Does anyone have a CWM flashable stock image (JFD)?
I've searched for it and not found it.
Or is there a way to extract the rfs files in the ODIN image? I need some of the files from the stock ROM, but don't want to flash...
I would also greatly appreciate a .zip jfd file or even a functional odin tar and 512 pit file. Ive searched for hours and downloaded many different links from xda but never had any luck getting back to stock jfd or ji6. I usually just odin to eugenes 2.2 froyo and then flash new roms from there.

Here you go, everything you need to ODIN back to JFD. Check the bible for the latest version of ODIN.

I use the older odin. All that works for me. But it has never failed.

To flash back to stock odin is the way, you have to repartition. CWM is not good for downsizing.

Does anyone know where I can get the KA6 .tar file? I want to flash it using Odin3, instead of using a ROM.
Also, can I still use the 512 .pit file to flash it? Or is there a newer .pit?
Thanks
Hey.
I have the files, .pit and .tar for true 2.1 stock and I always used to go back to that using ODIN.
Now that 2.2 is out, can I odin back to official 2.2?
If so, where can I find the .pit and .tar files?
Thank you
Odin to Stock official 2.2 files?
I've been looking for these too... Is there a link somewhere? Thanks.
you dont need the .pit but it is the same 512.pit you can get the .tar from the DEV section

But can any plz tell me the easiest way to get my phone back running it only goes to the boot samsung screen i cant get into clockwork but downloading screen. Please and thx plz provide links
You need to use put your phone into download mode, use Odin to flash .
update
the rom i had was bionix frost 2.2.1 is there some kind of way to just reflash a rom to get my phone back running
You can PM tomorrow, if you don’t have the files.
Yes,you need a tar file and using Odin
Your phone is soft brick! You can still flash but only by using Odin. Do you know how to use Odin
If you can still get in to CWM and you left the ROM on your internal SD, just re-flash. Everything should work after that. That would be the easiest way, followed by ODIN.
As long as you have a complete ROM on your internal SD card you should be able to get into recovery (hopefully) via the hardware buttons and re-flash that ROM with its correct kernel.
Otherwise you are stuck having to go with odin/heimdall and flashing it that way.
Goodluck.
how exactly do i use odin i downloaded it but what do i have to do first i still have a copy of the bionix rom on sd
Use the Vibrant Toolbox here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954509 It's the easiest way to go back to stock. Also, anytime you have a problem like this it's best to just Odin back. Reflashing through clockwork can leave alot of bugs.

Can someone please give me a guide on how to install Simply Honey 3.3? last time I flashed it, it gave me a bootloop and I recently fixed my Vibrant and Odin'd Back to Stock JFD Eclair. Thank you
If you want to switch to another rom you can always odin but if your're one of those people that doesnt like waitin download a 2. 2 kernel and extract the tar file usin root explorer after u extract tye tar file go to sgs kernel flasher and select chose kernel after that go to the extracted folder and look for the tar file you extracted and your phones goin to reboot but its not gona change your phone to 2.2.. the only reason you have to s
Flash a 2.2 kernel is because cwm recovery mode doesnt work on simply honey so after you flash the 2.2 kernel use the three button combination to get to cwm recovery mode and just wipe wipe wipe and you can flash the rom want to flash...

If you just finished ODIN to JFD and you rooted and flashed CwMRecovery with ROM manager then just flash that bad boy as normal! Good luck!
Ok, i rooted last night with SuperOneClick (psneuter) and I installed ROM Manager and flashed the Vibrant Recovery.. But now I can't access CWM, i just go into stock recovery. any ideas as to why?
Try reflashing it with rom manager, then when you to reboot into recovery you will likely have to select reinstall packages at least once when you boot into your regular recovery. Until you flash a custom rom this is likely the route that you will have to take each time you boot into CWM
Odin back to stock 2.1, then root with eclair guide. Install the update package twice and the blue recovery should turn green.

Hmm odd what stock rom are you using? Ie ka5? Jk2? Etc. If you are running any stock froyo rom then as movieaddict said you will want to Odin back to 2.1 jfd which has 2e recovery instead of 3e, now I know there is a way to modify 3e recovery to make it work like 2e but iI'm not familiar with the process, search the vibrant development section and you should be able to find the mod there

if he rooted using superone click, it's good guess he's running 2.2. Also, if he can't get into CWM (except he hasn't stated it gives him a signature verification error yet), then he's also probably running a 2.2 build.
The easiest way is to use odin/heimdall.
there are 2 options in this path; odin back to 2.1 (jfd) then flash whatever rom you want from there, or odin a 2.2 voodoo kernel (which has cwm built in) and then flash whatever rom you want.
