You don't necessarily need to disable voodoo if you go from a ROM with Voodoo 5.x enabled kernel to another ROM that utilizes Voodoo infused kernel. I've done it jumping from nero beta v3 with supercurio's jl4 kernel to nerov2+voodoo jl4 to nerov3+voodoo jl5. However, it is recommended to ODIN back to stock before jumping from ROM to ROM. It is also suggested to disable Voodoo just in case, I am just playing danger ranger

You can do that as well
EDIT: just remember to boot into CWR via the power menu and not from the ROM Manager
installed fine! its freaking awesome. lighting fast and no lag!

when you flash a rom does it automatically change what kernel you have?

so i flashed from stock 2.1 to nero v3, than to axura, than a supercurio kernel, and now i've settled for nero v4.1 lol, I'm getting some problems with my data connection, and was just wondering, when I finally flashed, did it also flash my and change my kernel and modem to whatever the dev intended to work well with his rom?

[Q] ota froyo themes

do i have te run a custom rom to install themes?
i have ota ka6 froyo, with voodoo/rooted kernel
pretty much ..yes.. I think a deodex'd version of stock 2.2 allows you to theme. There is a deodex'd version of KA6 in the DEV section if you don't want custom.
do i have to flash a whole rom, or just the kernel?
the whole rom .....disable voodoo first and let it convert & reboot completely
so if i wanna run bionix-v i can just flash without disabling voodoo, since its already voodoo enabled? also would my flashed kernel cause any problems? or will the rom flash ka7 kernel?
It will flash the ka7 voodoo kernel

[Q] bionix v kernal swaping

Greetings! Just a quick question. I recently flashed bionix v 1.3.1 (just amazing).
I then had to take it to thee extreme and flashed destroyer of worlds kernel on it.( again amazing) my question is this. I notices after flashing the kernel my version changed from bionix
To nero w/destroyer of worlds. Soon is this still bionix? Or did the kernel flash nero b4 over
Bionix? Also if I wanted to try the dragon kernel out, can I flash over the down kernel? Or
Should I reflash thee original bionix back and then proceed to flash dragon as I did with
dow? Sorry im just confused why my build went from bionix to nero with a kernal and not a
Rom. Love it either way.

[Q] what is ULF kernel?

I was wondering that what is ULF kernel? I am using Bionix 1.3.1 with Overstock 1.5 now, I want to flash Trigger Rom then flash the Overstock 2.1 kernel. Is that will work?
I saw that in Overstock 2.1 page," Flash through RED RECOVERY only to install. If you're on a ULF kernel, flash back to a stock+Voodoo kernel first" . What is ULF kernel? Is there any different Kernels, what r the difference?

ULF stands for universal lag fix. It's a type of kernel that can use a variety of different file systems. I don't think anyone is using it anymore because it wasn't very stable. If you are going from one version of Overstock to another you should be fine.
The last kernel it was most commonly used in was Eugene's deadhorse

It was a good idea it just never seemed to work properly. The old ULF kernels would eat my battery in like 8 hours.
