I have ported the DesireHD Gloss Carbon Fiber HD Theme to my ROM.

i am not for carbon themes that have been made but.. this is one badass looking theme
ok I'm going to try something and see how it goes. I know we all have different likes and dislikes. or maybe just want to have something different. so if you guys would like something switched out from other themes I'm taking requests. if its something I can't do ill tell you. and also the links will be posted on GR8's site. this is his rom and his theme he ported over. I'm only doing simple editing. so the credits go to him and anyone else he mentioned. please send me links to the original thread of what you will want switched so the proper credits can be given.

also if its wanting something like a app removed or boot sound or something added i can do that as well, that way the dev's dont get tied down and can do more of the big stuff

I later went to the ROMs section to check it out and I see GorillaSense-DHD-MT4G there, but considering it's in the ROMs section as well as judging from the file size at the download link, it does seem to be a ROM rather than a theme: GorillaSense-DHD-MT4G-v2.2.4.zip (285.14 MB)
So what I basically want to ask is...did you release this theme as a ROM too? And where is the download link for the theme-only version for MyTouch 4G?

With all the updates and the sweet theme, I think I found my new daily! This ROM is fast! The CF clock lags a little but its not a deal breaker! Thanks Gorilla!

prob with rom
Yo guys i just tried to flash this rom and it didn't work, after i used clockwork i rebooted into install from zip and installed it, then when the phone booted it kept rebooting into htc boot numerous times, kinda like it was failing to load. Have any of you had this happen?? let me know what i could do for this thanks. BTW i downloaded the rom from gorillas page, kinda upset since i've been looking for a great rom. Thanks

yes i flashed it and when it was done installing it just kept rebooting
but wasn't this a full rom install?? i thought that downloading and installing this was going to change all the looks, like iced glacier......

Thanks for the camera zip, tiger. I didn't even use the FFC today so didint even notice. Would it be difficult for you to change the carbon them status bar to the revolution ones? They just look much cleaner, but I like the launch bar if this one better LOL! If not I can live with the carbon theme. I just posted a pic in gorillas thread where I mixed this theme with the button > browser setup!

Forgive me, but I'm still new to the Android OS....
just wondering if it's safe (or relatively safe) to install a custom theme over a custom rom? Specifically epic 2.5 in this case.
Just curious before I jump in and make things more awkward than necessary.
Yes. My rudimentary understanding of android is that themes are simply changing the visual aspects of Android and not the underlying function.
ROMs will replace the OS with a customized/altered version.
So FWIW this did install fine over Epic 2.5, however it didn't change the bottom row softkeys (to 5 instead of 3) at all, which was my major motivation to check it out in the first place.
Uninstall for now, new ver of epic supposed to be coming out any time now anyway.

To get the bottom 5 icons, you need launcherpro. Search for it in the market.

Thanks for this theme, I love it. I ran into an issue though, my Gmail updated and the icon went back to the original, non-themed one. I was hoping unistalling the updates and rebooting would make it go back to the blue one but it didnt. Do I have to re-theme to get it to go back to the blue icon?
im having some serious issues. i got my phone rooted (atleast i think it is) but i cant get the bootstraper to work at all. I have astro file manager and i placed it on the the sdcard unzipped. i unzipp it but cannot find the apk file to install it. help!!
Question: Can this be run over top of the 2.4.0 update (either the MDW/TBH full R2D2 ROM or one of Motoboy's de-bloated versions), or will that "downgrade" all of the files? I like the dark + blue hues, but don't want to revert back to the original 2.2 files.

second. how did you get the icons to appear in the launchbar? i have launcherpro but can't get them to come up as the icons you have in the theme

Ok so dilip007 asked me to make a tutorial on how to port themes to our htc wildfire and also other users have asked as well. So here's a guide for most of you noobies. This tool basically allows you to port a theme or a 'themed rom' into the rom you are currently using. This is for windows only, if you want to use the theme injector, you could run windows on a virtual machine or whatever.
Firstly: Note that not all themes can be ported to your rom. You should only port themes that have the same or similar framework to your rom. So for example, Mimimal Matte CM6 Rom, this themed rom will only work on our cm6.1 rom for the wildfire (yes i tried it).
Anyway, you need to download the theme porter from here:

When you've finished downloading the theme injector, extract it somewhere to a folder.
Go to the folder and inside you'll find an image_magick folder, open it and install image magick. (you need it to port hdpi to mdpi)
Ok,say i want to port the minimal matte cm6 rom into my rom(which is cm6.1)
Instructions
1. Download the theme you want to use, place both the theme and your rom into the root of the folder.
2. Open the theme_injector file, a cmd prompt window will open up. It will ask you, 'wheres the theme you want to inject?' Type in the name of the theme followed by .zip at the end. e.g. CM6_Minimal Matte 1.5.zip
3. It will then ask you, where is the rom that you want to inject the theme to. I would type in cm_buzz_full-60.zip
4. It will then ask you if this is hdpi to mdpi port. (If the theme you are porting is from the hero, g1, or mdpi device, then press n and then press enter) (If the theme is from a desire, n1, droid x etc, then press y and then enter).
5. The theme injector will do it's thing, don't touch it, when it's done the cmd prompt will close by itself. The porting process normally takes around 5-10 minutes. Now, go look into the folder and you will find your new themed rom which would be named, 'themed bla bla bla' in the example's case, 'themed-cm_buzz_full-60.zip'
6. Since your rom is now themed, i would recommend doing a nandroid backup first, and then flashing it over your current rom. If it doesn't work or dies, do a full wipe and flash your themed rom.

How are they useless? The themes that you need to download are right there in the links for use in cm6. All you have to do is scroll down or read a little bit.
I'm so tired of hearing responses like this. And why would i upload them? Besides, not everyone uses cyanogenmod. I just posted this guide for people who have trouble or just asked on how to port themes, you guys could have easily followed the same guide in the original thread as well, i'm not providing a database on themes you can use, you can go find them yourself.

This was using sympnotic's gingerbread theme for cm6.1, i modified it later to make the icons blue , but anyways.
I'll try make a gingerbread theme for htc sense, but since im not using a sense rom, might be difficult to see if it will work, i'll upload it soon for you guys to try.
i'm not that good at theming, but im learning so yeah, do a nandroid backup just in case, when i send it to you guys (still haven't fully learnt how to meddle with xml's properly)

Round icons by kon, dock icons are suave (modified by me) and simi clock, extended controls and battstat
Ill see about these themes later, it might be because they are HD.

This is a Gingerbread theme for Ice-Glacier or any other stock myTouch 4G rom. This theme changes icons, status bar, adds SEARCH functionality to the Genius button and many other things. This is not a final theme though, there are many things that are not themed yet, but a good amount of it is. Themed items list, screenshots, and download links below.
Note: If you are running a 3.0 version of Clockwork, you may need to flash back to Clockwork 2.5.1.2 for this to work, then reflash your previous recovery. Thanks eliasadrian for the tip

-Genius button into Search button
-Almost every status bar icon is Gingerbread themed (with battery percent)
-Instead of an 'H' icon for data, it is a '4G' icon
-Drop down menu is themed
-Many stock applications are Gingerbread themed
-App background is themed to have a 3D "showcase" effect that matches the highlight color of each of the myTouch themes (Safari theme is not themed yet)
-WiFi calling is themed to have lime green colors to match Gingerbread theme
-Changed the Browser icon on the dock to make it look better with the rest of the dock
-The settings app has changed icons
-The Power Control widget has Gingerbread icons
-Might be some more that I'm not thinking of,screenshots show examples of most of these themed items

That's strange, I tested the download on my phone and it worked fine. I will post the framework-res.apk, but do know that there is more themed then in the framework, i.e. apps.

I'm getting the same error. Flashed with clockwork recovery 3.0.0.5 and 2.5.1.2
it will start than the installation will abort.

I'm running Orange Glacier which is just a stock rom with EXT 4
Finally got it to work and its a great theme! When you go into settings and some icons are gingerbread and others are Sense, that kinda bothers me hopefully we can get a fix but other than that it looks great!

Good I'm glad to hear! What did you do to get it to work if you don't mind me asking? I made it on Iced-Glacier so its hard to test other roms. Also, the settings icons are what I'm working on now.
EDIT: A new update.zip is posted in the original post that themes the other icons.

Wow that was quick! I did just that. Flashed Ice Glacier and it worked fine. On Orange Glacier I think the error said something along the lines of it not being edify, I read on another thread that means that the .zip needs a different clockwork recovery?

I have a stock MT4G and was wondering if I could install this without rooting the phone? If so, could you provide a guide how? I'm fairly new to this and help would be greatly appreciated from my fellow xda members!

Yea, flash back to 2.5.1.2 and do it then flash back to 3.0.0.6. The same thing happens with battery mods, I had to do this to change the colorful mods that come with Orange Glacier.

ill give it a try. should come up w something soon. got pretty basic knowledge of android stuff only started using it a couple of months but i'm pretty handy at pshop and ive edited apk icons from pshop a few times and signed w apk tool. prbly gonna just send you the folder, im sure it will take me way too much trial and error. any ideas? im sick of honeycomb look.

Heh maybe . . . lol Ya he sent it to me - I will test it and upload it at some point today.
Updated the black theme to v2, now includes battery icons.
Added JBoogie3's LiquidArc theme (http://modmymobile.com/forums/640-motorola-defy-roms/561166-rom-jboogie3-liquidarc-3-21-2011-a.html).
So thank you JBoogie3 for porting this theme over.
Would love to see BlurGinger (Korea) Theme here too. The blue titlebars and green select boxes are so beatifull... too bad it's a Blur rom.

Applied the LiquidArc theme via recovery, now i'm without lock screen. When I press power it open the phone without lock.
Barebones 14 (downloaded today, not the old zip), flashed today on full SBF 3.4.2-155-002.
Another problem: when holding power, the only option that it has is to turn off the phone, airplane and silent mode wasn't there
I have tried to zip the black v2 theme to solve the problem, without success. Maybe I'm messing with something. Using tenfar recovery, will try with kb7sqi. If this bug is only with my phone, (using it an entire day with this) there's another bug here: sometimes when i pull the phone from my pants (calça?), the dialer starts and I can't go back to the launcher, holding back, home, or whatever key. Only power off and on again i can use the phone... strange. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Better do the wipe->nandroid->fiexd sbf->recovery->barebones than full sbf->recovery->barebones?
Dont understand why you install Barebones twice.
Should go: restore nandroid -> fixed sbf on reboot from recovery -> back to recovery -> factory wipe -> install Barebones.
Also obviously I dont get your errors with the lockscreen because I took the screenshots above.

He's made AOSP, Gingerbread and Honeycomb on that ROM.

Hi fritolays, i come from the Blade community at Modaco. I maintained 15 themes i ported over 3 different froyo roms. I tried to make a theme for Korean froyo but boot looped.
Just wondering have you resigned the framework etc in your barebones rom? Have you signed the themes in this thread? Did you sign with platform cert or testkeys?
I'm almost positive i get bootloops due to signing. I know they are different roms but i see you made it work for you somehow!

Awesome thanks breezasib - added skin to OP.
Also updated themes to v1.5.
With black theme, when you call someone, then press 'home' button to hide current conversation and open workspace, green bar @ top fades from green to white (and white text @ top bar become blind).
I think, green to black fade will be better. But probably it is imposible, because this green bar part of dialer or not?

So, you've had a play around with the Venom Hub and seen how many customisation options are available.
But somehow, it's not quite enough?! Well, that's where the RedVenom theme comes in.
This is a full flashable theme that takes the customisation to the next level.

@Yuris33 already ported them for the hox ---> here
as we now have the same devs for viper roms they should work fine for you.
only problem are modified .jar files... but this theme doesnt use any
--> at least the blue and the orange one dont...

I can confirm the blue and orange ones are working fine with me, Hox+, ViperX 2.0.3.
@fichl a small request, the way you made, venom red, could you please make a dark venom blue theme for us?
Venom Red is working flawlessly!
Was always jealous the one x guys got themes and we didn't, never knew a few worked but thank you for the port anyway, I love it [emoji1]

wow, i didnt knew you guys never had any themes for you x+.
viperX 407 was the first one of the new devs... so since then all themes suitable for viperx 407 should work on viperx+ 203
except they use modified jar files

if u are on ViperX+ rom 2.0.3, then u need to download the zip, put it on phone and flash it.. you will get this look.

Which rom are you on, i think it might work for other rom as well. could you please try flashing and report back, please take a nandroid backup before flashing.

I will be flashing a ROM for the first time and it will be Android Revolution HD. I will look when I am done if I got the steel balls to do it.

Flash this mod again and choose restore from aroma. It automatic backup original file on sdcard
