
Hello , today i got a notification to install a software update , and so i thought 'why not' and proceeded. When it finished , it booted , then went to a screen saying something like ' no command found' , and i got into a menu with multiple choices such as boot , backup/restore from sd card , install update from sd card , cache , adb etc , so i chose boot , but when it booted again , it got me back into the screen saying ' no command found ' or something similar , then i chose 'backup to sd card' because i thought , for some reason , that once it was done it'd boot properly . On the next screen there's a droid with a blue thing rolling in it's stomach , a blue bar that is now full and it says ' installing system update' . It has been going on like this for 20 minutes now . When i press the power button the blue thing stops rolling and it says :
'SD card free space : 14831MB
User data allocated:4182MB
backup file : userdata_20151008_180633.backup'
I'm rooted , i have no custom recovery , no mod or kernel or anything , i haven't been messing with those things at all , i just got root to get past a license verification.
What can i do to boot properly , back to my homescreen? By now i know that my warranty is voided if i bring my device to a service.
UPDATE : It's now finished the backup and went back to the multi potion screen. Would a factory reset do the trick?
I think you're stuck in the recovery/bootloader. Try to do a factory reset. If that doesn't help, you must flash stock firmware. Be aware for the next time you update. If you have root you can stuck in bootloop or stuck in the recovery/bootloader. Make a nandroid backup before you update with OTA.
PS: For flashing stock firmware, you should search for a guide in google or xda.

I let the device discharge overnight , and now , when i plug in the charger , it boots up but now it doesn't even let me access the recovery , it's stuck at the white htc logo screen . Any help , please?
Update : It's now been booted , and brought back to the recovery screen . I did a factory-reset but it just brought me back to the 'No command' screen. How do you flash custom firmware if you don't have a custom recovery installed?
You don't have to flash COSTUM firmware. You can flash STOCK firmware. Search for a guide in google or xda: HTC (FULL PHONE MODEL NAME) How to flash stock firmware
Don't ask me how to flash with fastboot because i don't know that (I'm a Samsung User).

Hi all,
I unblocked my honor 7 PLK-L01 okay,
but when i tried to flash the superSU, to get rooted, after reboot, it never wants to reboot.
I tried:
1- I tried like the manual saying, (press volumeUp+volumeDown+power), then after the first image, i release the power and keep up+down presses,
But instead of going to recovery, the phone keep restarting.
2- i tried to press volumeUp+power, then keep pressing on volumeUp, but also the phone keep restarting,
How ever I can go to bootloader mode, if i press voluemDown.
but when i flashed another twrp, nothing change.
Can someone help please, the phone even stuck on the starting, and can't be recognized as mtp on compter,
or can't goto recovery_mode
Thank you in advance
i think you are kinda messed it up..
you should not flash any thing except stock firmware using emui recovery..
only solution: try and flash twrp again and again to check if it installed correctly.. or send a pic of what it says in the command window when you try to flash twrp..
or you can even try to put an update.app under a dload folder of your sd card and try to flash(do it if you have emui recovery..remember try any other firmware.. not the one you alredy tried)
you should always read forums and look into various things you are not sure about before you even download superSU.zip.... you should try install twrp do full wipe and install rom THEN reboot and you should be fine. make sure that rom is made for your device...

Hello
A while ago, I tried to root my Essential Phone using magisk. I unlocked the bootloader, flashed twrp, but when I tried to install the magisk zip file, it failed, and I was stuck in a bootloop.
Easy problem to solve right? I wiped everything from my phone (including the ROM), downloaded a stock ROM (.ZIP file, and I think that’s what ****ed everything up) and when I tried to install it, it failed once again. Therefore, I downloaded another stock ROM file (this time as a .img file) and tried to installed it.
But what I ended up doing, was installing some other .img file as the boot image (on twrp), and after that, my phone kept restarting endlessly. I couldn’t access the recovery mode (if I tried to press the vol down + start buttons, or just the start button, the process would repeat, so I leaved my phone there until it run out of battery, now its off).
I was despaired and tried to search every inch of the internet for a solution, and obviously, I could not find it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for your attention.
(Im not sure if this is really a soft brick, I named this thread wit my basic knowlage, sorry if Im wrong)
