[Q] LGE Android Platform USB GPS NMEA Port - Optimus One, P500, V General

ComPort:LGE Android Platform USB GPS NMEA Port
This port is detected on my system (PC windows XP) but when I try to connect the same through some application it gives error.
Can anyone guide me on how to use this port.

If your pc detect ComPort:LGE Android Platform USB GPS NMEA Port it means you have USB debugging mode activated on your phone. You can connect to your phone in this mode with ADB. (google for adb)
To acces phone in LG PC suite for example you need to disable USB debugging(settings>applications>development)

Adb Drivers not working properly

Hey I have a tab that i recently upgraded to Android 4.0. I want to continue developing on Android with a physical device and to manually root it.
In 2.3.3 I was able to connect it to my pc by debugging mode and work with eclipse. Now I have upgraded my tab to Android 4.0 and I set the debugging on. I connect it to the computer and 3 options were displayed:
MTP, PTP and Mass Storage
I have tried the 3 options installing the adb usb drivers from my sdk and Eclipse doesn’t recognize my Android Tab.
Where is my problem, what can I do?

Samsung galaxy S2 USB prob(not even mtp mode)

Hello,
As you can see in the title I have a problem with my samsung galaxy s2. Until 2 days ago, everything was working fine. My phone was connected to pc via USB cable. As I was working as it was poping up with the autoplay.
My brother did walk on the room and "took it in his legs"(if you know what i mean).
Problem:
Now the phone is only charging at PC via usb. I am not able to do it to connect via usb storage or any other way. I did buy an usb cable but in vain.
What i have tried:
-buy a new usb cable
-reinstall usb drivers from xda/samsung/google/kies/
-clean the usb
-clean the usb from phone
-#7248... method
-tryied to connect on virtual machine with windows 7(hoping for autoinstall autoplay)
-update windows media player
-debug onn, debugg off
I am using Win XP sp3. Also after unistall and reinstall the drivers i get the message with usb not reconized and windows asks me to search the drivers for Multimedia controller and multimedia video controller.
Note:
Multimedia controller and multimedia video controller are asked by Windows only after I connect phone to pc when reinstalling usb drivers.

Replace USB board/port (but you need to get the correct part - search for similar threads to get the info you need; this has been discussed here a lot this year).
What version of Android are you running?
If it's 4.22 or 4.3 then go to Settings/Storage. click 'menu' and change USB settings on the phone from MTP to USB/Camera/PTP
Then it should show up as an external usb device.
XP is bad at recognising MTP (media device) so just set it to register as a Camera or usb storage in settings.
I am not using android 4.22 or 4.3. I am using android 4.1.2 and i do not have that option.
Until i will get another comments i will order a new USB board.

Vzw V10 USB Driver Issue

Trying to save on battery and not use the hotspot I thought I'd try USB tethering. I am able to USB tether and connect to the internet via USB tethering. However, there are two devices in Device Manager with yellow exclamation triangles: CDC Serial and LGE Android Phone. I've searched and searched but am unable to find the drivers for these devices.
CDC Serial
Hardware Ids
USB\VID_1004&PID_62C4&REV_0310&MI_02
USB\VID_1004&PID_62C4&MI_02
Install Error
E0000203
LGE Android Phone
Hardware Ids
USB\VID_1004&PID_62C4&REV_0310&MI_04
USB\VID_1004&PID_62C4&MI_04
Does anyone know where I can download the drivers for these? I've tried the LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.0.4 with no luck.
Thanks!
I finally found the drivers on the CD partition that came up when I plugged my phone into the computer. I quickly copied the files to the hard drive from the CD partition to the hard drive. Then I installed the drivers through Device Manager. I don't know if it really matters or not but I can't stand having any yellow triangles in Device Manager.

Mediatek MT6735 phone,USB 038d:2002, reports as "Linux File-CD Gadget USB Device"

Mediatek MT6735 phone,USB 038d:2002, reports as "Linux File-CD Gadget USB Device"
Hi....i have a homtom ht6 phone, MT6735 processor.
...**correction: its USB 0e8d:2002 ***
its screens is broken and i try to backup my data.(so i cant see..!..and touch)
usb debugging is turned on (adb),used before , but i have then set USB port to "charge only"...hmm...cant change that..
i have installed the SP Flash Tool along with its usb drivers being installed on win7. (total 4 drivers i guess)
i understand that newer phones (this android 5.1) do not support standard usb flash drive when connected, but the MTP protocoll....when connected to pc via usb.
When the phone is on, it reports on linux, lsusb, as mediatek Inc. 0e8d:2002, not being detected by linux filemanager....its a EFI file system.!
On Win7, it reports as "Linux File-CD Gadget USB device", a drive letter is assigned but size on win7 show 0 , zero.
googling that gadget driver i found it is a a two way driver, serial and flash drive.
no more info found.
Question 1: does anybody know details about this driver and how to use it?
Question 2: is indeed usb 0e8d:2002 the MTP port?...then howto change drivers in win7.
Question 3: as being USB on "chargeOnly", can ADB bein gused in recovery? (maybe someone can check that out)
many many thanks

USB Debugging

When i turn on USB Debugging then what happens to android data files ( ex: /data/data/com.android.providers.settings , /system/build.prop &/or any others?)
Nothing.
USB debugging basically enables the Android OS itself to communicate with a Windows, Linux, or Mac computer. It acts as a connection bridge that allows software tools and drivers for Android as ADB & Fastboot to recognize your device when connected via USB.
