BLACKFROYO - it's back​
BACKGROUND
I present to you my personal blended/kanged/port of Black n Bold by theBowers at DroidForums.net mixed with my personal style and now called BlackFroyo.
BlackFroyo is not a ROM, it's a flashable theme.
This version is made specifically for Team Whiskey's Nero v3.
It may work on other JL5 based Roms, but I don't guarantee it and if you are brave enough to try then let me know.
I do not consider myself a dev. I just want to share things that I have created personally on my phone with our community.

Install Instructions:
Make a nandroid backup - it's always better to be safe than sorry.
To install this theme just download the .zip file and flash it through clockwork recovery.
I am in no way responsible for you breaking your phones.

Just install as a normal app, they are signed. If you have the old one you will need to uninstall first.

Swype.apk - Blue here thanks to MWBehr - This looks awesome!

To install Swype.apk, extract the apk from the zip file. Go to your system/app folder and rename the existing Swype.apk to Swype.bak. Now copy the extracted Swype.apk and paste it to your system/app folder. You will need to re-select Swype as your input method to see the change.
SIDE NOTES:
Some of the pics in the gallery are different, that is because I personally use ADW EX as my launcher.
The icons in the pictures are my blackfroyo icons that you can download in the links above - if you use them you will need to manually change your dock icons to the blackfroyo version by longpressing the app and choosing to edit the icon.
The clock/weather widget shown in the pics above are from FancyWidget Pro -my own theme that is not published

Removed HTC_IME.apk from BlackFroyo zip, some were having problems. You have two choices for themed keyboards: Swype and Gingerbread

Included Jocelyn's nero accurate battery mod and changed the green .png images to grey to match this theme.

Please Please Please! If you have any issues, comments, etc. about the Axura build, please mention Axura somewhere in your post. Also, I suspect this may work for other Roms (probably not Nero or GingerClone). So if you'd like to try, please let me know your results.

if i open the blackfroyo zip and replace the blackfroyo geniewidget with the geniewidget from nero (love the weather pics and transparent look) will that give me the nero widget when i flash it??? sorry new to this stuff but i guess thatd work...if not i can always uninstall and install the nero one just wondering if i can save a couple steps...thanks for your work it is awesome

Very nicely done. I'm new to this forum and have been modifying my phone for the past week and this is my favorite one yet. The only thing I reverted back to was the pulldown menu. I was using the MMtransparentpulldown drawer and that theme looks awesome with yours. I forgot where I gotten it. Anyways, I'm hoping to do my own stuff for Androids someday.

You could do that. What I think is easiest is to just flash the zip and then once you're rebooted just copy the geniewidget.apk that you want and paste it into the system/app folder using root explorer, it will remove the themed version in my zip file and replace it with yours.

Well I took the plunge and tried this with Axura 2.5.5.6 and I got stuck in a boot loop, so I am gonna have to say it's not compatible. Hopefully we can get a similar theme for Axura someday! Good thing I made my nandroid I really have enjoyed your work in the past Samcrow, thanks for your hard work and happy new year.

I have flashed the revert to nero 3 zip and then flashed the blackfroyo zip without disabling voodoo and have not suffered any negative consequences. I would say you are safe to keep it enabled but it is your choice.

Yes I tried this one and the metamorph on axura latest and no dice. I actually went back to Nero 3 just for this theme! Its so hot! My phone is looking and running sooooo sweet.

So I flashed this over nero 3 with the blackfroyokang v8 and it's really nice, didn't have to disable voodoo either. I kind of miss the circular battery but other than that, it's a big improvement. I really like the additional themed apps as well, the clock and google voice specifically. Awesome work. Thanks so much!

You can try, it might mess up the charging icon because the .png images are numbered differently.

I don't think so but my hope is that this will be integrated in the future. It's not that important to me, the pros over the kang v8 with the circular battery mod outweigh the cons, but it would be a nice addition.

I can make a morph for this tomorrow. The charging ends up just a little bit off after shifting the images around, but it's barely noticabl (it's what I was using in the kang morph)
