You've probably solved this problem by now but there is a way to check in using your pc.

same thing i wanna know

If you still haven't found a fix for this yet, you can try using the m.facebook.com site. The touch site didn't work for me. I don't have a problem with the xdafacebook app though...

[Q] Java in browser

Hello,
I'm trying to surf on the following site : http://www.formula1.com/live_timing/live_timing_popup.html
However, it does not work. I think it is linked to Java.
Does anyone know how to solve this ?
Thx
Works OK for me on Boat browser. It says there's an Android app for the site.
thx for having checked.
do you mean that you registered and saw a table with the lap times for all drivers ?
I just installed Boat Browser and tried but it did not work bteter than Dolphin and stock browser.
It does not tell me that there is something to install.
Do you think that I should try to install and re-install something ?
Thx

Oh, I didn't register. O thought you couldn't browse the site. I will check it out when I have some more time (at work at the moment)
Great. Thanks a lot.
I haven't been to the site, but have you tried the Chrome (beta) browser? It doesn't support flash, which is annoying, but it handles Java, and pretty much everything else better than the stock browser. Someone posted a website that test web browsers and the stock one performed horribly, while Chrome did quite well.
Nope, doesn't seem to work for me either. I just saw the app they recommend

Price FTW

WiFi hotspot

Just spent a month in asia, and it's great to be back! I see there's been quite a bit of development
Anyway, I'm currently staying at a place with no internet, so I'm trying to use my phone as a hotspot. It was working great last night, but it suddenly stopped working while I was downloading a video. It took me to the dreaded upsell page. I was using the apn change method, and I've tried resetting the apn and rebooting.I've also tried the android WiFi tether app with and without Hasoon's method. None of them seem to work correctly. What's funny though is that I can use the hotspot to access google websites, such as gmail and google search, and even facebook. But almost every other site is redirected to the upsell page.
I'm on stock ics. Any ideas?

Apparently T-Mobile have found a workaround as well, a buddy of mine complained of the same thing, we tried everything possible, same issue, therefore they probably blocked it.
Have you tried setting your user agent on the computer to android? It is possible that they are doing some kind of deep packet inspection down to the HTTP header level to filter outs stuff.
Stupid T-Mobile.

If you have Firefox, install this addon:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-switcher/
U could use internet explorer it doesn't or use html website but I know it works cuz its diff from google chrome
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
The pages that work anyway
are all https.
The user agent switcher add-on for Firefox will help. After you've installed, you can get a wider selection of user agents by opening the switcher options, where there is a link to the developerr's website for downloading a bigger selection.

[Q] Question about Internet Steaming

Hi folks. I am using Firefox desktop browsing to listen to XM Radio. However whenever the screen is turned off or I switch apps,
it stops playing. Is there any way I can get it to continue to play in the background?
Thanks
Mike

I believe that's because firefox doesn't do well in the background, I've noticed that when I tried an IRC web client through MOZ I'd lose my settings each time I switched apps. Have you tried using chrome or the XM app? I assume those would be better streamlined...

I will try chrome. The XM app is a separate subscription otherwise I would use that. Also for some reason even though I have installed flash and it works great with Firefox, Dolphin does not recognize if for some reason.

Dolphin takes a little tinkering for flash, if you want to try that this link should guide your way. That sucks that it's a separate subscription for the app...

haha, just tried it myself. It happens to me too when I use the Samnsung browser. But not when I use the chrome or Firefox (with adblock), But I do notice that my chrome browser shared my name with the site. So now the TimesOfIndia says Welcome Alle090 (but using my real name)
And the website is doing allot or reloads. It could be that there is something that the website is doing.
So, Try Firefox and with adblock (Firefox extension)?

why i can't mention in FB on chrome mobile app?

i don't like the fb apps and my phone doesn't have any more space so i use chrome
to be able to use FB but when i try to mention any one in comments or any thing
the selection menu doesn't show up !!
is there any fix to this ? is it a bug in chrome ? but why it works in the desktop site ?
I know you said you don't have any space, but can you try to see if another browser like Firefox gives you the same problem. If it does, then it is most likely a bug on the Facebook's mobile site, and you'll have to wait for them to fix it, maybe use another, small version Facebook app like Facebook Lite, or even some third party ones like https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/bullshified-version-facebook-okay-to-t3586318.
If it works on Firefox, or another browser, then you'll know it is a Chrome bug

Maybe they do not even know how widespread the problem is. If you want, you can maybe report a problem to them. There is apparently a "Report Problem" button somewhere on their site.
You should however consider to maybe use the Lite app, or another third party version, in case they do nothing about the problem.
