Hey been having a issue for awhile now on my HD2 with the built in youtube. I mean it searches just fine, but when I try to watch the video and connect, it just stays stuck at "Connecting". Now if I load up in IE and watch it whille its embedded in the browser it works fine. But getting a lil annoying now that I cant watch using the app.
I do use Energy Rom and love it, also if I boot into Android mode, the youtube app works fine, Just seems in Windows mode, the youtube stopped working. Oddly it stopped working on my G1 too. Anyone have some ideas?
Personally I don't have issue's with YouTube; but way not asking on the NRG thread?

Cause I dont know 100% if its a NRG rom issue or something else. Reason I say this is, cause Ive had this issue for awhile, and even after rom updates, still something is up. Rarely does it work right, so I dont know what the issue might be.

Don't know what cause your problems. But one question do you have install/use Microsoft Voice commander? I know that this caused problems with the latest YouTube build.
I don't know if you have done/try this already, button do a hard reset or a new install and try than again YouTube before you install a customization/application.
Well when I update the rom, I hard reset. Like I said, it sometimes works, other times it stays on connecting. Makes no sense that it works embedded in a browser tho.

i just noticed that the "My Apps" button in the market now looks like a phone and says "sprint"
If i click on it it doesn't take me to my apps.
Anyone else having this problem?
That's normal for this build. If you click on your Menu, you'll find My Apps there.

I've noticed that if I let the g-tab go to sleep, I'm having to reboot it get it to wake up.
Is anyone else having this issue? I've had my tablet since x-mas, but have nto used it much. It sat in a desk drawer for about 2 months, and I'm just now getting into using it.

I have this issue with every rom ive tried on my gtab. So now I pretty much just install clem's kernel everytime. Plus it gives me CIFS so I can stream media from my windows pc .

Yeah, again it's just the build. There are a ton of hacks that will get you more of the market, but I doubt you'll ever get "everything". Considering that the GTab wasn't blessed by Google, we're lucky to have the devs here to get the market at all.

Another issue with this ROM. Some have fixed it by going to Clemsyn's kernel, others to Pershoot's and still others by using CPU Master Free. Personally, I just set my tab's Screen Timeout to Never. What can I say...I like simple.

Been getting over 2500 on quadrant consistently with a high of 2612. It's the fastest my tab has run so far.

I agree. The only problems I see with it are no news and weather widget like on tnt, and the horrible photo album (I think it's from stock?)

This may be a stupid question, so I am sorry if it is, but Calkulins v1.1 says it is "Based on rooted 2.2 / FRF91 - TnT 3991"...
so can you run it on the 1.1-3588 firmware, or will that brick?

ROM's and Firmware are the same thing. If you're asking whether you can use ClockworkMod or standard recovery, the answer is yes. Calkulin's ROM is a hybrid using the newer 3991 build for features but the older bootloader and recovery. It shouldn't cause you any trouble loading it over 3588.

Woot!! I will say, I bought this on the woot! deal... and although I consider myself very computer savvy, I have never rooted/hijacked/whatever a device before...
Happily this was super easy! I wanted use the stock ROM for a bit to get familiar with it, but I just couldn't stand how slow/unresponsive/just crappy it was!!
So I jumped the gun and started in... luckily I did a lot of reading first!!
Loaded up Clockworkmod - and made a backup first!! lol
Used clockworkmod to install Calkulins ROM---OMG is it fast!!
The found that I was having the sleep-death issue... so I loaded up Clemsyns Kernel Too!!
Not a single hiccup! Even for a noob- this is super easy! Just follow all the great advice on the XDA forums (and don't skip steps!) and you can't screw it up.
Thanks to all the great people on here, for the hard work, and patience... I love seen good communities like this!

clakulins ROM is my prefered ROM so far
But, it needs some issues to be addressed to make it my daily driver.
1- sleep-to-death
I know we can use another kernel to fix this (so I keep this fix for later if everything else can work)
2- Settings/Family accounts/add member
This FC every single time. I definitly need this functionality. My Gtab being a family device....
3- Photos is horrible as previosuly pointed out in this thread. I want a centralized place for all my photos, or at least for local storage + picasa. With this gallery, we can only access picasa public albums. What about my own account !!!
4- Photos started to display pictures roatated one quarter to the left. It doesnt let me re-rotate them back to original. It does that for evey single picture, i cant fix this. Photos is now unusable
I tried a few Photos gallery apps from the market (6-7 so far). None of them works to my liking.
I just want somethings simple that get access to all my pics.
5- Cant play videos anymore. Not even the sample 'car' and 'king kong' that came with the Gtab.
If I can fix all of the above, calkulin will be my only and permanent ROM.
(ps items 4 and 5 were previously working ok in this ROM, this started yesterday)
Also, another things that is on my whish list:
- Have bluetooth HID

So, I decided to install clemsyn kernel to fix this sleep-death problem.
No problem installing, everything went well.
But now instead of comlaining that it cant play videos, it just FC on every videos I try to play.
I feel a complete reinstall will be necessary.
Searched the forum, didn't really find anything relevant so here goes.
Using CM9 right now to experience the ICS goodness (I know..experimental) but it happened with CM7 too which is what I would call a very stable ROM. Can't tell you if it happened with stock touchwiz because I removed that as soon as I got my phone...
At random times when I'm using the phone, it completely freezes and the only way to fix it is to hold the power button down to shut down/turn back on. I'm not doing anything particular so theres no pattern like launching angry birds, 2 minutes later the phone freezes. launch angry birds, freezes..etc.
What I thought could be causing it..
1) Something faulty in the phone.
2) A buggy app in the background that I don't know is running.
3) Losing internet connectivity/service causing an error of some sort..as bizarre as that sounds.
Can anyone help me with this?
Any suggestions/opinions anyone might have would be much appreciated.

Total wipe of the phone and sd card and put a stock rom on is the only way to eliminate bad rom bad apps .
99% of the current problems are all from beta test rom ICS in some shape or form and errors are random and varied .

I know theres lots of problems with CM9 but yeah as I said it was still an issue with CM7. Mostly have the same apps that was on my old HTC desire that was also running CM7 which made me think it was a problem with the phone. I'll try the stock rom idea and see if it helps...kills me to use touchwiz though! I find it ghastly!

You CAN install other launchers so you don't have to look at the TouchWiz launcher, you know. I'm on a stock ROM, haven't looked at the TouchWiz launcher in months.
I know that but I'd rather have the latest and greatest which CM9 seems to be at the moment. All the things that don't work don't really affect me. Also I've been using the stock touchwiz rom and still am having the freezing problem so I'm guessing its a dodgy app...gonna be a long process to determine which one it is though.

Its certainly not what i would put on my phone but it is users choice .
I find a clue in the high number of help or bug posts regarding certain roms is a certain indicator for me to steer clear of. ICS has multiple error posts of a varied nature what works for one phone does not work on another .

All of the sudden I can't use Google Talk. It says connection interrupted. I've tried older versions of the apk. I've tried clearing everything. Even reinstalling the complete ROM. This only happens on the stock or stock based roms. I've been using android for a long time but never seen this before. Anyone else have this problem or suggestions?
Yeah I'm having the same problem. I was on it Sunday the 1st or 2nd, but now I can't log on. Not good since video chat was something I bought this thing for while I'm travelling for work and then found out skype doesn't work and now this...

Im on aokp now and it works fine. It only doesnt work on sto stock based roms for me.
Yeah I got back into skype today and it was working. And mine xfrmer is stock. Talk on the otherg hand is still not connecting and it isn't showing up in the market.
On a different note, for some reason, until I misspelled "other" above, my spacebar would not allow the cursor to continue. Even if I held it down it would return back to the R on its own. WTF.
Sorry, it's hard to find current information without trying to read through dozens of pages of existing ROM threads... I just want to know if I should bother upgrading to a newer custom rom, or if the same issue is persisting. Thanks!

it honestly is a hit or miss issue for people. for some it works as it should and for others (like myself) it crashes. I know google has released a maps update earlier this week but for me it still crashes. ive learned to use telenav for now until google maps gets fixed
as i have said before if you click on the compass in navagtion it will put it in 2d mode. after i did that i have not had a single crash since. it kinda sucks not having the 3d mode but the 2d mode is fully functional

I tried that for awhile but that doesn't work for me either. In fact, the only thing that I can be pretty sure won't crash on me is either 'directions' mode from maps itself, or in navigation if I go to the text driving directions in there. Unfortunately, while it gives you a lot of valuable info in that mode, it doesn't actually tell me how far until the next turn... so still I wait for a fix. :crying:
Hi everyone, Im a bit desperate right now, since Ive searched all the internet (or I tried) and all of xda, but couldnt find a solution to my problem. Also Im unsure what causes it (ROM, device, some app,...?), which is why Im posting in the general section. So on to my problem:
I have a Oneplus 6, with the most current official LOS release. Sometimes when I unlock my phone, some random app will start. I said semi-random, because its mostly Instagram or Authy, probably depending on which of the two I had opened most recently (actually sometimes both will open; I see Authy for a split-second and then instagram will appear and stay), but never (as far as I remember) other apps, even if I had antoher one open before it happens.
Now, I recently discovered that I can reproduce the behavior if I go to developer settings and change the display cutout setting to something different. It will reliably happen. So the screen goes black for a second, (probably re-drawing the UI) come back and Instagram will open. This led me to the idea that the UI crashes in a way. When it happens after unlocking the device, its always black for a second as well, while usually the screen is just there.
I only found evidence of the problem online regarding Samsung phones, mostly using Nova. Im using Nova as well, so that may be the cause. But I dont know for sure.
Does anyone know this problem? Why is it always one of those two apps, that appear? Can a log help me find the issue?
Things I already tried: factory resetting and setting up Nova from the ground.
Help very much appreciated
EDIT: I dug through the log file a bit and found something interesting (as far as I can say, Im far from an expert). I attached the relevant part, may be someone can tell me what happens?

You said factory restore not reflash buddy use the appporiate wording you have a expensive phone you want to modify it and when issues happen you come here if you stood on stock with no modifications or custom rom you wouldn't have this issue I would suggest simply using an alternative launcher

look, if you do not want to help me, thats perfectly fine, then please just dont post. I reflashed the ROM when factory resetting and flashed OOS in between.
If I wanted advice on which ROM or launcher to use, I would have asked for it.
