Will require removal of current version. Please note I am note responsible for any errors that may occur.
The steps that worked for me are as follows:
Remove libswype from system/lib
Remove swype.apk from system/app
Reboot into recovery, clear dalvik.cache.
Install new swype.
Good luck!

You are very welcome. Original finding came from one of the guys over at tw forums. Just thought I share with some of my fellow.vibrant modders
Nero v3 / voodoo504
sbg 2.2 +
Is it safe to clear the dalvik cache if I have voodoo enabled?
I have many times without issue. Just be prepared for longer than usual boot up.
Nero v3 / voodoo504
sbg 2.2 +
works with the ginger clone. liked this better than the swype that's pre installed on a stock vibrant.
Works perfectly on Axura 2.2.5.9

good day everyone. i've just installed bionix fusion 1.2 but erroneously uninstalled my swype keyboard. I read somewhere that one can unzip the bionix rom and copy the swype.apk into the system/app off the vibrant using root explorer. i have done just that but the problem is anytime i past into the system/app, its never there (system/app) when i check. i usually get the prompt that its been successfully copied but when i check its not there. is there somethign i am doing wrong? Please can anyone tell me how to get the swype keyboard back on my vibrant. will appreciate every response. thank you
I forgot to add...i have tried using apps installer to install the swype.apk but it was unsuccessful. Please i need help on getting my lovely swype back

Thanks willcwells. Please, do I have to restore my backed up nandroid (stock rom ) first or can I just flash the bionix fusion over it again straight?

You can just reflash fusion again, it will wipe so you might want to titanium backup your apps and data.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but have you seen the theme restore I posted in my thread? That will bring you back to the stock Nero v3 theme.

Use adb or Root Explorer, or something similar to copy twframework-res.apk found in the deodexed JL5 ROM to system/framework/. You may want to backup your current twframework-res.apk just to be safe. If you're not comfortable with that, I'll make this into an update.zip for CWM and post it in my thread sometime tomorrow.

Try the twframework-res.apk from the deodexed stock JL5 ROM, the one from the ROM you're using could have been changed. Not sure though.

OK, so after having to hard reset and flash my Odex UVJL4 Rom again. since OCLF is now gone. I want to try the Voodoo Lag Fix instead. been reading it uses EXT4 instead of EXT2. which seems better! OK, so any flashable Voodoo Lag Fix that will work with my Rom without any issues? Would like to use Rom Manager if possible! I found stock+Voodoo-Froyo-T959-UVJL4-unsigned-update file in one of the other post but is that one for my Rom? says something about not for e2 or e3 recovery.
just making sure! Thanks a million!
This one is the one I'm talking about! will this work with my Rom! Thanks!

Yes flash thru rom manager. After you flash it will take several minutes to convert to ext4. A robotic female voice will keep you updated. Don’t do anything to your phone during this time.

Any issues with the voodoo lag fix?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
None at all. Its not as scary as you would think. Its really easy to disable with supercurios kernel.

Ok so sorry about asking so many questions. So where do I start? Already got Rom Manager installed. What do I do now? I'm using just odex uvjl4 rooted stock Rom. Downloaded the voodoo uvjl4 flashable Rom. What do i do with the Rom now? Thanks a million!
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Its cool. I just hope I can help out. Put the kernel on your internal sd card and flash thru rom manager. That's it. It will take some time to convert to ext4 so be patient.
Powered by Axura with a dash of Voodoo
You don't have to do anything with your rom. Your only replacing your kernel.

Ok I heard the ladies voice. But how do I know if the voodoo lag fix is installed? And how do I turn it off if I want too. Thanks
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
If you heard the voice then it installed. You can always run a quadrant score to make sure. If its around 1400+ then its installed. Around 1000 and its not. To disable go to recovery by 3 button combo. Volume rockers plus power. That will take you to a red clockwork menu. You will see voodoo as an option go into it to disable or to re-apply.

Don't use rom manager to get to recovery. It wont take you to the red recovery.

Coolio! So it converted the file system to ext.4 same as the nexus s uses? Awesome!
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Yes it do. I've flashed boot animations and black froyo without disabling voodoo and haven't had any issues. But make sure you disable when necessary.

Hello community,
I just installed an instance of a deodexed KA7 stock rooted rom that does not have a custom shutdown menu. Can some one point me in the right direction for one compatible with such rom? It must have the reboot and download options.
Thanks

Thanks birgertime. I actually should have made myself more clear. All I want is the custom shutdown apk. Not the entire rom, I'm actually happywith the stock KA7 for now.

Creating a custom shut down menu requires modifying the framework of a ROM and cannot be in the form of an APK.
You could try a program called QuickBoot. You can find it on the market I believe
Guys, im with this canadian carrier called moblicity. Ive tried all the settings they have given me and my MMS will not go through whatsoever. My data is working, so are regular texts. I can make calls without a problem also. Anyone else out there with similar issues?

Try pushing the mms.apk from the ROM u r running alone. If that doesn't werk try reflashing the ROM again.

ok a little help here, what exactly does that mean? pushing the mms.apk from the ROM?
There is a great app called root explorer that will allow you to take an .apk from the .zip of the ROM u r on and you can paste it in /system/app/ and that replaces the mms.apk assuming u r rooted and can find the appropriate ROM. Honestly I'd just flash something else. Good luck!
