Am Autonootered, but remember liking the original stock keyboard and would like to reinstall it as an option to try instead of the droid kb?
Any idea where I can get the .apk?
You should be able to go to Nook Color Tools and click choose keyboard to switch to the other keyboard. Not sure if that is the stock keyboard or not.

It's not there in Nook Color Tools. For me I just have the Multitouch Keyboard and Gingerbread Keyboard options. I too would like to get this keyboard back. Any help is appreciated.

I hate swype as well as the touch keyboard. Its all all about personal preference and I prefer the stock 2.2 keyboard

hold down when entering text until input method appears and switch in there
I'm going to second this request; I would rather have the stock android keyboard than the HTC touch input. Personal preference.

Does anyone know how to flash multi touch keyboard back? I'm not quite happy with the gingerbread keyboard.

if you are running a stock device it should still be installed. you just have to go to the keyboard settings and change the default keyboard to the multitouch.
if you are running gingerblur or greyblur and lost the keyboard just go to the first page of the gingerblur thread and scroll down in the very first post as kennethpen was nice enough to include the stock keyboard apk
I have installed SlideIT keyboard on my phone, I've also tried ICS Keyboard, but no one works for me, Im sure I have enabled it, but always appears the stock keyboard! Is pretty annoying anyone knows what can I do?

OK, my bad, I didn't select an option, IM using SlideIT keyboard now, really cool, with the ICS theme.
Hi!
I love Sony(Ericssons)'s "swype" keyboard. I've tried different sliding keyboards like TouchPal and SlideIt, but they are not nearly as good as Sony's. I'm currently running AOKP(I run AOSP roms mostly), and since it has Android Keyboard instead of Xperia Keyboard, I'm asking someone to post a link or something to a flashable keyboard or something.
I have the keyboard apk on my SD(extracted from a stock rom), and I've tried installing the .apk and pushing it to /system/app, but neither method worked.
I'd be grateful if someone answered!
Thank you!
Try this....
Have you tried my flashable keyboard?

Think it is stock but with swipe you need to set it up from settings to swipe.
Hope it helps

So I just installed Super Jelly Bean 8.0 ROM on my Xperia Mini Pro. Everything works fine except for my text-prediction when I'm using the mechanical keyboard. I already have installed the K/B fix that comes with the ROM.
Do you know how I can enable the text prediction, or if there is a plugin/apk that can do that?
Thank you in advance!
Only stock ROMs have the word prediction by default with physical keyboard since it's provided by the keyboard app, you can get it again downloading "Touchpal" from play store.

Word prediction/auto-fill works normally with the on-screen touch keyboard as it is. Will this app fix the problem with the physical keyboard?

Yes, make it as default keyboard and it should give suggestions.
