My X10 mini pro is showing model:E10i in all applications and secret menu.
I have installed last version from SEUS 2.0.A.0.504, APP2SD and Jitter.
Does anybody know why this happened.
After noticing this I tried to type sms with querty and screen is no flipping.
How can I put back U20i?

Maybe u've install update zip using recovery..then to solved it..use binary flash to get back ur original firmware number..gd luck

you flashed build.prop from another model.
Just use RootExplorer to replace build.prop from the correct model (download correct flash and extract it), or maybe you could just edit it.

The following is just a product of assumption and it is NOT tested. It may brick your phone
Since the last update of SEUS, Sony Ericsson made it almost impossible to unbrand the X10 mini (with the blob_fs file changing method).
However SaintyUK has given us a nice guide about debranding the X10 mini pro here
So let's assume it is working for the X10 mini. The only different thing we need is a new "build.prop" file (UK Generic from a X10 mini)!
See SaintyUK's post for instructions, if anyone is willing to try it.
*EDIT* I have uploaded a different build.prop with changed values in the version of the FW. This might work.
*EDIT2* From the latest results of the members that have tried SaintyUK's method with the attached build.prop files, it seems that it is actually working.
PS:All credits to SaintyUK for his great guide.
DISCLAIMER:MEMBERS HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THIS METHOD IS ACTUALLY WORKING BUT I HAVEN'T AND THEREFORE I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE, IN ANY WAY, FOR BRICKED PHONES.

A little more info, could be quite usefull!
You said "don't use the attached file directly. You mean that in a mini with FW version 1.1.A.0.8 this build.prop (1.2.A.1.174) is not going to work?
But in a branded 1.2.A.1.174 it should work right?

But someone must confirm it first. I cannot confirm it myself because i've already debrand my mini the old fashion way (blob_fs) long time ago

We maybe able to edit the the values in the file. Thats what I did for the X10 Mini Pro. I found the CDF number (post 2 of my thread) and inserted it into the file!
Dosn't work... The original build.prop gets restored after reboot. Used root explorer.. Also somewhere in the forum there is a target-World build.prop

Ok i've edited the build.prop with the value for E10i Generic UK (1237-0392). Also this build.prop is from a E10i 1.1.A.0.8
Hope this will work.

Yes thats correct SEUS will hopefully debrand. Try the 'E10i_build.prop_UK_Generic.rar' file first if not try the other file (see first post)

You cannot use any of the build.prop attached, as they only work for E10i. On the other hand if you find a build.prop of an E10a Generic UK it could work.

If you need/want upgrade your X10i baseband to the last one released by SE (X10a_2_1_A_0_435) and get 2.1.54, please go HERE (all credits to steve.adams.x10)
With this tool you can go SWITCH FROM/TO android 1.6 and 2.1. Just download the firmware rom links posted down and choose.

I already know of at least 1 noobie that got a bit mixed up with these "X10" guides.. I was trying to work out what they were doing wrong trying to flash their mini then I went to the guide they were following (this one ^) and found out they were following it to the letter!! (which ment installing dual touch on a mini!!)
So its not really the best for "Noob's" unless they have a big X10 (not a mini or Pro) or at least something should be added to let them know not to install dual touch
I still don't see why .Sin files are refered to as the "Hard way" I still use the Flash tool I tested for Bin4ry last year when we all updated to 2.1 Nordic... no fancy GUI but simple as, and I have never had a problem flashing my phone.
Still.. nice work (I'm so old skool I didn't even realise there were ftf file's until I read this guide )

If you read well you don`t see any dualtouch on mini or mini pro. I can`t be blamed if people get so excited and don`t read can i?
I put that way (hard) because it`s harder. Well not harder but need more stpes to accomplish final result.
And last. From 026 version and next we`re only be able to flash through this type of files(ftf).

So i tried to activate JIT after rooting my x10 mini using your flashtool. Everything was right until the reboot. It is said in other forum the reboot would take at least 5min but in my case, it took more than 1hour!!
So now i'm stuck on the SE logo for more than 2 hours (lol). Can anyone help me solving this problem please?

this is same thing happening to me too, i used flash tool earlier (2 hours earlier), now i rooted and optimized my mini, it rebooted and is stuck at SE Logo, i guess JIT is not correctly integrated in mini through this tool, am re flashing now...

hi people !
i tryed flashing my x10 mini with this manual. but process is wery slowly. from 2 houwers i flashing only: kernel, amms, fota and dsp... This is only 40 Mb... The system files is 230 MB. My buttery can't working more then 4-5 howers when phone is flashing, how i can flashing qucly? May be i do something wrong?
Win 7 32bit, releases of fireweare and flashtool is latest from this site.
Hey dude, I think you might be trying to flash the X10 firmware on you mini... not a good idea... (as the X10 firmware is way bigger and won't fit on a mini, not that it would work even if it did fit )
I suggest downloading the right version for your phone.. a mini is an E10i/a and a pro is a U20i/a
and @Rendeiro.
Thanks for adding the warning to the top of the Noob guide should save us some headaches until the new version is out and working (then we can work on a mini instruction set.. seems a waste of time re writing it until the new version is released)

The flashtool is an universal x10 tool. It was build to work on every x10 family, so yes. Use at your will

Hi... I have this problem, first my phone is an xperia x10 mini pro, ok i use the U20i NLU20i ITA - Thks to ginoscopesce for this one, but now my phone is carrier locked to Italy i guess. What can i do cause now is only a music player i cant use my SIM card. Thanks.

I installed minicm7 (gingerbread) and now I discover that backup and restore don´t work.
I have a x10mini and if you can enlighten-me how you put backup and restore working in gingerbread, or a way to restore the data inside the .sbf I really appreciate.
Realise that bumping this after 6 months is unlikely to help, but I also need back up and restore for an x10 mini pro.

Hi, my errors in that area of xrecovery were solved by renaming the file. Make sure there is no spaces in the name. So 2.2 not 2.2 !!.
This is the Mini section, no? You have that on the Mini, not pro? And did you try it from the pro section? I thought I read Owain saying he tried it on his Mini and it bricked it.
I'm curious to know what works!

Nah i did almost brick my mini pro xD
I did flashed a wrong system.img and SEUS sais my phone wasn't a pro but i fixed that cm6 pro works on mini but with more bugs look into the mini section for wiilweers version that one is for the mini

I didn't got the dualtouch of Slade (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064558)
working on my mini pro (got all the requirements).
Weird is, that I got it working before I made a mistake with flashing a custom.zip,
that was not made for mini pro (really dumb, I know )
So I had to reflash with SEUS (bootloop) and got Slades CM7 with MiniCM7 for Mini Pro v14.5.
But when I now try to pich-zoom in Browser or any other app it doesn't do anything.
Would be really awesome if someone got a clue for me,
why it isn't working

Try to reinstall the dualtouch driver.
For me works (I had the same problem).
Which one did you take, because there are two:
One in zip for xrecovery and another with manual installation ?
