[Q] Anyways to get the Honeycomb 3.0 Music Player - Wildfire Themes and Apps

How to get Honeycomb player on my wildfire?
This the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=885535

It's working flash via adb to system/app
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App

Force Close on Wildpuzzle

force close on CM7 any fix??

No point of getting honeycomb music player on wildfire it will LAG like hell because wildfire doesn't have a GPU and im 99% sure th eplayer need's that.

And just for the record, many have tried installing it in many ways on the Wildfire, and, all have failed. So, till date, there is no way to get the Honeycomb (Or is it Gingerbread?) Music Player on the Wildfire.

Not only. It requires a lot more power. Just don't see it coming to Wildfilre.

i think minimum processor requirements for honeycomb is 1ghz

There is no requirement in the processor department for honeycomb, the biggest problem for us is GPU.

I just love the fact that for every Android version, there had to be someone to say "oooh, it will not work on the phones with processors slower than 1GHZ" and then that person would be proven WRONG by the developers.
I just LOVE to lol at them.

I got the process runing, BUT it needs an arm v7 processor. To get a glimpse you must copy the libjumper.so(from the apk itself) to /system/lib .
I got this running on HTC tattoo that way and it dies after several seconds. It dies slower if you are in landscape mode.

How do I view/Edit the contents of
.apk files?

Use APKTool to Decompile, edit, then Recompile. There is a thread of APKTool in the main Android section. Just use the Search, you should be able to find it.

Is there a way I can transfer a file from compressed .apk file to / system/lib using terminal. Maybe busybox cp?

I don't know how to access the file libjumper.so inside the .apk tried via terminal. Used command
Su
busybox cp /sdcard/download/.apk/libjumper.so /system/lib
Any suggestions guys? I removed origional music.apk from / system/app and replaced with 3.0 I have new gold icon but force close immediate and repeats

This is best link to get this app I think. My prob is I can't figure out how to expand memory in / system/lib

How is it working on Wildfire? On the Tattoo @729Mhz even 3D gallery runs smooth.since the Wildfire has more RAM then it must be better?

Wrong, the player doesnt need the powerful hardware unlike other Honeycomb system apps (like its 3D Gallery). I have an non-rooted, stock Wildfire runing on 2.2.1 (it just installs as a seprate app and all I did was make it my default player) and its actually quite smooth, the only issue is the force close on landscape album view but there might be a fix for that soon.

added
modded launchers
Wysie's Contacts
Modded some icons and statusbar drawer

Modaco et al shall have all cred for the desire ROM.

is it not possible to get the desire rom and only disable rosie?
but keeping the widgets such as the mail, music player, calender etc...?
also, does this ROM include the nice select text feature similar to the desire rom?

I try to nexify the the desire rom. All htc apps is heavily integrated to the desire frame so i guess its difficult to get them running in stock nexus roms
does Flash Work? also, does "more soon" mean the ROM isn't ready for us to flash yet? I don't see a download link.
i also noticed that desire has better exchange integration. if anyone figures out a way to get the exchange apk or mail apk or whatever controls that onto a cyan rom that would be great.
I'm definitely interested in what you come up with!
Why not just use a homescreen replacement...like Home++ so you don't have most of SenseUI? The apps aren't drastically different, the biggest difference is the homescreen imo.

Update: still working to solve some graphic glitches in my morph.

Maybe i will post a barebone stipped ROM if anyone wants it.

[THINK TANK] Desire Camera & Music on Stock

I really want a rooted stock ROM (CM, Enom, TheOfficial, etc.) but I love the camera & music apps from the Desire ROMs. I've been trying all day to get them working on CM, but have failed epically. Anyone wanna throw in some help on this?
What I've Tried (& Failed):
Copy the right libs from the Desire ROM to the stock one. Used the list of libs we needed to port the music/camera apps from the old Hero builds to the stock G1 ROMs.
Ideas:
Something with Smali/Baksmali.
+1 For this, as the Camera on desire IS AMAZING! Seriously, much better then the original. Same with the music app, as it actually reads id3 tags correctly.
Is there any way to get there widgets to because there a lot better then stock

I would ask Stericson to weigh in. He was the one that got the HTC music app from the Hero ported to 1.6. Maybe he can offer you some insight.

that's gonna be really hard if not impossible...
This request has been asked for already:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=638106&highlight=camera
I can't find the posts at the moment, but I believe there was discussion about this pulling the HTC Camera app out alone, but that it was so integrated into the core components that doing so would be a MAJOR undertaking (for not just pulling out all the necessary pieces, but also having to put patches in for those pieces on whatever ROM you do use).
I'm in the same boat, the Desire Camera is far superior to the stock camera and would LOVE so it as its' own app (or ported to CM5 ROM).
If someone would compile ldd, then you could easily run it against the camera app to find all the library dependencies. Then lump all the libs into their own dir (so as to not overwrite stock libs), then launch the camera app from a shell script where you set LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/path/to/desire/libs and it should run. It may consume 100 megs, but it would run
Its possible, but you need to use baksmali and smali to find out what the app needs to run....its possible...but not easy...
/joins the seemingly cult following
+9000 for this idea.
Tunewiki is the best music app in my oppinion, but I wouldn't mind the camera app.
+8000 from me
I don't mind the stock camera, but I do prefer the HTC Music app. So I would love to see this.
On a down note, I recently read something over at MoDaCo that Paul had written about porting Desire to the N1. Most, if not all, of the issues he is having are caused by Sense calling upon many additions to the kernel, which is heavily modified and therefore very different from the vanilla kernels floating around.
He mentioned the camera app using certain things in or created by the Desires kernel, which is why I highly doubt we will be porting the apps any time soon.
oh yes, i would LOVE the desire camera app!
i had the same idea
i spent all the afternoon trying to install the HTCCamera.apk, plus the according libs, but it looks that something is lacking in the kernel or in the framework (i also injected all the htc relative jars in the /system/framework unsuccessfully)
I Hate sense, but it would really be nice to have the camera, the music, and also the contacts widgets.
Maybe we can try the reverse : use the modaco rom and patch it with cyanogen's kernel.
The only thing why i don't use modaco alpha rom is :
1 - i hate sense (really )
2 - i need a lot of memory and i miss the 2nd bank patch

Not quite how it works on Android - Java, man, Java
What i ended up doing in this scenario is just running the MoDaCo custom rom, but disabling and deleting Rosie and its widgets, along with the other apps like footprints which i never use. It runs the stock Launcher2 for home, but i still have the Desire's contacts, camera, music etc.
From what i hear, you can still install some of the stock .apks to replace ones you dont like from desire (like stock Mms.apk rather than the one that ships in Rosie roms)
Works for my needs (or desires anyway... no pun intended.)
Give it a whirl by going into your apps list, selecting rosie, then clearing defaults. When you press home next it'll ask you if you wanna use home or Rosie, with an option to make it default. Could be close enough to what people are looking for, and in any event its far easier to mod Desire to be more stock than vice versa. Most of these are even available as options in the kitchen as well.
EDIT - you'll need to pull the launcher2.apk from an earlier build, as it appears it isnt included in alpha 17 onward...

Flashed this rom and here is what I found:
Bluetooth is working, WiFi is not; unable to start.
Camera working with flash.
Hard keyboard works except:
No lights. No FN and Shift indicator. no ? or /
Ive tried both radio images (7.09.35.10 and 7.08.35.04)
Neither seem stable, my connections bounces from 3G to H(HSPDA?) and back.
I was barely able to sign into Google. (build.prop issue?)

This is one of the fastest Android systems I've used. It scores 1670 on Quadrant. Ive had tested others which score higher (into the 2k range), but this one just seems sooo much quicker. Only thing I've found that I don't like is that some apps dont fill the screen(the slidelock screen, pandora, speed test). I am not used to such a small dpi and having a case on the phone makes it hard to drag down the notification bar, but that may be from my sausage fingers. Also, I cant seem to be able to pin an app shortcut onto the desktop with a long press. Doesnt seem to be an option for it like other roms I've tried. But so far I am liking it, but it will take some time to get used to.
Edit: I figured out how to drop an app on the desktop. Silly me. Longpress on the app from the menu and simply drop it onto the homescreen. So much easier!!!!!!!!!!
Will give it a spin
Alright glad to see some gb hitting the threads especially on sd --I am running cope's now will give this one a try downloading now its late will work on it tomorrow Thanks for the work

I am one of the guys who contributed on the Sony Ericsson infobar thread. I honestly don't think this launcher have sense dependencies as the phone looks completely sense free and companies like au by kddi love to keep their things the way its supposed to when it comes to flagship devices I.e. their own launcher , software and restrictions.. I will take a look at the files of the a02 but as far as I remember the launcher from the previous a01 did not have dependencies at all aside the launcher itself needing APks to properly work. Nothing to do with framework.

The menus, settings, and status bar all look very sense like to me. . .
Lockscreen, widgets, and music player do too. . .
Well the ui is called officially iida ui and its kddi's own interface, for the phone to have sense ui then that would mean iida(au design part) would not have any input with the design, the previous phone had also some icons that resemble HTC but the phone was sharp and most importantly there were no dependencies with the launcher.
Let's be positive and hopefully it will work.
sent from my SoftBank branded phone.
i hope you can get it working. i'd love to use this on mine
out of the box the apps don't install, it seems like they need to be decompiled and resigned so ill use apk multitool tomorrow to figure out if it works, let's be positive and hopefully it will work so far i can confirm htc garbageware present on the apps folder but the launcher itself and the applications needed are stand alone for example the apps to install to make the launcher initialize are iida_home and iida_widget_home those 2 are the launcher as a "whole". it will give you 2 options one screen for widgets and one with the tiles but i was not able to confirm this as i couldn't install the apps.
will check tomorrow. good night guys.
