Hello
I am right now using the default screen protector that came with the phone and was wondering to to remove it to increse the screen sensitivity
I searched the forum to check it but could find a convincing answer.
So
1. If I remove the pre-applied screen protector will it increse the touch sensitivity (Basic touch and scrolling)
Tried to change the build.prop to increase the windowmgr thing, but it just made scrolling smooth and not the touch.
2. Can the Glass alone hold daily use and resist scratches
Would really apprecite any help
and Moderators if this is a repost please delete it and direct me to the useful thread.
I've got two on and never had any issues.

Is there any method for adjust the screen sensitive? when my finger is wet or the screen dirty , it is difficult to slide for answer call , i need to wipe the screen clean only can function well ....
Just keep a microfiber cloth (the kind you use for sunglasses/eyeglasses) handy.
It gives me great pleasure to clean my screen and look at the shiny smooth surface knowing my finger can glide effortlessly all over it.
Imagine if it were possible to adjust the responsiveness of the screen. You wouldn't be able to control anything!
I found changing to a matte screen protector helped a lot with the screen responsiveness. It also made the screen slightly dimmer, but removed a lot of glare.
I searched through xda but didn't see anything regarding privacy screen for the x10. I bought one on amazon couple weeks ago, turned out it was too thick to sense any touch. I was just wondering if anyone using a privacy screen?
Yes sir, I am, and I havent had any touch problems. I love the way it feels, its not glossy and just gives my white x10i a nice look.
I got it from this ebay store: http://stores.ebay.ca/Accessory-Export?_trksid=p4340.l2563
It was like 8 bucks
Thanks freddy. I bought the same one when they had it on amazon. Do you know if your phone still has that Stock screen protector? I wonder if that makes the difference. I couldn't swipe or press anything
i've been trying to get one as well. any idea where i can get one?
Honestly, I havent a clue. The one that came in the box, I took it off and put it on, then I took it off then put this one on. I havent removed anything else.
i tried before
I work in a accesory store... we have that screen protectors, they look so nice... I haven't tried with my x10 because I used that screen protector with my omnia... (resistive) and i had to press hard... so after 3 o 4 months I had to buy another touch panel for my omnia... X I've changed myself... now it works so good... so... I haven't tried with the X10 because i think that de capacitive touch could get worst.... anybody can take me out of my mistake??
i had one and it just became a annoying cause my screen did not like it
I tried to use one on my beloed X10
but the thing is, it makes the screen sooooooo dim and i have to set the brightness at FULL! and the battery drains like hell!
back to the transparent screen protector!
Screen Filter
I don't know if this has been suggested before here but i have tried it and it works for me.

Depends on whether you have a good screen protector
Good screen protectors shouldn't make the touchscreen less sensitiv.
But if you have not a good one, you can try it, but i dont think that this will reduce you problem, the effect is, if you have an effect, not very big
Little English help:
I think "improve the issue" (like in your post) mean the proglem is getting bigger

Is there any way to change the sensitivity of the proximity sensor. It seems every screen protector I try makes the screen turn off when in a call even without anything near the sensor. I had to cut one of the screen protectors to get around it (but had messed up a corner when applying so I replaced it)
Or is there a way to completely disable it so I just have to hit the power button when in a call to manually turn the screen on or off.
+1
Dont have the same problem but would be helpful.
There is a distance setting in the build.prop file. You could try adjusting that and seeing if that helps.

Well after further testing seems that it didn't fix the problem. Seemed to work when I first made the changes but now the screen is stroll turning off and no matter what I change the value to I can't get the proximity sensor to work right.

According to the official Atrix manual -
http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles...s/StaticFiles/Atrix_US-EN_UG_68014798001B.pdf
Note: Your touchscreen might
stay dark if the sensor just
above it is covered. Don't use
covers or screen protectors (even clear ones) that
cover this sensor. To find Motorola accessories for

Anyway, why do you guys keep using the screen protectors with this gorilla glass phones? I have carried Moto Milestone in my pocket for a year and D2G for 3 months and there are no scratches on them whatsoever.
I use them on every phone I get because although it is gorilla glass it can still get scratches under the right conditions and I for one do not want my $400+ phone to have a scratch on the screen. Never had a phone that had issues like this with screen protectors and the proximity sensor. Multiple iPhones, Dell streak, nexus one, droid, galaxy s. I've tried two different screen protectors with the atria and both have this issue.
I'm having issues with my proximity sensor too, but it seems that I can't make it turn off the screen when I'm talking. I'm not using any screen protector but I do have a case. It was working fine till a week ago but now I just have to block the phone every time I get a call.
The only difference is that I've installed 2 new games, maybe those are affecting the sensor?
Another thing that isn't working anymore is the auto brightness that's always set to minimum, no matter the light conditions. The phone is online for 260+ hours already (had it go to 500+ before but had to turn it off to add a micro sd card, just to be sure it would find it).

Ugh... thing is if you drop your phone, it could crack both with screen protector and without one. If you grind the screen against your keys, it will get scratched through the protective film.
If you use it normally - the chance of scratching it really small. Just my 2 cents.

My wife's phone had a screen protector on and got scratched by being in her purse. The actual screen though had no marks. The screen protectors help. Obviously each incident is different but they can help prevent some damage so in my opinion they are worth it.

Hi there,
Got the same trouble..... but I just noticed it work fine at the sun (outdoor)..... turn the screen off in the shadow..... and switch on in the sun....
so I think a light adjustment has to be done.... but where ?...
Thanks to developers
Its almost a year now, and even though there arent any big scratches , but there are many tiny scratches which results in dragging effect while using the touch screen, It isnt smooth . Planning to change the screen protection , also i want something which isnt finger print magnet. Any advice ?
I search i too
I buy one from amazon.
It was from DIPOS / Crystal Clear.
It is good, but not so good as the original.
The fits is not exactly.
legreco
Thanks .. Any other recommendations ?
I took the top protection off as soon as it came out of the box.
Several weeks later I noticed there was another (Much harder to remove) screen protector. I took this off as it was getting dirty and sctratched. I have never replaced it with anything and I have got no more scratches and never had any issues with the touch screen. i keep my phone in my pocker along with loose change and keys....
I have had my phone for about a year, and had the protector off for about 11 months..it was the best move i made
I found this ----> http://stores.ebay.com/gadgetfix/Sony-Ericsson-/_i.html?_fsub=1408041015 . Hope it suits you.I am searching for an original part (digitaizer and a new panel (WHOLE PANEL!!) ) Tell how it works (IF YOU BUY ofcourse : ) ) Regards!
