ill give it a try. should come up w something soon. got pretty basic knowledge of android stuff only started using it a couple of months but i'm pretty handy at pshop and ive edited apk icons from pshop a few times and signed w apk tool. prbly gonna just send you the folder, im sure it will take me way too much trial and error. any ideas? im sick of honeycomb look.

Heh maybe . . . lol Ya he sent it to me - I will test it and upload it at some point today.
Updated the black theme to v2, now includes battery icons.
Added JBoogie3's LiquidArc theme (http://modmymobile.com/forums/640-motorola-defy-roms/561166-rom-jboogie3-liquidarc-3-21-2011-a.html).
So thank you JBoogie3 for porting this theme over.
Would love to see BlurGinger (Korea) Theme here too. The blue titlebars and green select boxes are so beatifull... too bad it's a Blur rom.

Applied the LiquidArc theme via recovery, now i'm without lock screen. When I press power it open the phone without lock.
Barebones 14 (downloaded today, not the old zip), flashed today on full SBF 3.4.2-155-002.
Another problem: when holding power, the only option that it has is to turn off the phone, airplane and silent mode wasn't there
I have tried to zip the black v2 theme to solve the problem, without success. Maybe I'm messing with something. Using tenfar recovery, will try with kb7sqi. If this bug is only with my phone, (using it an entire day with this) there's another bug here: sometimes when i pull the phone from my pants (calça?), the dialer starts and I can't go back to the launcher, holding back, home, or whatever key. Only power off and on again i can use the phone... strange. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Better do the wipe->nandroid->fiexd sbf->recovery->barebones than full sbf->recovery->barebones?
Dont understand why you install Barebones twice.
Should go: restore nandroid -> fixed sbf on reboot from recovery -> back to recovery -> factory wipe -> install Barebones.
Also obviously I dont get your errors with the lockscreen because I took the screenshots above.

Hi fritolays, i come from the Blade community at Modaco. I maintained 15 themes i ported over 3 different froyo roms. I tried to make a theme for Korean froyo but boot looped.
Just wondering have you resigned the framework etc in your barebones rom? Have you signed the themes in this thread? Did you sign with platform cert or testkeys?
I'm almost positive i get bootloops due to signing. I know they are different roms but i see you made it work for you somehow!

Awesome thanks breezasib - added skin to OP.
Also updated themes to v1.5.
With black theme, when you call someone, then press 'home' button to hide current conversation and open workspace, green bar @ top fades from green to white (and white text @ top bar become blind).
I think, green to black fade will be better. But probably it is imposible, because this green bar part of dialer or not?

Forgive me, but I'm still new to the Android OS....
just wondering if it's safe (or relatively safe) to install a custom theme over a custom rom? Specifically epic 2.5 in this case.
Just curious before I jump in and make things more awkward than necessary.
Yes. My rudimentary understanding of android is that themes are simply changing the visual aspects of Android and not the underlying function.
ROMs will replace the OS with a customized/altered version.
So FWIW this did install fine over Epic 2.5, however it didn't change the bottom row softkeys (to 5 instead of 3) at all, which was my major motivation to check it out in the first place.
Uninstall for now, new ver of epic supposed to be coming out any time now anyway.

To get the bottom 5 icons, you need launcherpro. Search for it in the market.

Thanks for this theme, I love it. I ran into an issue though, my Gmail updated and the icon went back to the original, non-themed one. I was hoping unistalling the updates and rebooting would make it go back to the blue one but it didnt. Do I have to re-theme to get it to go back to the blue icon?
im having some serious issues. i got my phone rooted (atleast i think it is) but i cant get the bootstraper to work at all. I have astro file manager and i placed it on the the sdcard unzipped. i unzipp it but cannot find the apk file to install it. help!!
Question: Can this be run over top of the 2.4.0 update (either the MDW/TBH full R2D2 ROM or one of Motoboy's de-bloated versions), or will that "downgrade" all of the files? I like the dark + blue hues, but don't want to revert back to the original 2.2 files.

second. how did you get the icons to appear in the launchbar? i have launcherpro but can't get them to come up as the icons you have in the theme

i am not for carbon themes that have been made but.. this is one badass looking theme
ok I'm going to try something and see how it goes. I know we all have different likes and dislikes. or maybe just want to have something different. so if you guys would like something switched out from other themes I'm taking requests. if its something I can't do ill tell you. and also the links will be posted on GR8's site. this is his rom and his theme he ported over. I'm only doing simple editing. so the credits go to him and anyone else he mentioned. please send me links to the original thread of what you will want switched so the proper credits can be given.

also if its wanting something like a app removed or boot sound or something added i can do that as well, that way the dev's dont get tied down and can do more of the big stuff

I went to your site and on the download page for Themes and Add-ons, I can't find GorillaSense-DHD-MT4g. I did find [THEME]-Carbon-HD-Blue there but that appears to be for the HTC Desire, judging from the file name at the download link: Gorilla_Carbon_desire_HDv1.72.zip (49.54 MB)
I later went to the ROMs section to check it out and I see GorillaSense-DHD-MT4G there, but considering it's in the ROMs section as well as judging from the file size at the download link, it does seem to be a ROM rather than a theme: GorillaSense-DHD-MT4G-v2.2.4.zip (285.14 MB)
So what I basically want to ask is...did you release this theme as a ROM too? And where is the download link for the theme-only version for MyTouch 4G?

GorillaSense-DHD-MT4G-v2.2.4.zip (285.14 MB) is the rom it is a sense based rom. it isnt themed. it is the sense rom from HTC Desire ported to mthe mt4g. the theme is Gorilla_Carbon_desire_HDv1.72.zip (49.54 MB) wich he ported over to work on his rom witch is a add on, that will theme his rom. what is it you are looking for?
With all the updates and the sweet theme, I think I found my new daily! This ROM is fast! The CF clock lags a little but its not a deal breaker! Thanks Gorilla!

prob with rom
Yo guys i just tried to flash this rom and it didn't work, after i used clockwork i rebooted into install from zip and installed it, then when the phone booted it kept rebooting into htc boot numerous times, kinda like it was failing to load. Have any of you had this happen?? let me know what i could do for this thanks. BTW i downloaded the rom from gorillas page, kinda upset since i've been looking for a great rom. Thanks

yes i flashed it and when it was done installing it just kept rebooting
but wasn't this a full rom install?? i thought that downloading and installing this was going to change all the looks, like iced glacier......

Thanks for the camera zip, tiger. I didn't even use the FFC today so didint even notice. Would it be difficult for you to change the carbon them status bar to the revolution ones? They just look much cleaner, but I like the launch bar if this one better LOL! If not I can live with the carbon theme. I just posted a pic in gorillas thread where I mixed this theme with the button > browser setup!

..I find the xRecovery way of installation much easier & quicker
Install this theme via xRecovery:
(click, if you want to know how to get recovery on your device)
1. Download the update.zip file: UPDATE.ZIP
2. Do not extract it, copy the update.zip file to the sdcard
3. Reboot your device into Recovery Mode
4. Go to install custom zip option
5. Click, Yes - Install /sdcard/update.zip, wait a little
6. Reboot your device and Enjoy
If you have any problems with any of the apks then re-install them manually.

Great Job Manny! You should take a look at the "mobile data disabled" icon. Other than that it is perfect. You have change the "blink" sounds, too, right?
EDIT: Scratch that. First of all, I don't think any sounds are included in framework apk (how did I think that?) and secondly, I flashed a new rom yesterday and didn't change the default notification. Nah, a lof of hours over the phone cause these side effects

Instructions for applying theme
Always before flashing anything or modifying any part of your system make sure you have a backup, if not, make one. With that said I am not responsible for any problems you may incur by choosing to flash this theme.
1- put zip on your sdcard
2- make sure you have a backup
3- Boot to Clockwork recovery and flash
4- reboot
I have provided a zip to flash to get you back to stock Gingerbread theme if you dont like this theme. I provide this zip so you dont have to take the time it takes to restore a nandroid or flash the whole rom again.
Dont forget to hit the thanks button if you like this post or theme. Any feedback is welcome. Requests to add things are welcome also, if I like your idea i will add it. This is a work in progress.
I uploaded theme for newest RC 1.5. I didn't include the transparent market in the theme zip so if you have the newest market it wont over wright it. I did provide a zip to flash just for the red market.

The green wifi symbol is from wifi tether app. Normal wifi icon is red. Let me know what you think. Also if you have any suggestions to make it a better theme.

Not sure why but it did nothing. I went in the custom recovery through the bootmenu and then told it to install the zip. I did pick the Red Ginger 1.0 zip. Nothing changed. So I went and looked at the theme chooser nothing there but from what I understood it should have changed automatically. So I went in again and reinstalled the zip. Nothing.
Ok since then I installed the one that just said it was beta. That worked.

So I went and looked at the theme chooser nothing there but from what I understood it should have changed automatically. So I went in again and reinstalled the zip. Nothing.
Ok since then I installed the one that just said it was beta. That worked.

That is weird it should work. The one that didn't work was 1.0? Both have the same structure only difference is changes to framework. I'll look into it. Did you try downloading 1.0 again? I would like to get that one working for you as it looks much better. Try downloading it again if you already haven't.
EDIT: I packed the zip file wrong I fixed it and uploaded again if you download again it will work. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for reporting this problem.

But I have a little bug, for me the SystemUI "data and signal icons" doesn't change... And it's the same for the market... And the notification power icon...
What can I do?
I've instal the "Red_Ginger_1.0_RC1.zip" juste after install the RC1 v2 on my defy.
And an other question: where can I take the wallpaper? I love it!

Update : Done, It is pretty cool. But, It gets some problem.. After sometime porting any of ur themes or ROMs, the home key and search key do not work.. In the beginning, they work.. But, later get disabled.. Is there any fix for this? Many Thanks
Cool theme bro! Applied it over Artic 2.0 and using DarkSteel Lite theme with GO Launcher EX. Its the best combo ever.
BTW there are some odd issues here and there, the lockscreen placeholders for the unlock, volume switch and camera are out of place and the market search and voice buttons are too big.

@nagnrik, may have something to do with the theme uninstaller. Try clean reflash of the rom without the theme uninstaller
@Aashrey99, probably issue with the .9.pngs. Will get the images fixed in next update

After installing this theme my notification bar and settings are disabled and do not even appear even after hard reset from boot , keeps on crashing is there any other way to reset this phone
Read the prerequisites bro. You need to be deodexed and running on The Arctic rom in order to flash this theme
But for now flash the official Rom through rsdlite to go back to stock

I just installed this last night over top of The Arctic ROM. I'm also using GO Launcher EX with the Classic Blue theme (which takes care of most icons and the app drawer) and goes really well with this theme's menus and status bar.
I'd post screenshots but for some reason the colours come out screwy for my GO Launcher screenshots.

BigDx is currently working on CDMA version based on Arctic 2.3.1. Once he's done I'll port it over for gsm
