Hi,
Activesync does not recognize my mda2 after a hard reset, it keeps trying to sync but ... Does anyone have this problem?
(I do not use a firewall)
Thanks already
Before Running the ROM Upgrade Utility
Before you run the ROM Upgrade Utility (RUU), make sure you check and do the following first:
1. USB sync cable is connected to the computer.
2. The standby and hibernation modes are disabled on the computer.
3. All running applications on the computer have been closed.
4. USB sync cable is connected to the Mobile Device to establish an ActiveSync connection with the computer.
5. Do not interact with your Mobile Device unless instructed to do so.
General Procedure on Installing the ROM Update
1. Back up your personal data from the Mobile Device to your computer using ActiveSync if you want to ensure you don’t lose any of your data.
2. On your computer, run the ROM Update Utility (RUU) to install the ROM update to your Mobile Device. (The next section provides a detailed procedure on how to install the ROM Update).
3. Restore your personal data back to your Mobile Device using ActiveSync. (Optional)
How to Install the ROM Update
It is very important that the help desk personnel understands very well the installation instructions. Actual hands-on practice with the installation process is recommended for the personnel to better understand any installation problems users may have.
Note: Before running the RUU, back up any personal data from the Mobile Device to the computer first using ActiveSync.

Hi, do you know what means "SE Flash Olympus"?, it's shown in RDSLite when I connected my Atrix in RDS mode. This Atrix is from Telcel / Mexico
I'm trying to unlock the boot loader, but the process always fails, I also tried the .sbf file for international phones.
Thank you for your help,
The "SE" in "SE Flash" means secure engineering. In the past, this type of hardware would allow non-signed builds be flashed. However, I'm not sure this is the case with Android devices.
If you're having trouble unlocking your bootloader, please expand on the issues you're seeing. What SBF did you use? What build is your phone currently running? What OTA builds have been flashed? What procedure are you following? Where did it fail?
Good luck
Mine came up with SE Olympus and mine rooted, bootloader unlocked and flashes roms just fine.

This is the info:
The sbf file, is the one in the International section of this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136261&highlight=pudding
RDSLite version: 5.3.1
Motorola Media Link Drivers: 5.0.1
Atrix already rooted with GingerBreak
The Atrix info:
System Version: Blur_Version.0.43.3.MB860.AmericaMovil.en.MX
Revision Number: 03
Model number: MB860
Andriod Version: 2.2.1
Motrola WebTop version: OSHWT_U1_6.18.0
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-00004-g7297c72
Build Number: OLYLA_U4_0.43.0
These are the steps to reproduce the error:
1.- Power down your Motorola Atrix
2.- Take out your microSD card and SIM card for the flashing process
3.- While turning the phone on, hold the Volume Up button until it acknowledges RSD
4.- Your device will say “Starting RSD protocol support”
5.- Run “RSD Lite” on your computer
6.- Press the “. . .” button next to the box labeled “Filename”
7.- Load up the SBF file (intl-fix-try1.sbf)
8.- Plug your device into your computer
RSD Lite should recognize your device and say “Model: NS Flash Olympus” and “Connected…” (Here is where RDSLite recognize Atrix as SE Flash Olympus)
9.- Press the “Start” button
Then the status in RDSLite becomes from "in process" to "fail"
Thank you very much for your help,

Hi, can you share the procedure/file you used to unlock the bootloader?
Well first off, since it's from Mexico, I have no frame of reference for you because I'm from the USA. But I'll help if I can. If I were you, I would follow the directions in this thread here. http://briefmobile.com/how-to-unlock-the-atrix-4g-bootloader]
Now here's a mistake a lot of people make---they dont extract the .zip file. They keep the .zip file and don't extract it and try to flash the .zip . This will NOT WORK. Make sure after you download the unlock .sbf that you extract it from the .zip if it comes inside of one.
Hi, thank you for your reply. I followed the procedure in that page, with the sbf file extracted, but I got the same result. The sbf included in the blog is for ATT Atrix.
Any one?

I tried this plus zomgunlock-lite.sbf using rsd-lite and sbf_flash.
on rsd-lite, the phone won't instantiate onto win7 because there is no driver for 'SE Flash Olympus'. So i tried searching for this on the internet but nothing really meaning showed up. But ...
on sbf_flash (in linux), the procedure threw up a sec_exception and it failed.
My guess is the most likely scenario is that 'SE Flash Olympus' just means that the phone is secured i.e. it required a sbf to be signed properly such that it matches that of the phone. Because the sbf were from 'other' sources, i suspect they will only work on NS Flash type devices. (hint NS -- non-secure ?)
Hi there, I think i might soft brick my atrix, is the same stuff, from México, I rooted the phone and I was fooling around in Clockwork and I accidentaly clicked on the Backup ROM, at first it was ok but then it rebooted, after that i got stucked at the M screen with this:
Failed to boot 2

I've tried to unbrick following the guides I've found around here, but after trying to flash through SB Lite it always shows this on the phone screen:
Failed to boot 2
Starting RSD mode
sec_exception febe 35, 35
I've tried with different SBF files always getting the same issue, can anyone help pls

Señores,
Tengo exactamente el mismo problema ¿alguien ya lo resolvió?
I have the same problem. I was trying to install CM7, so I flashed the ClockWorkRecovery, when I rebooted the phone into recovery mode, happened exactly what nachicocum says.
So I downloaded the OLYFR_U4_1.2.6_etc file and tried to flash it using RSDLite.
When I go to RSDLite it recognizes the phone, but the wierdest thing is, when I "open" (using the three dot icon in RSDLite) it doesn't show the file properties, and the Start button stays grayed.
I know it doesn't have anything to do with the drivers (I have the drivers), the RSDLite performs the same wether the phone is connected or not to the USB port.
PLEASE HELP!

I think you are italian according to your name "ac-milan"? is correct?
